CERCÓME Ephraim con mentira, y la casa de Israel con engaño: mas Judá aun domina con Dios, y es fiel con los santos.
Ephraim feedeth on wind, and followeth after the east wind: he daily increaseth lies and desolation; and they do make a covenant with the Assyrians, and oil is carried into Egypt.

Yahvé también tiene pleito con Judá, y castigará a Jacob según sus caminos; le pagará conforme a sus obras.

He is a merchant, the balances of deceit are in his hand: he loveth to oppress.

Efraín dijo: «Ciertamente me he enriquecido. He hallado riquezas para mí. En todos mis trabajos no hallarán en mí iniquidad que sea pecado».
Es mercader que tiene en su mano peso falso, amador de opresión.
And Ephraim said, Yet I am become rich, I have found me out substance: in all my labours they shall find none iniquity in me that were sin.
Ephraim said, “Surely I have become rich. I have found myself wealth. In all my wealth they won’t find in me any iniquity that is sin.”
«Pero yo soy Yahvé, tu Dios, desde la tierra de Egipto. Aún os haré morar en tiendas, como en los días de la fiesta solemne.
Y dijo Ephraim: Ciertamente yo he enriquecido, hallado he riquezas para mí: nadie hallará en mí iniquidad, ni pecado en todos mis trabajos.
And I that am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt will yet make thee to dwell in tabernacles, as in the days of the solemn feast.

Is there iniquity in Gilead? surely they are vanity: they sacrifice bullocks in Gilgal; yea, their altars are as heaps in the furrows of the fields.
If Gilead is wicked, surely they are worthless. In Gilgal they sacrifice bulls. Indeed, their altars are like heaps in the furrows of the field.
Jacob huyó a la tierra de Aram. Israel sirvió para conseguir una esposa. Por una mujer, cuidó rebaños.
¿Es Galaad iniquidad? Ciertamente vanidad han sido: en Gilgal sacrificaron bueyes: y aun son sus altares como montones en los surcos del campo.
And Jacob fled into the country of Syria, and Israel served for a wife, and for a wife he kept sheep.
Jacob fled into the country of Aram. Israel served to get a wife. For a wife he tended flocks and herds.
Y por un profeta, Yahvé hizo subir a Israel de Egipto, y por un profeta fue guardado.
Mas Jacob huyó á tierra de Aram, y sirvió Israel por mujer, y por mujer fué pastor.

Efraín ha provocado a Dios a amarga ira. Por tanto, su sangre recaerá sobre él, y su Señor le pagará su oprobio».
Y por profeta hizo subir Jehová á Israel de Egipto, y por profeta fué guardado. Enojado ha Ephraim á Dios con amarguras; por tanto, sus sangres se derramarán sobre él, y su Señor le pagará su oprobio.
Ephraim provoked him to anger most bitterly: therefore shall he leave his blood upon him, and his reproach shall his Lord return unto him.
Ephraim has bitterly provoked anger. Therefore his blood will be left on him, and his Lord will repay his contempt.
