¡AY de los que establecen leyes injustas, y determinando prescriben tiranía,

Was wollt ihr doch thun am Tage der Heimsuchung und wenn die Verheerung von fern her einbricht? Zu wem wollt ihr um Hülfe fliehen und wo euren Reichtum lassen?
¿Y qué haréis en el día de la visitación? ¿y á quién os acogeréis que os ayude, cuando viniere de lejos el asolamiento? ¿y en dónde dejaréis vuestra gloria?

Ich sende ihn gegen eine ruchlose Nation und entbiete ihn gegen das Volk meines Ingrimms, daß er Beute mache und Raub hole und es wie Straßenkot zertrete.
Mandaréle contra una gente fementida, y sobre el pueblo de mi ira le enviaré, para que quite despojos, y arrebate presa, y que lo ponga á ser hollado como lodo de las calles.
I will send him against an hypocritical nation, and against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.

Gleichwie meine Hand nach den Königreichen der Götzen gegriffen hat, deren Schnitzbilder doch zahlreicher waren als die in Jerusalem und Samaria, -
Como halló mi mano los reinos de los ídolos, siendo sus imágenes más que Jerusalem y Samaria;

Aber wenn der Herr sein ganzes Werk am Berge Zion und an Jerusalem vollendet hat, wird er die Frucht des stolzen Sinnes des Königs von Assur und den Trotz seiner hochfahrenden Augen heimsuchen!
Mas acontecerá que después que el Señor hubiere acabado toda su obra en el monte de Sión, y en Jerusalem, visitaré sobre el fruto de la soberbia del corazón del rey de Asiria, y sobre la gloria de la altivez de sus ojos.
Wherefore it shall come to pass, that when the Lord hath performed his whole work upon mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his high looks.

Und meine Hand griff nach dem Reichtum der Völker wie nach einem Nest, und wie man verlassene Eier nimmt, so nahm ich die ganze Erde, ohne daß einer die Flügel regte oder den Schnabel aufsperrte und zirpte!

Trotzt wohl die Axt dem, der damit haut? oder thut die Säge groß gegen den, der sie zieht? Wie wenn der Stock den schwänge, der ihn aufhebt, wie wenn die Rute den aufhöbe, der nicht Holz ist!
¿Gloriaráse el hacha contra el que con ella corta? ¿se ensoberbecerá la sierra contra el que la mueve? como si el bordón se levantase contra los que lo levantan; como si se levantase la vara: ¿no es leño?
Shall the axe boast itself against him that heweth therewith? or shall the saw magnify itself against him that shaketh it? as if the rod should shake itself against them that lift it up, or as if the staff should lift up itself, as if it were no wood.
Should an ax brag against him who chops with it? Should a saw exalt itself above him who saws with it? As if a rod should lift those who lift it up, or as if a staff should lift up someone who is not wood.
Darum wird der Herr, Jahwe der Heerscharen, in sein Fett die Darre senden, und unter seiner Macht wird ein Brand entbrennen wie Feuerbrand.
Por tanto el Señor Jehová de los ejércitos enviará flaqueza sobre sus gordos; y debajo de su gloria encenderá encendimiento, como ardor de fuego.

Es wird das Licht Israels zum Feuer und sein Heiliger zur Flamme werden; die wird brennen und seine Dornen und sein Gestrüpp an einem Tage verzehren.

Und seinen mächtigen Wald und seinen Baumgarten wird er vernichten, sowohl Seele als Leib, so daß es ist, wie wenn ein Siecher dahinsiecht;
La gloria de su bosque y de su campo fértil consumirá, desde el alma hasta la carne: y vendrá á ser como abanderado en derrota.

und der Rest der Bäume in seinem Walde wird zu zählen sein, daß ein Knabe sie aufschreiben kann.
Y los árboles que quedaren en su bosque, serán en número que un niño los pueda contar.

