He shall not return into the land of Egypt, but the Assyrian shall be his king, because they refused to return.
“They won’t return into the land of Egypt; but the Assyrian will be their king, because they refused to repent.
La spada ha cominciato di andar in giro pelle loro città, e sterminerà i cittadini migliori, e divorerà i loro capi.
Y caerá espada sobre sus ciudades, y consumirá sus aldeas; consumirálas á causa de sus consejos.
And the sword shall abide on his cities, and shall consume his branches, and devour them, because of their own counsels.
The sword will fall on their cities, and will destroy the bars of their gates, and will put an end to their plans.
E il mio popolo aspetterà ansiosamente il mio ritorno; ma il giogo, che sarà imposto a tutti loro, non sarà tolto.
Entre tanto, está mi pueblo adherido á la rebelión contra mí: aunque lo llaman al Altísimo, ninguno absolutamente quiere ensalzarle.
And my people are bent to backsliding from me: though they called them to the most High, none at all would exalt him.
My people are determined to turn from me. Though they call to the Most High, he certainly won’t exalt them.
Che farò io di te, o Ephraim? ti proteggerò io, o Israele? ma in qual modo potrò io trattarti come Adama, e ridurti come Seboim? Il mio cuore alterna dentro di me, io mi ripento insieme, e mi conturbo.
¿Cómo tengo de dejarte, oh Ehpraim? ¿he de entregarte yo, Israel? ¿cómo podré yo hacerte como Adma, ni ponerte como á Zeboim? Mi corazón se revuelve dentro de mí, inflámanse todas mis conmiseraciones.
How shall I give thee up, Ephraim? how shall I deliver thee, Israel? how shall I make thee as Admah? how shall I set thee as Zeboim? mine heart is turned within me, my repentings are kindled together.
“How can I give you up, Ephraim? How can I hand you over, Israel? How can I make you like Admah? How can I make you like Zeboiim? My heart is turned within me, my compassion is aroused.
Non lascerò agire il furore dell'ira mia; non m'indurrò a sperdere Ephraim, perchè io son Dio, e non un uomo: il santo in mezzo a te, e io non entrerò nella città.
No ejecutaré el furor de mi ira, no volveré para destruir á Ephraim: porque Dios soy, y no hombre; el Santo en medio de ti: y no entraré en la ciudad.
I will not execute the fierceness of mine anger, I will not return to destroy Ephraim: for I am God, and not man; the Holy One in the midst of thee: and I will not enter into the city.

Eglino seguiranno il Signore, egli ruggirà qual lione, ruggirà egli stesso, e ne avranno spavento i figliuoli del mare.
En pos de Jehová caminarán: él bramará como león: cual león rugirá él de cierto, y los hijos se moverán azorados del occidente.

E voleran dall'Egitto come un uccello, e dall'Assiria come una colomba, e io li rimetterò nelle case loro, dice il Signore.
Como ave se moverán velozmente de Egipto, y de la tierra de Asiria como paloma; y pondrélos en sus casas, dice Jehová.
They shall tremble as a bird out of Egypt, and as a dove out of the land of Assyria: and I will place them in their houses, saith the LORD.
They will come trembling like a bird out of Egypt, and like a dove out of the land of Assyria; and I will settle them in their houses,” says the LORD.
Ephraim mi ha circonvenuto con rinnegarmi, e la casa d'Israele colle sue frodi; ma Giuda è venuto a rendere testimonianza a Dio, ed è fedele co' santi. Israele Invano spera nella protezione dell'Egitto. A lui, e a Giuda il Signore darà la mercede, che è dovuta alle opere loro; e con tutto ciò offerisce ad essi la pace: idoli di Galaad, e di Galgal.

Ephraim compasseth me about with lies, and the house of Israel with deceit: but Judah yet ruleth with God, and is faithful with the saints.
Ephraim surrounds me with falsehood, and the house of Israel with deceit. Judah still strays from God, and is unfaithful to the Holy One.
