1nos ha hablado últimamente en estos días, por medio de su Hijo Jesucristo, a quien constituyó heredero universal de todas las cosas, por quien creó también los siglos y cuanto ha existido en ellos.
2El cual siendo como es el resplandor de su gloria y vivo retrato de su sustancia, y sustentándolo y rigiéndolo todo con sola su poderosa palabra, después de habernos purificado de nuestros pecados, está sentado a la diestra de la majestad en lo más alto de los cielos,
3hecho tanto más superior y excelente que los ángeles, cuanto es más aventajado el nombre que recibió por herencia o naturaleza.
4Porque ¿a cuál de los ángeles dijo jamás: Hijo mío eres tú, yo te he engendrado hoy? ¿Y así mismo: Yo seré padre suyo, y él será hijo mío?
5Y otra vez al introducir a su primogénito en el mundo, dice: Adórenle todos los ángeles de Dios.
6Así mismo en orden a los ángeles dice la Escritura: El que a sus ángeles o embajadores los hace espíritus o ligeros como el viento, y a sus ministros activos como la ardiente llama;
7mientras al Hijo le dice: El trono tuyo, ¡oh Dios!, subsistirá por los siglos de los siglos; cetro de rectitud, el cetro de tu reino;
8amaste la justicia y aborreciste la iniquidad; por eso, ¡oh Dios!, el Dios y Padre tuyo te ungió con óleo de júbilo mucho más que a tus compañeros.
9Y en otro lugar se dice del hijo de Dios: Tú eres, ¡oh Señor!, el que al principio fundó la tierra, y obras de tus manos son los cielos,
10ellos perecerán, mas tú permanecerás siempre el mismo, y todos como vestidos se envejecerán,
11y como un manto o ropa así los mudarás, y quedarán mudados; pero tú eres para siempre el mismo, y tus años o tus días nunca se acabarán, pues eres eterno.
12En fin, ¿a qué ángel ha dicho jamás: Siéntate tú a mi diestra, mientras tanto que pongo a tus enemigos por tarima o estrado de tus pies?
13¿Por ventura no son todos ellos unos espíritus que hacen el oficio de servidores o ministros enviados de Dios, para ejercer su ministerio en favor de aquellos que deben ser los herederos de la salud?
14Por tanto, es menester que observemos con mayor empeño las cosas que hemos oído de su boca, a fin de que no quedemos por desgracia del todo vacíos.

1DIOS, habiendo hablado muchas veces y en muchas maneras en otro tiempo á los padres por los profetas,
2En estos postreros días nos ha hablado por el Hijo, al cual constituyó heredero de todo, por el cual asimismo hizo el universo:
3El cual siendo el resplandor de su gloria, y la misma imagen de su sustancia, y sustentando todas las cosas con la palabra de su potencia, habiendo hecho la purgación de nuestros pecados por sí mismo, se sentó á la diestra de la Majestad en las alturas,
4Hecho tanto más excelente que los ángeles, cuanto alcanzó por herencia más excelente nombre que ellos.
5Porque ¿á cuál de los ángeles dijo Dios jamás: Mi hijo eres tú, hoy yo te he engendrado? y otra vez: Yo seré á él Padre, y él me será á mí hijo?
6Y otra vez, cuando introduce al Primogénito en la tierra, dice: Y adórenle todos los ángeles de Dios.
7Y ciertamente de los ángeles dice: El que hace á sus ángeles espíritus, y á sus ministros llama de fuego.
8Mas al hijo: Tu trono, oh Dios, por el siglo del siglo; vara de equidad la vara de tu reino;
9Has amado la justicia, y aborrecido la maldad; por lo cual te ungió Dios, el Dios tuyo, con óleo de alegría más que á tus compañeros.
10Y: Tú, oh Señor, en el principio fundaste la tierra; y los cielos son obras de tus manos:
11Ellos perecerán, mas tú eres permanente; y todos ellos se envejecerán como una vestidura;
12Y como un vestido los envolverás, y serán mudados; empero tú eres el mismo, y tus años no acabarán.
13Pues, ¿á cuál de los ángeles dijo jamás: Siéntate á mi diestra, hasta que ponga á tus enemigos por estrado de tus pies?
14¿No son todos espíritus administradores, enviados para servicio á favor de los que serán herederos de salud?

1God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
3Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
4Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
5For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?
6And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.
7And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.
8But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
9Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
10And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands:
11They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment;
12And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.
13But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?
14Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?
World English Bible
1God, having in the past spoken to the fathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways,
2has at the end of these days spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom also he made the worlds.
3His Son is the radiance of his glory, the very image of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, who, when he had by himself purified us of our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high,
4having become as much better than the angels as the more excellent name he has inherited is better than theirs.
5For to which of the angels did he say at any time, “You are my Son. Today I have become your father?” and again, “I will be to him a Father, and he will be to me a Son?”
6When he again brings in the firstborn into the world he says, “Let all the angels of God worship him.”
7Of the angels he says, “He makes his angels winds, and his servants a flame of fire.”
8But of the Son he says, “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever. The scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your Kingdom.
9You have loved righteousness and hated iniquity; therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness above your fellows.”
10And, “You, Lord, in the beginning, laid the foundation of the earth. The heavens are the works of your hands.
11They will perish, but you continue. They all will grow old like a garment does.
12You will roll them up like a mantle, and they will be changed; but you are the same. Your years won’t fail.”
13But which of the angels has he told at any time, “Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies the footstool of your feet?”
14Aren’t they all serving spirits, sent out to do service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation?
