Ay de aquellos que promulgan leyes injustas y escriben decretos injustos.
¡AY de los que establecen leyes injustas, y determinando prescriben tiranía,
Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write grievousness which they have prescribed;

¡Ellos privan la justicia a los justos, roban a los pobres de mi pueblo sus derechos, saquean viudas, y hacen a los huérfanos sus presas!
Por apartar del juicio á los pobres, y por quitar el derecho á los afligidos de mi pueblo; por despojar las viudas, y robar los huérfanos!
To turn aside the needy from judgment, and to take away the right from the poor of my people, that widows may be their prey, and that they may rob the fatherless!
to deprive the needy of justice, and to rob the poor among my people of their rights, that widows may be their plunder, and that they may make the fatherless their prey!
¿Qué harán ustedes en el día del juicio cuando la destrucción venga desde muy lejos? ¿A quién correrán por ayuda, y dónde dejarán sus riqueza?
¿Y qué haréis en el día de la visitación? ¿y á quién os acogeréis que os ayude, cuando viniere de lejos el asolamiento? ¿y en dónde dejaréis vuestra gloria?
And what will ye do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation which shall come from far? to whom will ye flee for help? and where will ye leave your glory?

Nada queda, y ustedes se agachan entre los prisioneros o caen entre los muertos. En todas estas cosas, Su enojo no se calma; por el contrario, Su mano aún está extendida.
Sin mí se inclinarán entre los presos, y entre los muertos caerán. Ni con todo esto ha cesado su furor, antes todavía extendida su mano.

¡Ay de los asirios, el garrote de Mi enojo, la vara de quien empuño Mi furia!
Oh Assur, vara y bastón de mi furor: en su mano he puesto mi ira.
O Assyrian, the rod of mine anger, and the staff in their hand is mine indignation.

Yo lo mandé contra una arrogante nación y contra el pueblo que procura Mi desbordante ira. Yo ordeno que él tome el despojo, que tome la presa, y que los pisotee como al lodo en las calles.
Mandaréle contra una gente fementida, y sobre el pueblo de mi ira le enviaré, para que quite despojos, y arrebate presa, y que lo ponga á ser hollado como lodo de las calles.
I will send him against an hypocritical nation, and against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.
I will send him against a profane nation, and against the people who anger me I will give him a command to take the plunder and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.
Pero ésto no es lo que él pretende, ni él piensa que sea de esta manera. Está en su corazón el destruir y eliminar muchas naciones.
Aunque él no lo pensará así, ni su corazón lo imaginará de esta manera; sino que su pensamiento será desarraigar y cortar gentes no pocas.
Howbeit he meaneth not so, neither doth his heart think so; but it is in his heart to destroy and cut off nations not a few.

Pues él dice: "¿No son todos mis príncipes reyes?

Como mi mano ha vencido los reinos idólatras, quienes tallaron figuras que eran más grandes que aquellos de Jerusalén y Samaria,
Como halló mi mano los reinos de los ídolos, siendo sus imágenes más que Jerusalem y Samaria;
As my hand hath found the kingdoms of the idols, and whose graven images did excel them of Jerusalem and of Samaria;
As my hand has found the kingdoms of the idols, whose engraved images exceeded those of Jerusalem and of Samaria,
justo como yo le hice a Samaria y sus ídolos sin valor, ¿no voy a hacer lo mismo con Jerusalén y sus ídolos?"

