1Doch die Zahl der Kinder Israel wird sein wie der Sand des Meeres, der nicht gemessen und nicht gezählt werden kann; und es wird geschehen, an dem Ort, wo zu ihnen gesagt wurde: Ihr seid nicht mein Volk!, wird zu ihnen gesagt werden: Kinder des lebendigen Gottes.
2Und die Kinder Juda und die Kinder Israel werden sich miteinander versammeln und sich ein Haupt setzen und aus dem Land heraufziehen; denn groß ist der Tag von Jisreel.
3Sprecht zu euren Brüdern: Mein Volk, und zu euren Schwestern: Begnadigte.
4Rechtet mit eurer Mutter, rechtet! – denn sie ist nicht meine Frau, und ich bin nicht ihr Mann – damit sie ihre Hurerei von ihrem Angesicht wegtue und ihren Ehebruch zwischen ihren Brüsten weg:
5damit ich sie nicht nackt ausziehe und sie hinstelle wie an dem Tag, da sie geboren wurde, und ich sie der Wüste gleich mache und sie setze wie ein dürres Land und sie sterben lasse vor Durst. –
6Und ihrer Kinder werde ich mich nicht erbarmen, weil sie Hurenkinder sind.
7Denn ihre Mutter hat gehurt, ihre Gebärerin hat Schande getrieben; denn sie sprach: Ich will meinen Buhlen nachgehen, die mir mein Brot und mein Wasser geben, meine Wolle und meinen Flachs, mein Öl und mein Getränk.
8Darum siehe, ich will deinen Weg mit Dornen verzäunen, und ich will ihr eine Mauer errichten, dass sie ihre Pfade nicht finden soll.
9Und sie wird ihren Buhlen nachlaufen und sie nicht erreichen, und sie wird sie suchen und nicht finden; und sie wird sagen: Ich will hingehen und zu meinem ersten Mann zurückkehren, denn damals ging es mir besser als jetzt.
10Und sie erkannte nicht, dass ich ihr das Korn und den Most und das Öl gab, und ihr Silber und Gold mehrte, was sie für den Baal verwendet haben.
11Darum werde ich mein Korn zurücknehmen zu seiner Zeit und meinen Most zu seiner bestimmten Zeit und werde ihr meine Wolle und meinen Flachs entreißen, die ihre Blöße bedecken sollten.
12Und nun werde ich ihre Schande aufdecken vor den Augen ihrer Buhlen, und niemand wird sie aus meiner Hand erretten.
13Und ich werde all ihrer Freude, ihren Festen, ihren Neumonden und ihren Sabbaten und allen ihren Festzeiten ein Ende machen.
14Und ich werde ihren Weinstock und ihren Feigenbaum verwüsten, von denen sie sagte: Diese sind mein Lohn, den mir meine Buhlen gegeben haben. Und ich werde dieselben zu einem Wald machen, und die Tiere des Feldes werden sie abfressen.
15Und ich werde an ihr die Tage der Baalim heimsuchen, da sie denselben räucherte und sich mit ihren Ohrringen und ihrem Halsgeschmeid schmückte und ihren Buhlen nachging; mich aber hat sie vergessen, spricht der HERR.
16Darum siehe, ich werde sie locken und sie in die Wüste führen und ihr zum Herzen reden;
17und ich werde ihr von dort aus ihre Weinberge geben und das Tal Achor zu einer Tür der Hoffnung. Und sie wird dort singen wie in den Tagen ihrer Jugend und wie an dem Tag, da sie aus dem Land Ägypten heraufzog.
18Und es wird geschehen an jenem Tag, spricht der HERR, da wirst du mich nennen: Mein Mann; und du wirst mich nicht mehr nennen: Mein Baal.
19Und ich werde die Namen der Baalim aus ihrem Mund wegtun, und sie werden nicht mehr mit ihrem Namen erwähnt werden.
20Und ich werde an jenem Tag einen Bund für sie schließen mit den Tieren des Feldes und mit den Vögeln des Himmels und mit den kriechenden Tieren der Erde; und ich werde Bogen und Schwert und den Krieg aus dem Land zerbrechen und werde sie in Sicherheit wohnen lassen.
21Und ich will dich mir verloben in Ewigkeit, und ich will dich mir verloben in Gerechtigkeit und in Gericht und in Güte und in Barmherzigkeit,
22und ich will dich mir verloben in Treue; und du wirst den HERRN erkennen.
