1En la sixième année du règne de Darius, le sixième mois, le premier jour du mois, la parole du Seigneur vint à Aggée, le prophète, disant : Parle à Zorobabel, fils de Salathiel, de la tribu de Juda, et à Jésus, fils de Josédec, le grand prêtre, et dis :
2Voici ce que dit le Seigneur Tout-Puissant. Ils disent que le temps n'est pas venu de réédifier la maison du Seigneur.
3Or la parole du Seigneur est venue à Aggée, le prophète, disant :
4Le temps est-il venu pour vous de demeurer en vos maisons lambrissées en voûte, quand Notre temple est désert ?
5Et maintenant, voici ce que dit le Seigneur tout-puissant. Dirigez vos cœurs en vos voies.
6Vous avez semé beaucoup, et peu recueilli ; vous avez mangé, mais pas à satiété ; vous avez bu, mais point jusqu'à l'ivresse ; vous vous êtes vêtus, et vous n'avez pas été réchauffés ; et celui qui a thésaurisé ses salaires, les a déposés dans un sac troué.
7Or voici ce que dit le Seigneur tout-puissant. Dirigez vos cœurs en vos voies ;
8montez sur la montagne ; abattez des arbres, et réédifiez le temple ; et Je M'y complairai, et Je serai glorifié, dit le Seigneur.
9Vous avez convoité beaucoup, et peu vous est venu ; et ce peu vous l'avez emporté en vos maisons, et d'un souffle Je l'en ai fait sortir ; c'est pourquoi voici ce que dit le Seigneur tout-puissant : En punition de ce que Ma demeure est déserte, et que chacun de vous court à sa demeure,
10le ciel vous refusera sa rosée, et la terre vous retirera ses fruits.
11Et Je ferai passer un glaive sur la terre et sur les montagnes, sur le blé et sur le vin, sur l'huile et sur les fruits de la terre, sur les hommes, leur bétail et tous les travaux de leurs mains.
12Et Zorobabel, fils de Salathiel, de la tribu de Juda, et Jésus, fils de Josédec, le grand prêtre, et tout le reste du peuple entendirent la voix du Seigneur leur Dieu, et les paroles d'Aggée, le prophète, telles que par lui le Seigneur, leur Dieu, les leur avait envoyées. Et le peuple révéra la face du Seigneur.
13Et Aggée, le messager du Seigneur, rapporta au peuple le message du Seigneur, disant : Je suis avec vous, dit le Seigneur.
14Et le Seigneur suscita l'esprit de Zorobabel, fils de Salathiel, de la tribu de Juda, et l'esprit de Jésus, fils de Josédec, le grand prêtre, et l'esprit du reste du peuple ; et ils entrèrent dans le temple du Seigneur, leur Dieu tout-puissant, et ils y firent des travaux.

