Pesante annunzio sopra Babilonia, veduto da Isaia figliuolo di Amos.

CARGA de Babilonia, que vió Isaías, hijo de Amoz.

Sopra un monte caliginoso piantate lo stendardo, alzate la voce, stendete la mano, ed entrino i condottieri nelle porte.

Levantad bandera sobre un alto monte; alzad la voz á ellos, alzad la mano, para que entren por puertas de príncipes.

Lift ye up a banner upon the high mountain, exalt the voice unto them, shake the hand, that they may go into the gates of the nobles.

Set up a banner on the bare mountain! Lift up your voice to them! Wave your hand, that they may go into the gates of the nobles.

Io ho fatto comandamento a coloro, che son preparati da me, ho chiamati nell'ira mia i miei campioni festeggianti per la mia gloria.

Yo mandé á mis santificados, asimismo llamé á mis valientes para mi ira, á los que se alegran con mi gloria.

I have commanded my sanctified ones, I have also called my mighty ones for mine anger, even them that rejoice in my highness.

I have commanded my consecrated ones; yes, I have called my mighty men for my anger, even my proudly exulting ones.

Strepito di gran gente sulle montagne, quasi di popolo numeroso, voci miste di principi, e di genti adunate. Il Signor degli eserciti ha fatto comandamento alle guerriere milizie,

Murmullo de multitud en los montes, como de mucho pueblo; murmullo de ruido de reinos, de gentes reunidas: Jehová de los ejércitos ordena las tropas de la batalla.

The noise of a multitude in the mountains, like as of a great people; a tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together: the LORD of hosts mustereth the host of the battle.

The noise of a multitude is in the mountains, as of a great people; the noise of an uproar of the kingdoms of the nations gathered together! The LORD of Armies is mustering the army for the battle.

Le quali vengono da rimoti paesi, dagli ultimi confini del mondo. Il Signore, e gli strumenti dell'ira sua viene a disertare tutta la terra.

Vienen de lejana tierra, de lo postrero de los cielos, Jehová y los instrumentos de su furor, para destruir toda la tierra.

They come from a far country, from the end of heaven, even the LORD, and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land.

Alzate le urla; perocché il giorno del Signore è vicino: verrà lo sterminio quale sa mandarlo il Signore.

Aullad, porque cerca está el día de Jehová; vendrá como asolamiento del Todopoderoso.

Howl ye; for the day of the LORD is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty.

Wail, for the LORD’s day is at hand! It will come as destruction from the Almighty.

Per questo tutte le braccia diventeranno languide, e tutti i cuori degli uomini verranno meno,

Por tanto, se enervarán todas la manos, y desleiráse todo corazón de hombre:

Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man’s heart shall melt:

Therefore all hands will be feeble, and everyone’s heart will melt.

E saranno spezzati. Saran presi da tormini, e da dolori; saranno indoglie come una partoriente: ognuno guarderà stupido in faccia il suo vicino; i loro volti, quasi facce abbronzite.

Y se llenarán de terror; angustias y dolores los comprenderán; tendrán dolores como mujer de parto; pasmaráse cada cual al mirar á su compañero; sus rostros, rostros de llamas.

And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travaileth: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames.

They will be dismayed. Pangs and sorrows will seize them. They will be in pain like a woman in labor. They will look in amazement one at another. Their faces will be faces of flame.

Ecco, che verrà il dì del Signore, giorno fiero, e pieno d'indignazione, e d'ira, e di furore, per ridurre in un deserto la terra, e da essa dispergere i peccatori.

He aquí el día de Jehová viene, crudo, y de saña y ardor de ira, para tornar la tierra en soledad, y raer de ella sus pecadores.

Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.

Behold, the day of the LORD comes, cruel, with wrath and fierce anger; to make the land a desolation, and to destroy its sinners out of it.

Perocché le stelle del cielo splendidissime non daranno il solito lume: il sole si è oscurato alla sua levata; e la luna non isplenderà della sua luce.

Por lo cual las estrellas de los cielos y sus luceros no derramarán su lumbre; y el sol se oscurecerá en naciendo, y la luna no echará su resplandor.

For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.

For the stars of the sky and its constellations will not give their light. The sun will be darkened in its going out, and the moon will not cause its light to shine.

E punirò la malvagità della terra, e gli empj per la loro iniquità; e farò tacer la superbia degl'infedeli, e umilierò l'arroganza de' forti.

Y visitaré la maldad sobre el mundo, y sobre los impíos su iniquidad; y haré que cese la arrogancia de los soberbios, y abatiré la altivez de los fuertes.

And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.

L'uomo sarà più prezioso, che l'oro, e pia dell'oro finissimo.

Haré más precioso que el oro fino al varón, y más que el oro de Ophir al hombre.

I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir.

