En el segundo año del rey Darío, en el sexto mes, en el primer día del mes, la palabra del SEÑOR vino por la mano de Hageo, el profeta, para el gobernador de Judá, Zorobabel hijo de Salatiel, y para el sacerdote principal, Josué hijo de Jehosadac, diciendo:
EN el año segundo del rey Darío en el mes sexto, en el primer día del mes, fué palabra de Jehová, por mano del profeta Haggeo, á Zorobabel hijo de Sealtiel, gobernador de Judá, y á Josué hijo de Josadac, gran sacerdote, diciendo:
In the second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, in the first day of the month, came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet unto Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, saying,
In the second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, in the first day of the month, the LORD’s word came by Haggai the prophet, to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, saying,
"El SEÑOR de los ejércitos dice esto: Esté pueblo dice: 'No es el tiempo para nosotros venir o construir la casa del SEÑOR."'
Jehová de los ejércitos habla así, diciendo: Este pueblo dice: No es aún venido el tiempo, el tiempo de que la casa de Jehová sea reedificada.
Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, This people say, The time is not come, the time that the LORD’s house should be built.
“This is what the LORD of Armies says: These people say, ‘The time hasn’t yet come, the time for the LORD’s house to be built.’”
Luego la palabra del SEÑOR vino por la mano de Hageo el profeta, diciendo:

Then came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet, saying,

"¿Es tiempo para ustedes mismos vivir en sus casas terminadas, mientras esta casa permanece arruinada?
¿Es para vosotros tiempo, para vosotros, de morar en vuestras casas enmaderadas, y esta casa está desierta?
Is it time for you, O ye, to dwell in your cieled houses, and this house lie waste?
“Is it a time for you yourselves to dwell in your paneled houses, while this house lies waste?
Así que ahora el SEÑOR de los ejércitos dice esto: ¡Consideren sus caminos!
Pues así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos: Pensad bien sobre vuestros caminos.
Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.
Now therefore this is what the LORD of Armies says: ‘Consider your ways.
¡Ustedes han sembrado mucha semilla, pero traen poca cosecha; ustedes comen, pero no tienen suficiente; ustedes beben, pero no pueden emborracharse. Ustedes visten ropa, pero no pueden calentarse a ustedes mismos, y el asalariado gana dinero sólo para ponerlo en un bolso lleno de agujeros!
Sembráis mucho, y encerráis poco; coméis, y no os hartáis; bebéis, y no os saciáis; os vestís, y no os calentáis; y el que anda á jornal recibe su jornal en trapo horadado.
Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes.
You have sown much, and bring in little. You eat, but you don’t have enough. You drink, but you aren’t filled with drink. You clothe yourselves, but no one is warm; and he who earns wages earns wages to put them into a bag with holes in it.’
El SEÑOR de los ejércitos dice esto: "¡Consideren sus caminos!
Así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos: Meditad sobre vuestros caminos.
Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.
“This is what the LORD of Armies says: ‘Consider your ways.
¡Suban a la montaña, traigan madera y construyan mi casa; luego Me complaceré en ella, y Yo seré glorificado! -- dice el SEÑOR."
Subid al monte, y traed madera, y reedificad la casa; y pondré en ella mi voluntad, y seré honrado, ha dicho Jehová.
Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, saith the LORD.

"¡Ustedes buscan mucho, pero miren! ¡Ustedes han traído poco a la casa, y yo lo esparcí soplando! ¿Porqué?", declara Él SEÑOR de los ejércitos. "Porque mi casa permanece en ruinas, mientras cada uno de ustedes está trabajando en su propia casa.
Buscáis mucho, y halláis poco; y encerráis en casa, y soplo en ello. ¿Por qué? dice Jehová de los ejércitos. Por cuanto mi casa está desierta, y cada uno de vosotros corre á su propia casa.
Ye looked for much, and, lo, it came to little; and when ye brought it home, I did blow upon it. Why? saith the LORD of hosts. Because of mine house that is waste, and ye run every man unto his own house.
“You looked for much, and, behold, it came to little; and when you brought it home, I blew it away. Why?” says the LORD of Armies, “Because of my house that lies waste, while each of you is busy with his own house.
Por causa de ustedes es que los cielos retienen el rocío y la tierra retiene su producto.
Por eso se detuvo de los cielos sobre vosotros la lluvia, y la tierra detuvo sus frutos.
Therefore the heaven over you is stayed from dew, and the earth is stayed from her fruit.
Therefore for your sake the heavens withhold the dew, and the earth withholds its fruit.
¡Yo he invocado una sequía sobre la tierra y sobre las montañas, sobre el grano y sobre el vino nuevo, sobre el aceite y sobre la cosecha de la tierra, sobre los hombres y sobre las bestias, y sobre todo el trabajo de sus manos!
Y llamé la sequedad sobre esta tierra, y sobre los montes, y sobre el trigo, y sobre el vino, y sobre el aceite, y sobre todo lo que la tierra produce, y sobre los hombres y sobre las bestias, y sobre todo trabajo de manos.
And I called for a drought upon the land, and upon the mountains, and upon the corn, and upon the new wine, and upon the oil, and upon that which the ground bringeth forth, and upon men, and upon cattle, and upon all the labour of the hands.

Luego Zorobabel hijo de Salatiel, y el sacerdote principal, Josué hijo de Jehosadac, junto con todo el remanente del pueblo, obedecieron la voz del SEÑOR su Dios y las palabras de Hageo el profeta, porque el SEÑOR su Dios lo había enviado a él y el pueblo temía al rostro del SEÑOR.
Y oyó Zorobabel hijo de Sealtiel, y Josué hijo de Josadac, gran sacerdote, y todo el demás pueblo, la voz de Jehová su Dios, y las palabras del profeta Haggeo, como lo había enviado Jehová el Dios de ellos; y temió el pueblo delante de Jehová.
Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the LORD their God, and the words of Haggai the prophet, as the LORD their God had sent him, and the people did fear before the LORD.
Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel and Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the LORD their God’s voice, and the words of Haggai the prophet, as the LORD their God had sent him; and the people feared the LORD.
Luego Hageo, el mensajero del SEÑOR, llevó el mensaje al pueblo y dijo: "¡Yo estoy con ustedes! ¡Esta es la declaración de SEÑOR!"
Entonces Haggeo, enviado de Jehová, habló por mandado de Jehová, al pueblo, diciendo: Yo soy con vosotros, dice Jehová.
Then spake Haggai the LORD’s messenger in the LORD’s message unto the people, saying, I am with you, saith the LORD.
Then Haggai, the LORD’s messenger, spoke the LORD’s message to the people, saying, “I am with you,” says the LORD.
Así que, el SEÑOR despertó el espíritu del gobernador de Judá, Zorobabel hijo de Salatiel, y el espíritu del sacerdote principal Josué hijo de Jehosadac, y el espíritu de todo el remanente de las personas, para que ellos fueran y trabajaran en la casa de SEÑOR de los ejércitos, su Dios, en el día veinticuatro del sexto mes,
Y despertó Jehová el espíritu de Zorobabel hijo de Sealtiel, gobernador de Judá, y el espíritu de Josué hijo de Josadac, gran sacerdote, y el espíritu de todo el resto del pueblo; y vinieron é hicieron obra en la casa de Jehová de los ejércitos, su Dios,
And the LORD stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and did work in the house of the LORD of hosts, their God,