1EN el año segundo del rey Darío en el mes sexto, en el primer día del mes, fué palabra de Jehová, por mano del profeta Haggeo, á Zorobabel hijo de Sealtiel, gobernador de Judá, y á Josué hijo de Josadac, gran sacerdote, diciendo:
2Jehová de los ejércitos habla así, diciendo: Este pueblo dice: No es aún venido el tiempo, el tiempo de que la casa de Jehová sea reedificada.
3Fué pues palabra de Jehová por mano del profeta Haggeo, diciendo:
4¿Es para vosotros tiempo, para vosotros, de morar en vuestras casas enmaderadas, y esta casa está desierta?
5Pues así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos: Pensad bien sobre vuestros caminos.
6Sembráis mucho, y encerráis poco; coméis, y no os hartáis; bebéis, y no os saciáis; os vestís, y no os calentáis; y el que anda á jornal recibe su jornal en trapo horadado.
7Así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos: Meditad sobre vuestros caminos.
8Subid al monte, y traed madera, y reedificad la casa; y pondré en ella mi voluntad, y seré honrado, ha dicho Jehová.
9Buscáis mucho, y halláis poco; y encerráis en casa, y soplo en ello. ¿Por qué? dice Jehová de los ejércitos. Por cuanto mi casa está desierta, y cada uno de vosotros corre á su propia casa.
10Por eso se detuvo de los cielos sobre vosotros la lluvia, y la tierra detuvo sus frutos.
11Y llamé la sequedad sobre esta tierra, y sobre los montes, y sobre el trigo, y sobre el vino, y sobre el aceite, y sobre todo lo que la tierra produce, y sobre los hombres y sobre las bestias, y sobre todo trabajo de manos.
12Y oyó Zorobabel hijo de Sealtiel, y Josué hijo de Josadac, gran sacerdote, y todo el demás pueblo, la voz de Jehová su Dios, y las palabras del profeta Haggeo, como lo había enviado Jehová el Dios de ellos; y temió el pueblo delante de Jehová.
13Entonces Haggeo, enviado de Jehová, habló por mandado de Jehová, al pueblo, diciendo: Yo soy con vosotros, dice Jehová.
14Y despertó Jehová el espíritu de Zorobabel hijo de Sealtiel, gobernador de Judá, y el espíritu de Josué hijo de Josadac, gran sacerdote, y el espíritu de todo el resto del pueblo; y vinieron é hicieron obra en la casa de Jehová de los ejércitos, su Dios,

1In the second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, in the first day of the month, came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet unto Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, saying,
2Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, This people say, The time is not come, the time that the LORD’s house should be built.
3Then came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet, saying,
4Is it time for you, O ye, to dwell in your cieled houses, and this house lie waste?
5Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.
6Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes.
7Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.
8Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, saith the LORD.
9Ye looked for much, and, lo, it came to little; and when ye brought it home, I did blow upon it. Why? saith the LORD of hosts. Because of mine house that is waste, and ye run every man unto his own house.
10Therefore the heaven over you is stayed from dew, and the earth is stayed from her fruit.
11And I called for a drought upon the land, and upon the mountains, and upon the corn, and upon the new wine, and upon the oil, and upon that which the ground bringeth forth, and upon men, and upon cattle, and upon all the labour of the hands.
12Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the LORD their God, and the words of Haggai the prophet, as the LORD their God had sent him, and the people did fear before the LORD.
13Then spake Haggai the LORD’s messenger in the LORD’s message unto the people, saying, I am with you, saith the LORD.
14And the LORD stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and did work in the house of the LORD of hosts, their God,
15In the four and twentieth day of the sixth month, in the second year of Darius the king.

1In the second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, in the first day of the month, the LORD’s word came by Haggai the prophet, to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, saying,
2“This is what the LORD of Armies says: These people say, ‘The time hasn’t yet come, the time for the LORD’s house to be built.’”
3Then the LORD’s word came by Haggai the prophet, saying,
4“Is it a time for you yourselves to dwell in your paneled houses, while this house lies waste?
5Now therefore this is what the LORD of Armies says: ‘Consider your ways.
6You have sown much, and bring in little. You eat, but you don’t have enough. You drink, but you aren’t filled with drink. You clothe yourselves, but no one is warm; and he who earns wages earns wages to put them into a bag with holes in it.’
7“This is what the LORD of Armies says: ‘Consider your ways.
8Go up to the mountain, bring wood, and build the house. I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified,” says the LORD.
9“You looked for much, and, behold, it came to little; and when you brought it home, I blew it away. Why?” says the LORD of Armies, “Because of my house that lies waste, while each of you is busy with his own house.

11I called for a drought on the land, on the mountains, on the grain, on the new wine, on the oil, on that which the ground produces, on men, on livestock, and on all the labor of the hands.”
12Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel and Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the LORD their God’s voice, and the words of Haggai the prophet, as the LORD their God had sent him; and the people feared the LORD.
13Then Haggai, the LORD’s messenger, spoke the LORD’s message to the people, saying, “I am with you,” says the LORD.
14The LORD stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and worked on the house of the LORD of Armies, their God,
15in the twenty-fourth day of the month, in the sixth month, in the second year of Darius the king.
