1Hört dieses, ihr Priester! Merkt auf, ihr Israeliten, und gebt acht, ihr Männer am Königshofe! Denn euch geht der Handel an, weil ihr eine Schlinge für Mizpa geworden seid und ein Fangnetz, ausgespannt auf dem Thabor,
2und eine tiefe Fallgrube in Sittim. Ich aber willl für sie alle eine Zuchtrute werden!
3Ich kenne ja Ephraim, und Israel kann sich nicht vor mir verbergen; denn eben jetzt hast du, Ephraim, dem Götzendienste gehuldigt, hat sich Israel mit Unreinem befleckt.
4Ihre eigenen Handlungen erlauben ihnen nicht, zu ihrem Gotte zurückzukehren; denn ein hurerischer Geist wohnt in ihnen und Erkenntnis Jahwes besitzen sie nicht.
5Aber der, der Israels Ruhm ist, wird gegen sie Zeugnis ablegen, daß Israel und Ephraim ob ihrer Verschuldung zu Falle kommen; - zu Falle kommen wird auch Juda mit ihnen.
6Wenn sie sich dann mit ihren Schafen und Rindern aufmachen, um Jahwe zu suchen, werden sie ihn nicht finden: er hat sich von ihnen losgesagt.
7Gegen Jahwe sind sie treulos gewesen; denn sie haben ihm unechte Kinder erzeugt. Daher soll eine Neumondfeier sie samt ihren Äckern verzehren!
8Stoßt in die Posaune in Gibea, in die Trompete zu Rama! Erhebt Kriegsgeschrei in Bethaven! Nimm dich in acht, Benjamin!
9Ephraim soll zu einer Einöde werden am Tage der Züchtigung. Sicheres verkündige ich über die Stämme Israels!
10Die Häupter der Judäer gleichen solchen, die Grenzsteine verrücken; über sie will ich meinen Zorn ausschütten, wie man Wasser ausschüttet.
11In Ephraim läßt man das Recht Gewalt leiden, läßt man es mit Füßen treten; denn es hat sich unterstanden, den nichtigen Götzen zu folgen.
12So ward ich für Ephraim zur Motte und für die Judäer zum nagenden Wurm.
13Als da Ephraim seine Krankheit merkte, und Juda seine Beule, wandte sich Ephraim an Assur und sandte zum König von Jareb. Der aber vermag euch nicht Genesung zu bringen und eurer Beule nicht Heilung,
14weil ich selbst wie ein Löwe gegen Ephraim auftreten werde und wie ein Jungleu gegen das Reich Juda! Ich, ich werde rauben und abziehen, werde wegschleppen, ohne daß jemand errettet,
15werde abziehen und zu meiner Stätte zurückkehren. Denn endlich werden sie ihre Schuld fühlen und mein Antlitz suchen; wenn sie in Not sind, werden sie sich nach mir sehnen:

1SACERDOTES, oid esto, y estad atentos, casa de Israel; y casa del rey, escuchad: porque á vosotros es el juicio, pues habéis sido lazo en Mizpa, y red extendida sobre Tabor.
2Y haciendo víctimas han bajado hasta el profundo: por tanto yo seré la corrección de todos ellos.
3Yo conozco á Ephraim, é Israel no me es desconocido: porque ahora, oh Ephraim, has fornicado, y se ha contaminado Israel.
4No pondrán sus pensamientos en volverse á su Dios, porque espíritu de fornicación está en medio de ellos, y no conocen á Jehová.
5Y la soberbia de Israel le desmentirá en su cara: é Israel y Ephraim tropezarán en su pecado: tropezará también Judá con ellos.
6Con sus ovejas y con sus vacas andarán buscando á Jehová, y no le hallarán; apartóse de ellos.
7Contra Jehová prevaricaron, porque hijos extraños han engendrado: ahora los devorará un mes con sus heredades.
8Tocad bocina en Gabaa, trompeta en Ramá: sonad tambor en Beth-aven: tras ti, oh Benjamín.
9Ephraim será asolado el día del castigo: en las tribus de Israel hice conocer verdad.
10Los príncipes de Judá fueron como los que traspasan mojones: derramaré sobre ellos como agua mi ira.