An jenem Tag aber werden sich der Rest Israels und die Entronnenen vom Hause Jakobs nicht mehr auf den stützen, der sie geschlagen hat, sondern sich aufrichtig auf Jahwe, den Heiligen Israels, stützen.
Y acontecerá en aquel tiempo, que los que hubieren quedado de Israel, y los que hubieren quedado de la casa de Jacob, nunca más estriben sobre el que los hirió; sino que se apoyarán con verdad en Jehová Santo de Israel.

Denn ein fest beschlossenes Garaus wird der Herr, Jahwe der Heerscharen, inmitten der ganzen Erde vollführen.

For the Lord GOD of hosts shall make a consumption, even determined, in the midst of all the land.

Darum hat der Herr, Jahwe der Heerscharen, also gesprochen: Fürchte dich nicht, mein Volk, das in Zion wohnt, vor Assur, das dich mit dem Stocke schlägt und seine Rute wider dich aufhebt, wie einst die Ägypter;

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD of hosts, O my people that dwellest in Zion, be not afraid of the Assyrian: he shall smite thee with a rod, and shall lift up his staff against thee, after the manner of Egypt.

denn nur noch eine kurze, kleine Weile, so ist mein Grimm zu Ende, und mein Zorn geht daran, sie zu vertilgen!
Mas de aquí á muy poco tiempo, se acabará el furor y mi enojo, para fenecimiento de ellos.
For yet a very little while, and the indignation shall cease, and mine anger in their destruction.

Und Jahwe der Heerscharen wird die Geißel wider sie schwingen, wie damals, als er die Midianiter am Felsen Oreb schlug, und wird seinen Stab über das Meer erheben, wie einst gegen die Ägypter.
Y levantará Jehová de los ejércitos azote contra él, cual la matanza de Madián en la peña de Oreb: y alzará su vara sobre la mar, según hizo por la vía de Egipto.
And the LORD of hosts shall stir up a scourge for him according to the slaughter of Midian at the rock of Oreb: and as his rod was upon the sea, so shall he lift it up after the manner of Egypt.

Und an jenem Tage wird ihre Last von deinem Nacken verschwinden, und dein Hals ihres Joches ledig sein.
Y acaecerá en aquel tiempo, que su carga será quitada de tu hombro, y su yugo de tu cerviz, y el yugo se empodrecerá por causa de la unción.
And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.

Sie überschreiten die Schlucht, in Geba machen sie Nachtquartier, Rama erschrickt, Gibea Sauls flieht.
Pasaron el vado; alojaron en Geba: Ramá tembló; Gabaa de Saúl huyó.
They are gone over the passage: they have taken up their lodging at Geba; Ramah is afraid; Gibeah of Saul is fled.

Schreit laut, Bewohner von Gallim, horcht auf, Laisa, antworte ihr, Anathot!
Grita en alta voz, hija de Galim; haz que se oiga hacia Lais, pobrecilla Anathoth.
Lift up thy voice, O daughter of Gallim: cause it to be heard unto Laish, O poor Anathoth.
Cry aloud with your voice, daughter of Gallim! Listen, Laishah! You poor Anathoth!
Madmena irrt unstät, die Bewohner von Gebim flüchten.

Aún vendrá día cuando reposará en Nob: alzará su mano al monte de la hija de Sión, al collado de Jerusalem.
As yet shall he remain at Nob that day: he shall shake his hand against the mount of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem.

Da reißt der Herr, Jahwe der Heerscharen, das Gezweig herunter mit Schreckensgewalt, daß die Hochragenden umgehauen und die Hohen erniedrigt werden.
He aquí el Señor Jehová de los ejércitos desgajará el ramo con fortaleza: y los de grande altura serán cortados, y los altos serán humillados.
Behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, shall lop the bough with terror: and the high ones of stature shall be hewn down, and the haughty shall be humbled.
Behold, the Lord, GOD of Armies, will lop the boughs with terror. The tall will be cut down, and the lofty will be brought low.
Das Dickicht des Waldes wird mit dem Eisen niedergeschlagen, und der Libanonwald wird durch einen Herrlichen fallen!
