Wehe dem treulosen Verächter, dem stolzen Mann, der nie genug hat, der seinen gierigen Schlund weit aufsperrt wie die Unterwelt und unersättlich ist wie der Tod, der zu sich sammelt alle Völker und um sich vereinigt alle Nationen!
Y también, por cuanto peca por el vino, es un hombre soberbio, y no permanecerá: que ensanchó como el infierno su alma, y es como la muerte, que no se hartará: antes reunió á sí todas las gentes, y amontonó á sí todos los pueblos.
Yea also, because he transgresseth by wine, he is a proud man, neither keepeth at home, who enlargeth his desire as hell, and is as death, and cannot be satisfied, but gathereth unto him all nations, and heapeth unto him all people:
Yes, moreover, wine is treacherous: an arrogant man who doesn’t stay at home, who enlarges his desire as Sheol; he is like death and can’t be satisfied, but gathers to himself all nations and heaps to himself all peoples.
Werden sie nicht alle einen Spruch über ihn anheben, im Hohngedicht auf ihn anspielen und sprechen: Wehe dem, der aufhäuft, was nicht sein ist - wie lange noch? - und schwere Schuldenlast sich auflädt!
¿No han de levantar todos estos sobre él parábola, y sarcasmos contra él? Y dirán: ¡Ay del que multiplicó lo que no era suyo! ¿Y hasta cuándo había de amontonar sobre sí espeso lodo?
Shall not all these take up a parable against him, and a taunting proverb against him, and say, Woe to him that increaseth that which is not his! how long? and to him that ladeth himself with thick clay!

Werden nicht plötzlich deine Gläubiger aufstehen und deine Peiniger erwachen, dass du ihnen zum Raube wirst?
¿No se levantarán de repente los que te han de morder, y se despertarán los que te han de quitar de tu lugar, y serás á ellos por rapiña?
Shall they not rise up suddenly that shall bite thee, and awake that shall vex thee, and thou shalt be for booties unto them?
Won’t your debtors rise up suddenly, and wake up those who make you tremble, and you will be their victim?
Weil du viele Völker ausgeraubt hast, werden die übrigen Völker alle dich ausrauben um der Blutschuld an den Menschen willen und wegen der Gewalttat an der Erde, an der Stadt und allen, die darin wohnen. (a) Jes 33:1