I will make people more rare than fine gold, even a person than the pure gold of Ophir.

Io sconvolgerò ancora il cielo; e sarà smossa dal suo sito la terra, per chè il Signor degli eserciti è sdegnato, e perchè è il giorno dell'ira, e del furore di lui.

Porque haré estremecer los cielos, y la tierra se moverá de su lugar, en la indignación de Jehová de los ejércitos, y en el día de la ira de su furor.

Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.

Therefore I will make the heavens tremble, and the earth will be shaken out of its place in the LORD of Armies’ wrath, and in the day of his fierce anger.

Ed ei saranno quai cervette fuggiasche, e come pecore, che non hanno chi le raduni: ciascuno si volgerà verso il suo popolo, ognuno si fuggirà al proprio paese.

Y será que como corza amontada, y como oveja sin pastor, cada cual mirará hacia su pueblo, y cada uno huirá á su tierra.

And it shall be as the chased roe, and as a sheep that no man taketh up: they shall every man turn to his own people, and flee every one into his own land.

It will happen that like a hunted gazelle and like sheep that no one gathers, they will each turn to their own people, and will each flee to their own land.

Quanti si troveranno (nella città) saranno uccisi; e quanti verranno in aiuto, periranno di spada.

Cualquiera que fuere hallado, será alanceado; y cualquiera que á ellos se juntare, caerá á cuchillo.

Every one that is found shall be thrust through; and every one that is joined unto them shall fall by the sword.

Everyone who is found will be thrust through. Everyone who is captured will fall by the sword.

I loro fanciulli saranno infranti sotto de' loro occhi, saccheggiate le loro case, e disonorate le loro mogli.

Sus niños serán estrellados delante de ellos; sus casas serán saqueadas, y forzadas sus mujeres.

Their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled, and their wives ravished.

Their infants also will be dashed in pieces before their eyes. Their houses will be ransacked, and their wives raped.

Ecco, che io susciterò contro di loro i Medi, i quali non cercano argento, né vogliono oro;

He aquí que yo despierto contra ellos á los Medos, que no curarán de la plata, ni codiciarán oro.

Behold, I will stir up the Medes against them, which shall not regard silver; and as for gold, they shall not delight in it.

Ma uccideranno colle saette i pargoletti, e non avran compassione delle donne, che allattano, né la perdoneranno a' loro bambini.

Y con arcos tirarán á los niños, y no tendrán misericordia de fruto de vientre, ni su ojo perdonará á hijos.

Their bows also shall dash the young men to pieces; and they shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb; their eye shall not spare children.

E quella Babilonia gloriosa tra i regni, di cui andavan superbi i Caldei, sarà come Sodoma, e Gomorra distrutte dal Signore.

Y Babilonia, hermosura de reinos y ornamento de la grandeza de los Caldeos, será como Sodoma y Gomorra, á las que trastornó Dios.

And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees’ excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.

Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldeans’ pride, will be like when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.

Non sarà mai più abitata, e non sarà riedificata di generazione in generazione: né l'Arabo vi alzerà le sue tende, né i pastori anderanno a riposarvi.

Nunca más será habitada, ni se morará en ella de generación en generación; ni hincará allí tienda el Arabe, ni pastores tendrán allí majada:

It shall never be inhabited, neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation: neither shall the Arabian pitch tent there; neither shall the shepherds make their fold there.

It will never be inhabited, neither will it be lived in from generation to generation. The Arabian will not pitch a tent there, neither will shepherds make their flocks lie down there.

Ma vi riposeranno le fiere, e le loro case saran piene di dragoni: e vi abiteranno gli struzzoli, e i satiri vi balleranno:

Sino que dormirán allí bestias fieras, y sus casas se llenarán de hurones, allí habitarán hijas del buho, y allí saltarán peludos.

But wild beasts of the desert shall lie there; and their houses shall be full of doleful creatures; and owls shall dwell there, and satyrs shall dance there.

But wild animals of the desert will lie there, and their houses will be full of jackals. Ostriches will dwell there, and wild goats will frolic there.

E canteranno alternativamente nei loro palazzi i barbagianni, e le sirene nei templi del piacere. Consolazione de' Giudei liberati dalla cattività di Babilonia: superbia, e crudeltà di quella nazione, e vastità de' suoi dominj: punizione de' Filistei, e delle altre genti, che si rallegrarono delle calamità de' Giudei.

Y en sus palacios gritarán gatos cervales, y chacales en sus casas de deleite: y abocado está á venir su tiempo, y sus días no se alargarán.

And the wild beasts of the islands shall cry in their desolate houses, and dragons in their pleasant palaces: and her time is near to come, and her days shall not be prolonged.

Hyenas will cry in their fortresses, and jackals in the pleasant palaces. Her time is near to come, and her days will not be prolonged.
