Oseas 12

Ephraim si pasce di vento, e va a respirare un'aura ardente; tuttodì accumula le sue menzogne, e le ragioni di sua rovina: ed ha fatta confederazione cogli Assirj, ed ha portato il suo olio in Egitto.

CERCÓME Ephraim con mentira, y la casa de Israel con engaño: mas Judá aun domina con Dios, y es fiel con los santos.

Ephraim feedeth on wind, and followeth after the east wind: he daily increaseth lies and desolation; and they do make a covenant with the Assyrians, and oil is carried into Egypt.

Ephraim feeds on wind, and chases the east wind. He continually multiplies lies and desolation. They make a covenant with Assyria, and oil is carried into Egypt.

Or il Signore verrà a giudizio con Giuda, e visiterà Giacobbe: e renderà a lui mercede secondo le opere sue, e secondo le sue invenzioni.

Ephraim se apacienta del viento, y sigue al solano: mentira y destrucción aumenta continuamente; porque hicieron alianza con los Asirios, y aceite se lleva á Egipto.

The LORD hath also a controversy with Judah, and will punish Jacob according to his ways; according to his doings will he recompense him.

Giacobbe nel sen materno supplantò il fratello, e colla sua fortezza lottò coll'Angelo.

Pleito tiene Jehová con Judá para visitar á Jacob conforme á sus caminos: pagarále conforme á sus obras.

He took his brother by the heel in the womb, and by his strength he had power with God:

In the womb he took his brother by the heel, and in his manhood he contended with God.

E fu superiore all'Angelo, e vinse: e con lagrime a lui si raccomandò. Egli lo trovò a Bethel, ed ivi quegli parlò a noi.

En el vientre tomó por el calcañar á su hermano, y con su fortaleza venció al ángel.

Yea, he had power over the angel, and prevailed: he wept, and made supplication unto him: he found him in Beth-el, and there he spake with us;

Indeed, he struggled with the angel, and prevailed; he wept, and made supplication to him. He found him at Bethel, and there he spoke with us—

E il Signore egli è il Dio degli eserciti; il Signore ebbe egli in memoria.

Venció al ángel, y prevaleció; lloró, y rogóle: en Beth-el le halló, y allí habló con nosotros.

Even the LORD God of hosts; the LORD is his memorial.

even the LORD, the God of Armies. The LORD is his name of renown!

Or tu convertiti al tuo Dio, osserva la misericordia, e la giustizia, e spera sempre nel Dio tuo.

Mas Jehová es Dios de los ejércitos: Jehová es su memorial.

Therefore turn thou to thy God: keep mercy and judgment, and wait on thy God continually.

Therefore turn to your God. Keep kindness and justice, and wait continually for your God.

Ma questo Chananeo ha nelle sue mani una falsa stadera, egli ama di soverchiare.

Tú pues, conviértete á tu Dios: guarda misericordia y juicio, y en tu Dios espera siempre.

He is a merchant, the balances of deceit are in his hand: he loveth to oppress.

A merchant has dishonest scales in his hand. He loves to defraud.

Ma Ephraim va dicendo: Io però mi son fatto ricco, mi sono acquistato un idolo: non si troverà, che in tutte le mie fatiche io abbia commessa ingiustizia.

Es mercader que tiene en su mano peso falso, amador de opresión.

And Ephraim said, Yet I am become rich, I have found me out substance: in all my labours they shall find none iniquity in me that were sin.

Ephraim said, “Surely I have become rich. I have found myself wealth. In all my wealth they won’t find in me any iniquity that is sin.”

Io però fin dalla terra d'Egitto sono il Signore Dio tuo; farò, che tuttora tu ti stia nelle tue tende, come nei giorni di quella solennità.

Y dijo Ephraim: Ciertamente yo he enriquecido, hallado he riquezas para mí: nadie hallará en mí iniquidad, ni pecado en todos mis trabajos.

And I that am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt will yet make thee to dwell in tabernacles, as in the days of the solemn feast.

“But I am the LORD your God from the land of Egypt. I will yet again make you dwell in tents, as in the days of the solemn feast.

Io son quegli, che ho parlato a' profeti, moltiplicai le loro visioni, e me stesso dipinsi per mezzo de' profeti.

Empero yo soy Jehová tu Dios desde la tierra de Egipto: aun te haré morar en tiendas, como en los días de la fiesta.

I have also spoken by the prophets, and I have multiplied visions, and used similitudes, by the ministry of the prophets.

I have also spoken to the prophets, and I have multiplied visions; and by the ministry of the prophets I have used parables.

Se quel di Galaad fu un idolo, dunque in vano s'immolavan de' bovi a Galgal, dappoiché già gli altari di quelli son come que' mucchi di sassi, che son sui solchi del campo.

Y hablado he á los profetas, y yo aumenté la profecía, y por mano de los profetas puse semejanzas.

Is there iniquity in Gilead? surely they are vanity: they sacrifice bullocks in Gilgal; yea, their altars are as heaps in the furrows of the fields.

If Gilead is wicked, surely they are worthless. In Gilgal they sacrifice bulls. Indeed, their altars are like heaps in the furrows of the field.

Si fuggì Giacobbe nel paese della Siria, e Israele servi per una moglie, e fu guardiano di pecore per un'altra moglie.

¿Es Galaad iniquidad? Ciertamente vanidad han sido: en Gilgal sacrificaron bueyes: y aun son sus altares como montones en los surcos del campo.

And Jacob fled into the country of Syria, and Israel served for a wife, and for a wife he kept sheep.

Jacob fled into the country of Aram. Israel served to get a wife. For a wife he tended flocks and herds.

Indi il Signore trasse Israele dall'Egitto per mezzo di un profeta, e salvollo per mezzo di un profeta.

Mas Jacob huyó á tierra de Aram, y sirvió Israel por mujer, y por mujer fué pastor.

And by a prophet the LORD brought Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet was he preserved.

By a prophet the LORD brought Israel up out of Egypt, and by a prophet he was preserved.

Ephraim con fieri disgusti a sdegno mi provocò; sopra di fui caderà il suo sangue, e il suo Signore renderà a lui gl'insulti, che ad esso egli fece. Le abbominazioni d'Israele saranno cagione di sua rovina. Dio è il solo liberatore. Benefizj fatti al popolo nel deserto, e ingratitudine dello stesso popolo, la quale sarà punita. Nondimeno promette di liberarli dalla morte col vincere la morte stessa, e l'inferno.

Y por profeta hizo subir Jehová á Israel de Egipto, y por profeta fué guardado. Enojado ha Ephraim á Dios con amarguras; por tanto, sus sangres se derramarán sobre él, y su Señor le pagará su oprobio.

Ephraim provoked him to anger most bitterly: therefore shall he leave his blood upon him, and his reproach shall his Lord return unto him.

Ephraim has bitterly provoked anger. Therefore his blood will be left on him, and his Lord will repay his contempt.