23Und es wird geschehen an jenem Tag, da werde ich erhören, spricht der HERR: Ich werde den Himmel erhören, und dieser wird die Erde erhören;
24und die Erde wird erhören das Korn und den Most und das Öl; und sie, sie werden Jisreel erhören.
25Und ich will sie mir säen in dem Land und will mich der Lo-Ruchama erbarmen. Und ich will zu Lo-Ammi sagen: Du bist mein Volk; und es wird sagen: Mein Gott.

1DECID á vuestros hermanos, Ammi, y á vuestras hermanas, Ruhama:
2Pleitead con vuestra madre, pleitead; porque ella no es mi mujer, ni yo su marido; quite pues sus fornicaciones de su rostro, y sus adulterios de entre sus pechos;
3No sea que yo la despoje desnuda, y la haga tornar como el día en que nació, y la ponga como un desierto, y la deje como tierra seca, y la mate de sed.
4Ni tendré misericordia de sus hijos: porque son hijos de fornicaciones.
5Porque su madre fornicó; la que los engendró fué avergonzada; porque dijo: Iré tras mis amantes, que me dan mi pan y mi agua, mi lana y mi lino, mi aceite y mi bebida.
6Por tanto, he aquí yo cerco tu camino con espinas, y la cercaré con seto, y no hallará sus caminos.
7Y seguirá sus amantes, y no los alcanzará; buscarálos, y no los hallará. Entonces dirá: Iré, y volveréme á mi primer marido; porque mejor me iba entonces que ahora.
8Y ella no reconoció que yo le daba el trigo, y el vino, y el aceite, y que les multipliqué la plata y el oro con que hicieron á Baal.
9Por tanto yo tornaré, y tomaré mi trigo á su tiempo, y mi vino á su sazón, y quitaré mi lana y mi lino que había dado para cubrir su desnudez.
10Y ahora descubriré yo su locura delante de los ojos de sus amantes, y nadie la librará de mi mano.
11Y haré cesar todo su gozo, sus fiestas, sus nuevas lunas y sus sábados, y todas sus festividades.
12Y haré talar sus vides y sus higueras, de que ha dicho: Mi salario me son, que me han dado mis amantes. Y reducirélas á un matorral, y las comerán las bestias del campo.
13Y visitaré sobre ella los tiempos de los Baales, á los cuales incensaba, y adornábase de sus zarcillos y de sus joyeles, é íbase tras sus amantes olvidada de mí, dice Jehová.
14Empero he aquí, yo la induciré, y la llevaré al desierto, y hablaré á su corazón.
15Y daréle sus viñas desde allí, y el valle de Achôr por puerta de esperanza; y allí cantará como en los tiempos de su juventud, y como en el día de su subida de la tierra de Egipto.
16Y será que en aquel tiempo, dice Jehová, me llamarás Marido mío, y nunca más me llamarás Baali.
17Porque quitaré de su boca los nombres de los Baales, y nunca más serán mentados por sus nombres.
18Y haré por ellos concierto en aquel tiempo con las bestias del campo, y con las aves del cielo, y con las serpientes de la tierra: y quebraré arco, y espada, y batalla de la tierra, y harélos dormir seguros.
19Y te desposaré conmigo para siempre; desposarte he conmigo en justicia, y juicio, y misericordia, y miseraciones.
20Y te desposaré conmigo en fe, y conocerás á Jehová.
21Y será que en aquel tiempo responderé, dice Jehová, yo responderé á los cielos, y ellos responderán á la tierra;
22Y la tierra responderá al trigo, y al vino, y al aceite, y ellos responderán á Jezreel.
23Y sembraréla para mí en la tierra, y tendré misericordia de Lo-ruhama: y diré á Lo-ammi: Pueblo mío tú; y él dirá: Dios mío.

1Say ye unto your brethren, Ammi; and to your sisters, Ru-hamah.
2Plead with your mother, plead: for she is not my wife, neither am I her husband: let her therefore put away her whoredoms out of her sight, and her adulteries from between her breasts;
3Lest I strip her naked, and set her as in the day that she was born, and make her as a wilderness, and set her like a dry land, and slay her with thirst.
4And I will not have mercy upon her children; for they be the children of whoredoms.
