1En medio de sus tribulaciones se levantarán con presteza para convertirse a mí. Venid, dirán, volvámonos al Señor;
2porque él nos ha cautivado, pero él mismo nos pondrá a salvo; él nos ha herido, y él mismo nos curará.
3El mismo nos volverá a la vida después de dos días; al tercer día nos resucitará, y viviremos en la presencia suya. Conoceremos al Señor y les seguiremos para conocerlo. Preparado está su advenimiento como la aurora; y el Señor vendrá a nosotros, como la lluvia de otoño y de primavera sobre la tierra.
4¿Qué es los que podré yo hacer contigo, oh Efraín? ¿Qué haré contigo oh Judá? La piedad vuestra es como una nube o niebla de la mañana, o cual rocío de la madrugada, que luego desaparece.
5Por esto por medio de mis profetas os acepillé, o castigué, con las palabras amenazadoras salidas de mi boca, con las cuales les he acarreado la muerte. Así tu condenación aparecerá clara como la luz.
6Porque la misericordia es la que yo quiero, y no lo exterior del sacrificio; y el conocimiento práctico o temor de Dios, más que los holocaustos.
7Mas ellos han violado mi alianza, a imitación de Adán, allí prevaricaron contra mí.
8Galaad es ahora una ciudad de fabricadores de ídolos, inundada de sangre inocente.
9Su garganta es como la de los ladrones; se ha unido con los sacerdotes impíos que matan en el camino a las gentes que van de Siquem; verdaderamente que son horrendas las cosas que han ejecutado.
10Horrible cosa es la que he visto en la casa o pueblo de Israel; he visto en ella las idolatrías de Efraín. Israel se contaminó.
11Y tú también, ¡oh Judá!, prepárate para la siega; hasta que por fin haga volver del cautiverio al pueblo mío.

1VENID y volvámonos á Jehová: que él arrebató, y nos curará; hirió, y nos vendará.
2Darános vida después de dos días: al tercer día nos resucitará, y viviremos delante de él.
3Y conoceremos, y proseguiremos en conocer á Jehová: como el alba está aparejada su salida, y vendrá á nosotros como la lluvia, como la lluvia tardía y temprana á la tierra.
4¿Qué haré á ti, Ephraim? ¿Qué haré á ti, oh Judá? La piedad vuestra es como la nube de la mañana, y como el rocío que de madrugada viene.
5Por esta causa corté con los profetas, con las palabras de mi boca los maté; y tus juicios serán como luz que sale.
6Porque misericordia quise, y no sacrificio; y conocimiento de Dios más que holocaustos.
7Mas ellos, cual Adam, traspasaron el pacto: allí prevaricaron contra mí.
8Galaad, ciudad de obradores de iniquidad, ensuciada de sangre.
9Y como ladrones que esperan á algún hombre, así junta de sacerdotes mancomunadamente mata en el camino: porque ponen en efecto la abominación.
10En la casa de Israel he visto suciedad: allí fornicó Ephraim, se contaminó Israel:
11También Judá puso en ti una planta, habiendo yo vuelto la cautividad de mi pueblo.

1Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.
2After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.
3Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.
4O Ephraim, what shall I do unto thee? O Judah, what shall I do unto thee? for your goodness is as a morning cloud, and as the early dew it goeth away.
5Therefore have I hewed them by the prophets; I have slain them by the words of my mouth: and thy judgments are as the light that goeth forth.
6For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.
7But they like men have transgressed the covenant: there have they dealt treacherously against me.
8Gilead is a city of them that work iniquity, and is polluted with blood.
9And as troops of robbers wait for a man, so the company of priests murder in the way by consent: for they commit lewdness.
10I have seen an horrible thing in the house of Israel: there is the whoredom of Ephraim, Israel is defiled.
11Also, O Judah, he hath set an harvest for thee, when I returned the captivity of my people.

1“Come! Let’s return to the LORD; for he has torn us to pieces, and he will heal us; he has injured us, and he will bind up our wounds.
2After two days he will revive us. On the third day he will raise us up, and we will live before him.
3Let’s acknowledge the LORD. Let’s press on to know the LORD. As surely as the sun rises, the LORD will appear. He will come to us like the rain, like the spring rain that waters the earth.”
4“Ephraim, what shall I do to you? Judah, what shall I do to you? For your love is like a morning cloud, and like the dew that disappears early.
5Therefore I have cut them to pieces with the prophets; I killed them with the words of my mouth. Your judgments are like a flash of lightning.
6For I desire mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.
7But they, like Adam, have broken the covenant. They were unfaithful to me there.
8Gilead is a city of those who work iniquity; it is stained with blood.
9As gangs of robbers wait to ambush a man, so the company of priests murder on the path toward Shechem, committing shameful crimes.
10In the house of Israel I have seen a horrible thing. There is prostitution in Ephraim. Israel is defiled.
11“Also, Judah, there is a harvest appointed for you, when I restore the fortunes of my people.
