Hebreos 7

Imperocché questo Melchisedech (era) Re di Salem, sacerdote del sommo Dio, il quale andò incontro d'Abramo, che ritornava dalla rotta dei Re, e lo benedisse:

PORQUE este Melchîsedec, rey de Salem, sacerdote del Dios Altísimo, el cual salió á recibir á Abraham que volvía de la derrota de los reyes, y le bendijo,

For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;

For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of God Most High, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him,

A cui diede ancora Abramo la decima di tutte le cose: il quale primieramente si interpreta Re di giustizia: e poi Re di Salem, viene a dire, Re di pace,

Al cual asimismo dió Abraham los diezmos de todo, primeramente él se interpreta Rey de justicia; y luego también Rey de Salem, que es, Rey de paz;

To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;

to whom also Abraham divided a tenth part of all (being first, by interpretation, “king of righteousness”, and then also “king of Salem”, which means “king of peace”,

Senza padre, senza madre, senza genealogia, senza principio di giorni, senza fine di vita, è rassomigliato al Figliuolo di Dio, rimane sacerdote in eterno.

Sin padre, sin madre, sin linaje; que ni tiene principio de días, ni fin de vida, mas hecho semejante al Hijo de Dios, permanece sacerdote para siempre.

Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.

without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but made like the Son of God), remains a priest continually.

Ma osservate, quanto sia grande costui, al quale diede la decima delle cose migliori anche Abramo il patriarca.

Mirad pues cuán grande fué éste, al cual aun Abraham el patriarca dió diezmos de los despojos.

Now consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils.

Now consider how great this man was, to whom even Abraham the patriarch gave a tenth out of the best plunder.

Or quegli, che de' figliuoli di Levi sono assunti al sacerdozio, hanno ordine di ricever le decime dal popolo secondo la legge, cioè a dire, dai propri fratelli, quantunque ancor essi usciti dai lombi di Abramo.

Y ciertamente los que de los hijos de Leví toman el sacerdocio, tienen mandamiento de tomar del pueblo los diezmos según la ley, es á saber, de sus hermanos aunque también hayan salido de los lomos de Abraham.

And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham:

They indeed of the sons of Levi who receive the priest’s office have a commandment to take tithes from the people according to the law, that is, of their brothers, though these have come out of the body of Abraham,

Ma questi, del quale non è tra di quegli riferita la schiatta, ricevette le decime da Abramo, ed a lui, che aveva le promesse, diede la benedizione.

Mas aquél cuya genealogía no es contada de ellos, tomó de Abraham los diezmos, y bendijo al que tenía las promesas.

But he whose descent is not counted from them received tithes of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises.

but he whose genealogy is not counted from them has accepted tithes from Abraham, and has blessed him who has the promises.

Or senza alcun dubbio il minore dal maggiore riceve la benedizione.

Y sin contradicción alguna, lo que es menos es bendecido de lo que es más.

And without all contradiction the less is blessed of the better.

But without any dispute the lesser is blessed by the greater.

E qui ricevon le decime uomini mortali: là poi uno, del quale è attestata la vita.

Y aquí ciertamente los hombres mortales toman los diezmos: mas allí, aquel del cual está dado testimonio que vive.

And here men that die receive tithes; but there he receiveth them, of whom it is witnessed that he liveth.

Here people who die receive tithes, but there one receives tithes of whom it is testified that he lives.

E (per parlare così) in Abramo pagò le decime anche Levi, il quale riscuote le decime:

Y, por decirlo así, en Abraham fué diezmado también Leví, que recibe los diezmos;

And as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, payed tithes in Abraham.

We can say that through Abraham even Levi, who receives tithes, has paid tithes,

Imperocché questi era tuttora ne' lombi del padre, quando a questo andò incontro Melchisedech.

Porque aun estaba en los lomos de su padre cuando Melchîsedec le salió al encuentro.

For he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchisedec met him.

for he was yet in the body of his father when Melchizedek met him.

Se adunque la perfezione si aveva mediante il sacerdozio Levitico (imperocché sotto di questo ricevette il popolo la legge) qual bisogno vi fu di poi, che uscisse fuori un altro sacerdote secondo l'ordine di Melchisedech, e non fosse detto secondo l'ordine di Aronne?

Si pues la perfección era por el sacerdocio Levítico (porque debajo de él recibió el pueblo la ley) ¿qué necesidad había aún de que se levantase otro sacerdote según el orden de Melchîsedec, y que no fuese llamado según el orden de Aarón?

If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?

Now if perfection was through the Levitical priesthood (for under it the people have received the law), what further need was there for another priest to arise after the order of Melchizedek, and not be called after the order of Aaron?

Imperocché trasportato il sacerdozio, è di necessità, che si muti anche la legge.

Pues mudado el sacerdocio, necesario es que se haga también mudanza de la ley.

For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.

For the priesthood being changed, there is of necessity a change made also in the law.

Imperocché quegli, per causa del quale queste cose si dicono, ad un'altra tribù appartiene, della quale nissuno servi all'altare.

Porque aquel del cual esto se dice, de otra tribu es, de la cual nadie asistió al altar.

For he of whom these things are spoken pertaineth to another tribe, of which no man gave attendance at the altar.

For he of whom these things are said belongs to another tribe, from which no one has officiated at the altar.

Imperocché ella è cosa evidente, che della tribù di Giuda nacque il Signor nostro: alla qual tribù Mosè non parlò mai di sacerdozio.

