Auf kahlem Berge pflanzt ein Panier auf, ruft ihnen laut zu, winkt mit der Hand, daß sie einziehn in die Thore der Tyrannen!

Levantad bandera sobre un alto monte; alzad la voz á ellos, alzad la mano, para que entren por puertas de príncipes.

Lift ye up a banner upon the high mountain, exalt the voice unto them, shake the hand, that they may go into the gates of the nobles.

Ich selbst habe meine Geweihten entboten, ja berufen meine Helden zur Vollstreckung meines Zorns, meine Jubelnden und Stolzen!

Yo mandé á mis santificados, asimismo llamé á mis valientes para mi ira, á los que se alegran con mi gloria.

I have commanded my sanctified ones, I have also called my mighty ones for mine anger, even them that rejoice in my highness.

Horch! es lärmt auf den Bergen wie zahlreiches Kriegsvolk; horch! es brausen Königreiche, versammelte Völker: Jahwe der Heerscharen mustert ein Kriegsheer.

Murmullo de multitud en los montes, como de mucho pueblo; murmullo de ruido de reinos, de gentes reunidas: Jehová de los ejércitos ordena las tropas de la batalla.

The noise of a multitude in the mountains, like as of a great people; a tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together: the LORD of hosts mustereth the host of the battle.

Sie kommen aus fernem Lande, vom Ende des Himmels, Jahwe und die Werkzeuge seines Grimms, um die ganze Erde zu verheeren.

Vienen de lejana tierra, de lo postrero de los cielos, Jehová y los instrumentos de su furor, para destruir toda la tierra.

Darob werden alle Hände erschlaffen und jegliches Menschenherz verzagen,

Por tanto, se enervarán todas la manos, y desleiráse todo corazón de hombre:

und sie werden bestürzt sein! Krämpfe und Wehen packen sie, wie eine Gebärende winden sie sich; einer starrt den andern an, ihre Gesichter glühen wie Flammen.

Y se llenarán de terror; angustias y dolores los comprenderán; tendrán dolores como mujer de parto; pasmaráse cada cual al mirar á su compañero; sus rostros, rostros de llamas.

And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travaileth: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames.

They will be dismayed. Pangs and sorrows will seize them. They will be in pain like a woman in labor. They will look in amazement one at another. Their faces will be faces of flame.

Schon kommt der Tag Jahwes, grausam und in Grimm und Zornglut, um die Erde zur Wüste zu machen und die Sünder auf ihr hinwegzutilgen.

He aquí el día de Jehová viene, crudo, y de saña y ardor de ira, para tornar la tierra en soledad, y raer de ella sus pecadores.

Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.

Und ich will die Bosheit an der Welt heimsuchen und an den Gottlosen ihre Missethat und dem Übermut der Vermessenen ein Ende machen und den Hochmut der Gewaltthätigen erniedrigen.

Ich will die Sterblichen rarer machen als Gold und die Menschen rarer als Ophirgold.

Haré más precioso que el oro fino al varón, y más que el oro de Ophir al hombre.

Deshalb werde ich den Himmel erschüttern, und die Erde soll erzittern und ihre Stelle wechseln bei dem Grimme Jahwes der Heerscharen und am Tage seiner Zornglut.

Porque haré estremecer los cielos, y la tierra se moverá de su lugar, en la indignación de Jehová de los ejércitos, y en el día de la ira de su furor.

Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.

Und wie gescheuchte Gazellen und wie Schafe, die niemand zusammenhält, werden sie sich ein jeder zu seinem Volke wenden und ein jeder in seine Heimat fliehn.

Y será que como corza amontada, y como oveja sin pastor, cada cual mirará hacia su pueblo, y cada uno huirá á su tierra.

And it shall be as the chased roe, and as a sheep that no man taketh up: they shall every man turn to his own people, and flee every one into his own land.

Schon reize ich wider sie die Meder an, die des Silbers nicht achten und am Golde kein Gefallen haben.

He aquí que yo despierto contra ellos á los Medos, que no curarán de la plata, ni codiciarán oro.

And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees’ excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.

Nie soll sie mehr besiedelt sein, noch bewohnt auf Geschlecht und Geschlecht; nicht sollen dort Araber zelten, noch Hirten dort lagern lassen.

Nunca más será habitada, ni se morará en ella de generación en generación; ni hincará allí tienda el Arabe, ni pastores tendrán allí majada:

It shall never be inhabited, neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation: neither shall the Arabian pitch tent there; neither shall the shepherds make their fold there.

It will never be inhabited, neither will it be lived in from generation to generation. The Arabian will not pitch a tent there, neither will shepherds make their flocks lie down there.

Vielmehr sollen sich Wüstentiere dort lagern und die Häuser mit Uhus angefüllt sein. Strauße sollen dort wohnen und Bocksgeister dort tanzen,

Sino que dormirán allí bestias fieras, y sus casas se llenarán de hurones, allí habitarán hijas del buho, y allí saltarán peludos.

But wild beasts of the desert shall lie there; and their houses shall be full of doleful creatures; and owls shall dwell there, and satyrs shall dance there.

But wild animals of the desert will lie there, and their houses will be full of jackals. Ostriches will dwell there, and wild goats will frolic there.

und die Wildhunde in den Palästen sollen dazu heulen, und die Schakale in den Lustschlössern. Ihre Zeit ist nahe herbeigekommen und ihre Tage werden sich nicht hinziehen.

Y en sus palacios gritarán gatos cervales, y chacales en sus casas de deleite: y abocado está á venir su tiempo, y sus días no se alargarán.

And the wild beasts of the islands shall cry in their desolate houses, and dragons in their pleasant palaces: and her time is near to come, and her days shall not be prolonged.

Hyenas will cry in their fortresses, and jackals in the pleasant palaces. Her time is near to come, and her days will not be prolonged.