5For their mother hath played the harlot: she that conceived them hath done shamefully: for she said, I will go after my lovers, that give me my bread and my water, my wool and my flax, mine oil and my drink.
6Therefore, behold, I will hedge up thy way with thorns, and make a wall, that she shall not find her paths.
7And she shall follow after her lovers, but she shall not overtake them; and she shall seek them, but shall not find them: then shall she say, I will go and return to my first husband; for then was it better with me than now.
8For she did not know that I gave her corn, and wine, and oil, and multiplied her silver and gold, which they prepared for Baal.
9Therefore will I return, and take away my corn in the time thereof, and my wine in the season thereof, and will recover my wool and my flax given to cover her nakedness.
10And now will I discover her lewdness in the sight of her lovers, and none shall deliver her out of mine hand.
11I will also cause all her mirth to cease, her feast days, her new moons, and her sabbaths, and all her solemn feasts.
12And I will destroy her vines and her fig trees, whereof she hath said, These are my rewards that my lovers have given me: and I will make them a forest, and the beasts of the field shall eat them.
13And I will visit upon her the days of Baalim, wherein she burned incense to them, and she decked herself with her earrings and her jewels, and she went after her lovers, and forgat me, saith the LORD.
14Therefore, behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak comfortably unto her.
15And I will give her her vineyards from thence, and the valley of Achor for a door of hope: and she shall sing there, as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt.
16And it shall be at that day, saith the LORD, that thou shalt call me Ishi; and shalt call me no more Baali.
17For I will take away the names of Baalim out of her mouth, and they shall no more be remembered by their name.
18And in that day will I make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven, and with the creeping things of the ground: and I will break the bow and the sword and the battle out of the earth, and will make them to lie down safely.
19And I will betroth thee unto me for ever; yea, I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies.
20I will even betroth thee unto me in faithfulness: and thou shalt know the LORD.
21And it shall come to pass in that day, I will hear, saith the LORD, I will hear the heavens, and they shall hear the earth;
22And the earth shall hear the corn, and the wine, and the oil; and they shall hear Jezreel.
23And I will sow her unto me in the earth; and I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say to them which were not my people, Thou art my people; and they shall say, Thou art my God.

1“Say to your brothers, ‘My people!’ and to your sisters, ‘My loved one!’
2Contend with your mother! Contend, for she is not my wife, neither am I her husband; and let her put away her prostitution from her face, and her adulteries from between her breasts;
3lest I strip her naked, and make her bare as in the day that she was born, and make her like a wilderness, and set her like a dry land, and kill her with thirst.
4Indeed, on her children I will have no mercy, for they are children of unfaithfulness.
5For their mother has played the prostitute. She who conceived them has done shamefully; for she said, ‘I will go after my lovers, who give me my bread and my water, my wool and my flax, my oil and my drink.’
6Therefore behold, I will hedge up your way with thorns, and I will build a wall against her, that she can’t find her way.
7She will follow after her lovers, but she won’t overtake them; and she will seek them, but won’t find them. Then she will say, ‘I will go and return to my first husband, for then it was better with me than now.’
8For she didn’t know that I gave her the grain, the new wine, and the oil, and multiplied to her silver and gold, which they used for Baal.
9Therefore I will take back my grain in its time, and my new wine in its season, and will pluck away my wool and my flax which should have covered her nakedness.
10Now I will uncover her lewdness in the sight of her lovers, and no one will deliver her out of my hand.
11I will also cause all her celebrations to cease: her feasts, her new moons, her Sabbaths, and all her solemn assemblies.
12I will lay waste her vines and her fig trees, about which she has said, ‘These are my wages that my lovers have given me,’ and I will make them a forest, and the animals of the field shall eat them.
13I will visit on her the days of the Baals, to which she burned incense when she decked herself with her earrings and her jewels, and went after her lovers and forgot me,” says the LORD.
14“Therefore behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak tenderly to her.
15I will give her vineyards from there, and the valley of Achor for a door of hope; and she will respond there as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt.
16It will be in that day,” says the LORD, “that you will call me ‘my husband,’ and no longer call me ‘my master.’
17For I will take away the names of the Baals out of her mouth, and they will no longer be mentioned by name.
18In that day I will make a covenant for them with the animals of the field, and with the birds of the sky, and with the creeping things of the ground. I will break the bow, the sword, and the battle out of the land, and will make them lie down safely.
