Udite, o cieli, e tu o terra porgi le orecchie. Il Signore ha parlato: Ho nudriti, e esaltati de' figli: ed eglino mi han disprezzato.
Oid, cielos, y escucha tú, tierra; porque habla Jehová: Crié hijos, y engrandecílos, y ellos se rebelaron contra mí.

Guai alla nazion peccatrice, al popolo aggravato d'iniquità, alla stirpe malvagia, ai figli scellerati: hanno abbandonato il Signore; hanno bestemmiato il santo d'Israele, si non separati, han voltate le spalle.
¡Oh gente pecadora, pueblo cargado de maldad, generación de malignos, hijos depravados! Dejaron á Jehová, provocaron á ira al Santo de Israel, tornáronse atrás.
Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward.

Perchè vi percuoterò io di più, se aggiungete prevaricazioni? Tutto il capo è malato, e tutto il cuore è afflitto;

Che ho da far io della moltitudine delle vostre vittime, dice il Signore? Io ne son pieno. Io non amo gli olocausti degli arieti, e il grasso de' pingui bovi, e il sangue de' vitelli, e degli agnelli, e de' capri.

Non offerite più sagrifizio inutilmente: ho in abbominazione l'incenso. Non posso patire il Novilunio, e il sabato, e le altre feste. Sono iniquità le vostre adunanze.

E allorché stenderete le vostre mani, rivolgerò gli occhi da voi; e allorché moltiplicherete le preghiere, non darò retta; imperocché le mani vostre son piene di sangue.

E venite, e doletevi di me, dice il Signore: se saranno i peccati vostri come cocciniglia, saran fatti bianchi come la neve; e se saran rossi come il baco della cocciniglia, saran fatti del colore di bianca lana.
Venid luego, dirá Jehová, y estemos á cuenta: si vuestros pecados fueren como la grana, como la nieve serán emblanquecidos: si fueren rojos como el carmesí, vendrán á ser como blanca lana.

Come mai la città fedele piena di equità è diventata una adultera? Ella fu già sede di giustizia, ora poi di omicidi.

How is the faithful city become an harlot! it was full of judgment; righteousness lodged in it; but now murderers.
How the faithful city has become a prostitute! She was full of justice. Righteousness lodged in her, but now there are murderers.
Il tuo argento si è cangiato in iscoria: il tuo vino è stato mescolato coll'acqua.
Tu plata se ha tornado escorias, tu vino mezclado está con agua.
Thy silver is become dross, thy wine mixed with water:

I tuoi magnati infedeli fanno a mezzo co' ladri; tutti quanti amano i regali, van dietro al guadagno: non rendon ragione al pupillo, e la causa della vedova non trova accesso presso di loro.
Tus príncipes, prevaricadores y compañeros de ladrones: todos aman las dádivas, y van tras las recompensas: no oyen en juicio al huérfano, ni llega á ellos la causa de la viuda.
Thy princes are rebellious, and companions of thieves: every one loveth gifts, and followeth after rewards: they judge not the fatherless, neither doth the cause of the widow come unto them.

Per questo dice il Signore Dio degli eserciti il (Dio) forte d'Israele: Ahi; che io prenderò satisfazione de' miei avversarj, e farò vendetta de' miei nemici.
Por tanto, dice el Señor Jehová de los ejércitos, el Fuerte de Israel: Ea, tomaré satisfacción de mis enemigos, vengaréme de mis adversarios:

E stenderò sopra di te la mia mano, e purificherò la tua alchimia, e toglierò da te il tuo stagno.
Y volveré mi mano sobre ti, y limpiaré hasta lo más puro tus escorias, y quitaré todo tu estaño:
And I will turn my hand upon thee, and purely purge away thy dross, and take away all thy tin:
I will turn my hand on you, thoroughly purge away your dross, and will take away all your tin.
E renderò i tuoi giudici quali eran prima, e i tuoi consiglieri come in antico, dopo di ciò sarai chiamata città del giusto, città fedele.
Y restituiré tus jueces como al principio, y tus consejeros como de primero: entonces te llamarán Ciudad de justicia, Ciudad fiel.
And I will restore thy judges as at the first, and thy counsellors as at the beginning: afterward thou shalt be called, The city of righteousness, the faithful city.

Sionne sarà redenta in giudizio, e rimessa in libertà per giustizia:

Ma (Dio) distruggerà insieme gli scellerati, e i peccatori, e coloro, che hanno abbandonato il Signore saranno consunti.
Mas los rebeldes y pecadores á una serán quebrantados, y los que dejan á Jehová serán consumidos.

E la vostra fortezza sarà quasi stoppa, che va in faville, e le opere vostre quasi scintilla; e l'una, e l'altre aiuteranno nel fuoco, cui nissuno estinguerà. Al monte della casa del Signore correranno tutte le genti, e da Sionne verrà la legge, ed ella non sarà più molestata dalle guerre. La casa di Giacobbe sarà rigettato per la sua idolatria, avarizia, ec. I superbi saranno umiliati, e solo il Signore sarà esaltato.