Cuando el Señor haya terminado su obra en el Monte de Sion y en Jerusalén, Yo voy a castigar el lenguaje del corazón arrogante del rey de Asiria y sus miradas orgullosas.
Mas acontecerá que después que el Señor hubiere acabado toda su obra en el monte de Sión, y en Jerusalem, visitaré sobre el fruto de la soberbia del corazón del rey de Asiria, y sobre la gloria de la altivez de sus ojos.
Wherefore it shall come to pass, that when the Lord hath performed his whole work upon mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his high looks.
Therefore it will happen that when the Lord has performed his whole work on Mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the willful proud heart of the king of Assyria, and the insolence of his arrogant looks.
Pues él dice: "Por mi fuerza y por mi sabiduría, yo actué. Yo tengo entendimiento, y yo he removido los límites de los pueblos. Yo he robado sus tesoros, y como un toro yo he demolido a los habitantes.
Porque dijo: Con la fortaleza de mi mano lo he hecho, y con mi sabiduría; porque he sido prudente: y quité los términos de los pueblos, y saqueé sus tesoros, y derribé como valientes los que estaban sentados:
For he saith, By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom; for I am prudent: and I have removed the bounds of the people, and have robbed their treasures, and I have put down the inhabitants like a valiant man:
For he has said, “By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom, for I have understanding. I have removed the boundaries of the peoples, and have robbed their treasures. Like a valiant man I have brought down their rulers.
Mi mano se ha apoderado, como del nido, las riquezas de naciones y como alguien reúne huevos abandonados, yo he reunido toda la tierra. Ninguno aleteó sus alas o abrió su boca o pió."
Y halló mi mano como nido las riquezas de los pueblos; y como se cogen los huevos dejados, así me apoderé yo de toda la tierra; y no hubo quien moviese ala, ó abriese boca y graznase.
And my hand hath found as a nest the riches of the people: and as one gathereth eggs that are left, have I gathered all the earth; and there was none that moved the wing, or opened the mouth, or peeped.
My hand has found the riches of the peoples like a nest, and like one gathers eggs that are abandoned, I have gathered all the earth. There was no one who moved their wing, or that opened their mouth, or chirped.”
¿Se jactará el hacha sobre sí misma en contra de quien la maneja? ¿Se alabará la sierra a sí misma más que el que corta con ella? Es como si una vara pudiera alzar a quienes la levantan, o como si un bastón de madera pudiera alzar a una persona.
¿Gloriaráse el hacha contra el que con ella corta? ¿se ensoberbecerá la sierra contra el que la mueve? como si el bordón se levantase contra los que lo levantan; como si se levantase la vara: ¿no es leño?
Shall the axe boast itself against him that heweth therewith? or shall the saw magnify itself against him that shaketh it? as if the rod should shake itself against them that lift it up, or as if the staff should lift up itself, as if it were no wood.
Should an ax brag against him who chops with it? Should a saw exalt itself above him who saws with it? As if a rod should lift those who lift it up, or as if a staff should lift up someone who is not wood.
Por lo tanto, El SEÑOR Dios de los Ejércitos va a enviar flojera a sus guerreros élites; y bajo Su gloria habrá un encendido ardiente como un fuego.
Por tanto el Señor Jehová de los ejércitos enviará flaqueza sobre sus gordos; y debajo de su gloria encenderá encendimiento, como ardor de fuego.
Therefore shall the Lord, the Lord of hosts, send among his fat ones leanness; and under his glory he shall kindle a burning like the burning of a fire.

La luz de Israel se convertirá en fuego, y su Santo una llama; va a quemar y devorar sus espinas y zarzas en un día.
Y la luz de Israel será por fuego, y su Santo por llama que abrase y consuma en un día sus cardos y sus espinas.
And the light of Israel shall be for a fire, and his Holy One for a flame: and it shall burn and devour his thorns and his briers in one day;

El SEÑOR consumirá la gloria de su bosque y de su tierra fructífera, ambas alma y cuerpo; serán como cuando la vida de un hombre enfermo se desperdicia.
La gloria de su bosque y de su campo fértil consumirá, desde el alma hasta la carne: y vendrá á ser como abanderado en derrota.
And shall consume the glory of his forest, and of his fruitful field, both soul and body: and they shall be as when a standardbearer fainteth.
He will consume the glory of his forest and of his fruitful field, both soul and body. It will be as when a standard bearer faints.
El remanente de los árboles de su bosque va a ser tan poco, que un niño podría contarlos.
Y los árboles que quedaren en su bosque, serán en número que un niño los pueda contar.
And the rest of the trees of his forest shall be few, that a child may write them.
The remnant of the trees of his forest shall be few, so that a child could write their number.
En aquel día, el remanente de Israel, la familia de Jacob que ha escapado, ya no tendrá que confiar en aquel que los venció, pero ciertamente dependerán en el SEÑOR, el Santo de Israel.
Y acontecerá en aquel tiempo, que los que hubieren quedado de Israel, y los que hubieren quedado de la casa de Jacob, nunca más estriben sobre el que los hirió; sino que se apoyarán con verdad en Jehová Santo de Israel.
And it shall come to pass in that day, that the remnant of Israel, and such as are escaped of the house of Jacob, shall no more again stay upon him that smote them; but shall stay upon the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.
It will come to pass in that day that the remnant of Israel, and those who have escaped from the house of Jacob will no more again lean on him who struck them, but shall lean on the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.
Un remanente de Jacob volverá al Dios poderoso.
Las reliquias se convertirán, las reliquias de Jacob, al Dios fuerte.
The remnant shall return, even the remnant of Jacob, unto the mighty God.

