Durch einen Seher aber hat der Herr einst Israel aus dem Ägypterland herausgeführt; durch einen Seher ward's gehütet. Doch hat ihm bittern Kummer Ephraim bereitet; drum wird er seine Blutschuld auf ihm lassen, und ahnden wird der Herr an ihm die zugefügte Schmach.
Y por profeta hizo subir Jehová á Israel de Egipto, y por profeta fué guardado. Enojado ha Ephraim á Dios con amarguras; por tanto, sus sangres se derramarán sobre él, y su Señor le pagará su oprobio.
Ephraim provoked him to anger most bitterly: therefore shall he leave his blood upon him, and his reproach shall his Lord return unto him.
Ephraim has bitterly provoked anger. Therefore his blood will be left on him, and his Lord will repay his contempt.
