Perjurar, y mentir, y matar, y hurtar y adulterar prevalecieron, y sangres se tocaron con sangres.
By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood toucheth blood.

Therefore shalt thou fall in the day, and the prophet also shall fall with thee in the night, and I will destroy thy mother.

O meu povo é destruído por falta de conhecimento. Porque você rejeitou o conhecimento, eu também o rejeitarei, para que você não seja sacerdote para mim. Visto que você se esqueceu da lei do seu Deus, eu também me esquecerei dos seus filhos.

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

O meu povo consulta o seu ídolo de madeira, e pedem respostas a um pedaço de madeira. De fato, o espírito de prostituição os desviou, e eles têm sido infiéis ao seu Deus.
Mi pueblo á su madero pregunta, y su palo le responde: porque espíritu de fornicaciones lo engañó, y fornicaron debajo de sus dioses.
My people ask counsel at their stocks, and their staff declareth unto them: for the spirit of whoredoms hath caused them to err, and they have gone a whoring from under their God.
My people consult with their wooden idol, and answer to a stick of wood. Indeed the spirit of prostitution has led them astray, and they have been unfaithful to their God.

Pois Israel tem se comportado com extrema teimosia, como uma novilha teimosa. Então, como o SENHOR os apascentará como a um cordeiro em uma campina?
Porque como becerra cerrera se apartó Israel: ¿apacentarálos ahora Jehová como á carneros en anchura?
For Israel slideth back as a backsliding heifer: now the LORD will feed them as a lamb in a large place.
For Israel has behaved extremely stubbornly, like a stubborn heifer. Then how will the LORD feed them like a lamb in a meadow?
Efraim está apegado aos ídolos. Deixe-o em paz!

A bebida deles se tornou azeda. Eles se prostituem continuamente. Os governantes dela amam profundamente o seu caminho vergonhoso.
Su bebida se corrompió; fornicaron pertinazmente: sus príncipes amaron las dádivas, afrenta de ellos.
Their drink is sour: they have committed whoredom continually: her rulers with shame do love, Give ye.