Pues aunque tu pueblo, Israel, son como la arena en la costa, sólo un remanente de ellos regresará. La destrucción fue decretada, como demanda la justicia desbordante.
Porque si tu pueblo, oh Israel, fuere como las arenas de la mar, las reliquias de él se convertirán: la destrucción acordada rebosará justicia.
For though thy people Israel be as the sand of the sea, yet a remnant of them shall return: the consumption decreed shall overflow with righteousness.
For though your people, Israel, are like the sand of the sea, only a remnant of them will return. A destruction is determined, overflowing with righteousness.
Pues el SEÑOR de los Ejércitos, está a punto de llevar a cabo la destrucción determinada a través de la tierra.
Pues el Señor Jehová de los ejércitos hará consumación y fenecimiento en medio de la tierra.
For the Lord GOD of hosts shall make a consumption, even determined, in the midst of all the land.
For the Lord, GOD of Armies, will make a full end, and that determined, throughout all the earth.
Por lo tanto el SEÑOR Dios de los Ejércitos dice: "Mi pueblo quien vive en Sion, no teman a los asirios. Él te atacará con la vara y levantará su bastón contra tí, como hicieron los egipcios.
Por tanto el Señor Jehová de los ejércitos dice así: Pueblo mío, morador de Sión, no temas de Assur. Con vara te herirá, y contra ti alzará su palo, á la manera de Egipto:
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD of hosts, O my people that dwellest in Zion, be not afraid of the Assyrian: he shall smite thee with a rod, and shall lift up his staff against thee, after the manner of Egypt.
Therefore the Lord, GOD of Armies, says, “My people who dwell in Zion, don’t be afraid of the Assyrian, though he strike you with the rod, and lift up his staff against you, as Egypt did.
No temas a él, pues en un muy corto tiempo Mi enojo contra tí acabará, y Mi enojo conducirá a su destrucción."
Mas de aquí á muy poco tiempo, se acabará el furor y mi enojo, para fenecimiento de ellos.
For yet a very little while, and the indignation shall cease, and mine anger in their destruction.

Entonces, El SEÑOR de los Ejércitos empuñará un látigo contra ellos, como cuando Él derrotó a Madián en la roca de Oreb. Él levantará Su vara sobre el mar y la alzará como Él hizo en Egipto.
Y levantará Jehová de los ejércitos azote contra él, cual la matanza de Madián en la peña de Oreb: y alzará su vara sobre la mar, según hizo por la vía de Egipto.
And the LORD of hosts shall stir up a scourge for him according to the slaughter of Midian at the rock of Oreb: and as his rod was upon the sea, so shall he lift it up after the manner of Egypt.
The LORD of Armies will stir up a scourge against him, as in the slaughter of Midian at the rock of Oreb. His rod will be over the sea, and he will lift it up like he did against Egypt.
En aquel día, Su carga se levanta de tus hombros y Su yugo de tu cuello, y el yugo será destruído por el engordamiento.
Y acaecerá en aquel tiempo, que su carga será quitada de tu hombro, y su yugo de tu cerviz, y el yugo se empodrecerá por causa de la unción.
And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.
It will happen in that day that his burden will depart from off your shoulder, and his yoke from off your neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing oil.
El enemigo ha venido a Ajat y ha pasado por Migrón; en Micmas él ha almacenado sus provisiones.
Vino hasta Ajad, pasó hasta Migrón; en Michmas contará su ejército:
He is come to Aiath, he is passed to Migron; at Michmash he hath laid up his carriages:
He has come to Aiath. He has passed through Migron. At Michmash he stores his baggage.
Ellos han cruzado sobre el paso y se asentaron en Geba. Ramá tembló y Guibeá de Saúl ha huído.
Pasaron el vado; alojaron en Geba: Ramá tembló; Gabaa de Saúl huyó.
They are gone over the passage: they have taken up their lodging at Geba; Ramah is afraid; Gibeah of Saul is fled.
They have gone over the pass. They have taken up their lodging at Geba. Ramah trembles. Gibeah of Saul has fled.
¡Llora en voz alta, hija de Galim! ¡Presta atención, Lais! ¡Tú pobre Anatot!
Grita en alta voz, hija de Galim; haz que se oiga hacia Lais, pobrecilla Anathoth.
Lift up thy voice, O daughter of Gallim: cause it to be heard unto Laish, O poor Anathoth.
Cry aloud with your voice, daughter of Gallim! Listen, Laishah! You poor Anathoth!
Madmena está huyendo, y los habitantes de Gebim corren por seguridad.

Éste preciso día, él detendrá a Nob y sacudirá Su mano en el monte de la hija de Sion, la colina de Jerusalén.
Aún vendrá día cuando reposará en Nob: alzará su mano al monte de la hija de Sión, al collado de Jerusalem.
As yet shall he remain at Nob that day: he shall shake his hand against the mount of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem.
This very day he will halt at Nob. He shakes his hand at the mountain of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem.
Mirad, el SEÑOR Dios de los Ejércitos cortará las ramas con un terrible estruendo; los árboles más altos serán cortados y el noble será derribado.
He aquí el Señor Jehová de los ejércitos desgajará el ramo con fortaleza: y los de grande altura serán cortados, y los altos serán humillados.
Behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, shall lop the bough with terror: and the high ones of stature shall be hewn down, and the haughty shall be humbled.
Behold, the Lord, GOD of Armies, will lop the boughs with terror. The tall will be cut down, and the lofty will be brought low.
Él cortará el espesor del bosque con un hacha, y Líbano en su majestuosidad caerá.
Y cortará con hierro la espesura del bosque, y el Líbano caerá con fortaleza.
And he shall cut down the thickets of the forest with iron, and Lebanon shall fall by a mighty one.