11Ephraim es vejado, quebrantado en juicio, porque quiso andar en pos de mandamientos.
12Yo pues seré como polilla á Ephraim, y como carcoma á la casa de Judá.
13Y verá Ephraim su enfermedad, y Judá su llaga: irá entonces Ephraim al Assur, y enviará al rey Jareb; mas él no os podrá sanar, ni os curará la llaga.
14Porque yo seré como león á Ephraim, y como cachorro de león á la casa de Judá: yo, yo arrebataré, y andaré; tomaré, y no habrá quien liberte.
15Andaré, y tornaré á mi lugar hasta que conozcan su pecado, y busquen mi rostro. En su angustia madrugarán á mí.
King James Version
1Hear ye this, O priests; and hearken, ye house of Israel; and give ye ear, O house of the king; for judgment is toward you, because ye have been a snare on Mizpah, and a net spread upon Tabor.
2And the revolters are profound to make slaughter, though I have been a rebuker of them all.
3I know Ephraim, and Israel is not hid from me: for now, O Ephraim, thou committest whoredom, and Israel is defiled.
4They will not frame their doings to turn unto their God: for the spirit of whoredoms is in the midst of them, and they have not known the LORD.
5And the pride of Israel doth testify to his face: therefore shall Israel and Ephraim fall in their iniquity; Judah also shall fall with them.
6They shall go with their flocks and with their herds to seek the LORD; but they shall not find him; he hath withdrawn himself from them.
7They have dealt treacherously against the LORD: for they have begotten strange children: now shall a month devour them with their portions.
8Blow ye the cornet in Gibeah, and the trumpet in Ramah: cry aloud at Beth-aven, after thee, O Benjamin.
9Ephraim shall be desolate in the day of rebuke: among the tribes of Israel have I made known that which shall surely be.
10The princes of Judah were like them that remove the bound: therefore I will pour out my wrath upon them like water.
11Ephraim is oppressed and broken in judgment, because he willingly walked after the commandment.
12Therefore will I be unto Ephraim as a moth, and to the house of Judah as rottenness.
13When Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah saw his wound, then went Ephraim to the Assyrian, and sent to king Jareb: yet could he not heal you, nor cure you of your wound.
14For I will be unto Ephraim as a lion, and as a young lion to the house of Judah: I, even I, will tear and go away; I will take away, and none shall rescue him.
15I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early.
World English Bible
1“Listen to this, you priests! Listen, house of Israel, and give ear, house of the king! For the judgment is against you; for you have been a snare at Mizpah, and a net spread on Tabor.
2The rebels are deep in slaughter, but I discipline all of them.
3I know Ephraim, and Israel is not hidden from me; for now, Ephraim, you have played the prostitute. Israel is defiled.
4Their deeds won’t allow them to turn to their God, for the spirit of prostitution is within them, and they don’t know the LORD.
5The pride of Israel testifies to his face. Therefore Israel and Ephraim will stumble in their iniquity. Judah also will stumble with them.
6They will go with their flocks and with their herds to seek the LORD, but they won’t find him. He has withdrawn himself from them.
7They are unfaithful to the LORD; for they have borne illegitimate children. Now the new moon will devour them with their fields.
8“Blow the cornet in Gibeah, and the trumpet in Ramah! Sound a battle cry at Beth Aven, behind you, Benjamin!
9Ephraim will become a desolation in the day of rebuke. Among the tribes of Israel, I have made known that which will surely be.
10The princes of Judah are like those who remove a landmark. I will pour out my wrath on them like water.
11Ephraim is oppressed, he is crushed in judgment, because he is intent in his pursuit of idols.
12Therefore I am to Ephraim like a moth, and to the house of Judah like rottenness.
13“When Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah his wound, then Ephraim went to Assyria, and sent to King Jareb: but he is not able to heal you, neither will he cure you of your wound.
14For I will be to Ephraim like a lion, and like a young lion to the house of Judah. I myself will tear in pieces and go away. I will carry off, and there will be no one to deliver.
15I will go and return to my place, until they acknowledge their offense, and seek my face. In their affliction they will seek me earnestly.”