Porque notorio es que el Señor nuestro nació de la tribu de Judá, sobre cuya tribu nada habló Moisés tocante al sacerdocio.

For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood.

For it is evident that our Lord has sprung out of Judah, about which tribe Moses spoke nothing concerning priesthood.

E questo tanto più è manifesto; mentre un altro sacerdote esce fuori, che è simile a Melchisedech,

Y aun más manifiesto es, si á semejanza de Melchîsedec se levanta otro sacerdote,

And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest,

This is yet more abundantly evident, if after the likeness of Melchizedek there arises another priest,

Il quale è fatto sacerdote non secondo la legge de' riti carnali, ma per virtù di una vita indissolubile.

El cual no es hecho conforme á la ley del mandamiento carnal, sino según la virtud de vida indisoluble;

Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.

who has been made, not after the law of a fleshly commandment, but after the power of an endless life;

Imperocché lo dichiara così: tu se' sacerdote in eterno secondo l'ordine di Melchisedech.

Pues se da testimonio de él: Tú eres sacerdote para siempre, según el orden de Melchîsedec.

For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

for it is testified, “You are a priest forever, according to the order of Melchizedek.”

Or il precedente ordinamento viene rivocato per la sua debolezza, e inutilità:

El mandamiento precedente, cierto se abroga por su flaqueza é inutilidad;

For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.

For there is an annulling of a foregoing commandment because of its weakness and uselessness

(Imperocché niuna cosa condusse a perfezione la legge): ma dopo di essa s'introduce una migliore speranza, per la quale a Dio ci accostiamo.

Porque nada perfeccionó la ley; mas hízolo la introducción de mejor esperanza, por la cual nos acercamos á Dios.

For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.

(for the law made nothing perfect), and a bringing in of a better hope, through which we draw near to God.

E di più (sacerdote) non senza giuramento (conciossiaché gli altri sono stati fatti sacerdoti senza giuramento;

Y por cuanto no fué sin juramento,

And inasmuch as not without an oath he was made priest:

Inasmuch as he was not made priest without the taking of an oath

Ma questi col giuramento da lui, che dissegli: giurò il Signore, e non si ritratterà: tu se' sacerdote in eterno:)

(Porque los otros cierto sin juramento fueron hechos sacerdotes; mas éste, con juramento por el que le dijo: Juró el Señor, y no se arrepentirá: Tú eres sacerdote eternamente según el orden de Melchîsedec:)

(For those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said unto him, The Lord sware and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec:)

(for they indeed have been made priests without an oath), but he with an oath by him that says of him, “The Lord swore and will not change his mind, ‘You are a priest forever, according to the order of Melchizedek.’”

Di lauto migliore alleanza è divenuto mallevadore Gesù.

Tanto de mejor testamento es hecho fiador Jesús.

By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament.

By so much, Jesus has become the guarantee of a better covenant.

E quegli sono stati molti sacerdoti, perché la morte non permetteva, che molto durassero:

Y los otros cierto fueron muchos sacerdotes, en cuanto por la muerte no podían permanecer.

And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death:

Many, indeed, have been made priests, because they are hindered from continuing by death.

Ma questi, perché dura in eterno, ha un sacerdozio, che non passa.

Mas éste, por cuanto permanece para siempre, tiene un sacerdocio inmutable:

But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.

But he, because he lives forever, has his priesthood unchangeable.

Onde ancora può in perpetuo salvare coloro, che per mezzo suo si accostano a Dio: vivendo sempre, affin di supplicare per noi.

Por lo cual puede también salvar eternamente á los que por él se allegan á Dios, viviendo siempre para interceder por ellos.

Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

Therefore he is also able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, seeing that he lives forever to make intercession for them.

Imperocché tale conveniva, che noi avessimo pontefice, santo, innocente, immacolato, segregato da' peccatori, e sublimato sopra de' cieli:

Porque tal pontífice nos convenía: santo, inocente, limpio, apartado de los pecadores, y hecho más sublime que los cielos;

For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

For such a high priest was fitting for us: holy, guiltless, undefiled, separated from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

Il quale non ha necessità, come que' sacerdoti, di offerir ostie ogni giorno prima pe' suoi peccati, poi per quelli del popolo: imperocché ciò fece egli una volta, offerendo se stesso.

Que no tiene necesidad cada día, como los otros sacerdotes, de ofrecer primero sacrificios por sus pecados, y luego por los del pueblo: porque esto lo hizo una sola vez, ofreciéndose á sí mismo.

Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people’s: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.

who doesn’t need, like those high priests, to offer up sacrifices daily, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people. For he did this once for all, when he offered up himself.

Imperocché la legge costituì sacerdoti uomini infermi: ma la parola del giuramento posteriore alla legge (costituì) il Figliuolo perfetto in eterno. Il sacerdozio di Cristo è più eccellente del Levitico, sedendo egli alla destra del Padre ne' cieli, ed essendo ministro di sagramenti maggiori, che i sacerdoti dell'antica legge: dimostra ancora la necessità del nuovo testamento per l'imperfezione del vecchio, e per la promessa di Dio presso Geremia.

Porque la ley constituye sacerdotes á hombres flacos; mas la palabra del juramento, después de la ley, constituye al Hijo, hecho perfecto para siempre.

For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.

For the law appoints men as high priests who have weakness, but the word of the oath, which came after the law, appoints a Son forever who has been perfected.
