I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved.

Da gibt der Herr mir dies zur Antwort, und er spricht: "Schreib das Gesicht dir auf und zeichne es in Tafeln ein, daß jeder es geläufig lesen kann!
Y Jehová me respondió, y dijo: Escribe la visión, y declárala en tablas, para que corra el que leyere en ella.

Denn noch geht das Gesicht auf die bestimmte Zeit und spricht vom Ende sonder Trug. Und wenn es zögern sollte, harre sein! Es kommt ja sicherlich und bleibt nicht aus.
Aunque la visión tardará aún por tiempo, mas al fin hablará, y no mentirá: aunque se tardare, espéralo, que sin duda vendrá; no tardará.

Wenn schon der Aufgeblasne seine Seele nicht glücklich macht, indessen der Gerechte leben bleibt durch seine Redlichkeit,
He aquí se enorgullece aquel cuya alma no es derecha en él: mas el justo en su fe vivirá.
Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.
Behold, his soul is puffed up. It is not upright in him, but the righteous will live by his faith.
dann um so minder der Gewaltmensch, dieser Räuber, der Mann voll Übermut, der Ungesittete, der gleich der Hölle seinen Mund aufreißt und wie der Tod so unersättlich ist, der diesem alle Heidenvölker überliefert und alle Nationen zu ihm bringt."
Y también, por cuanto peca por el vino, es un hombre soberbio, y no permanecerá: que ensanchó como el infierno su alma, y es como la muerte, que no se hartará: antes reunió á sí todas las gentes, y amontonó á sí todos los pueblos.
Yea also, because he transgresseth by wine, he is a proud man, neither keepeth at home, who enlargeth his desire as hell, and is as death, and cannot be satisfied, but gathereth unto him all nations, and heapeth unto him all people:
Yes, moreover, wine is treacherous: an arrogant man who doesn’t stay at home, who enlarges his desire as Sheol; he is like death and can’t be satisfied, but gathers to himself all nations and heaps to himself all peoples.
Stimmt da nicht alles über ihn ein Spottlied an und einen rätselhaften Spottgesang auf ihn? Man singt: "Ein Wehe dem, der aufgespeichert, was nicht sein, - wie lange noch? - und der das Pfand so schwer gemacht!"
¿No han de levantar todos estos sobre él parábola, y sarcasmos contra él? Y dirán: ¡Ay del que multiplicó lo que no era suyo! ¿Y hasta cuándo había de amontonar sobre sí espeso lodo?
Shall not all these take up a parable against him, and a taunting proverb against him, and say, Woe to him that increaseth that which is not his! how long? and to him that ladeth himself with thick clay!

Ja, stehen deine Gläubiger nicht plötzlich auf, erwachen deine Peiniger? Zur Beute fällst du ihnen zu.
¿No se levantarán de repente los que te han de morder, y se despertarán los que te han de quitar de tu lugar, y serás á ellos por rapiña?
Shall they not rise up suddenly that shall bite thee, and awake that shall vex thee, and thou shalt be for booties unto them?
Won’t your debtors rise up suddenly, and wake up those who make you tremble, and you will be their victim?
Weil viele Heidenvölker du ausgeplündert hast, so plündert dich der Völker ganzer Überrest für das vergossene Menschenblut und für die Grausamkeit an Stadt und Land und was darin.
Porque tú has despojado muchas gentes, todos los otros pueblos te despojarán; á causa de las sangres humanas, y robos de la tierra, de las ciudades y de todos los que moraban en ellas.
Because thou hast spoiled many nations, all the remnant of the people shall spoil thee; because of men’s blood, and for the violence of the land, of the city, and of all that dwell therein.
Because you have plundered many nations, all the remnant of the peoples will plunder you because of men’s blood, and for the violence done to the land, to the city and to all who dwell in it.
Weh dem, der schändlichen Gewinn in seinem Hause häuft, um seinen Sitz sich in der Höhe anzulegen und sich vor Unheilshand zu retten!
¡Ay del que codicia maligna codicia para su casa, por poner en alto su nido, por escaparse del poder del mal!
Woe to him that coveteth an evil covetousness to his house, that he may set his nest on high, that he may be delivered from the power of evil!

Du hast gar schmählich für dein Haus gesorgt, so vielen Völkern Untergang bereitet, und so versündigst du dich an dir selbst.
Tomaste consejo vergonzoso para tu casa, asolaste muchos pueblos, y has pecado contra tu vida.
Thou hast consulted shame to thy house by cutting off many people, and hast sinned against thy soul.

Denn jeder Stein schreit aus der Wand, und jeder Balken aus dem Holzwerk stimmt ihm bei:

Ist solches nicht verhängt vom Herrn der Heerscharen, daß sich fürs Feuer Völker mühen und für ein Nichts Nationen sich ermüden?
¿No es esto de Jehová de los ejércitos? Los pueblos pues trabajarán para el fuego, y las gentes se fatigarán en vano.
Behold, is it not of the LORD of hosts that the people shall labour in the very fire, and the people shall weary themselves for very vanity?
Behold, isn’t it from the LORD of Armies that the peoples labor for the fire, and the nations weary themselves for vanity?
Die Erde sollte von Einsicht in die Herrschergröße des Herrn erfüllt sein, wie den Meeresboden Wasser decken.

Woe unto him that giveth his neighbour drink, that puttest thy bottle to him, and makest him drunken also, that thou mayest look on their nakedness!
“Woe to him who gives his neighbor drink, pouring your inflaming wine until they are drunk, so that you may gaze at their naked bodies!
Du sättigst dich an Schmach mehr als an Ruhm. Trink selber nun und taumle hin! Zu dir kommt jetzt der Becher in der rechten Hand des Herrn, und deine Ehre wird bespieen.
Haste llenado de deshonra más que de honra: bebe tú también, y serás descubierto; el cáliz de la mano derecha de Jehová volverá sobre ti, y vómito de afrenta sobre tu gloria.
Thou art filled with shame for glory: drink thou also, and let thy foreskin be uncovered: the cup of the LORD’s right hand shall be turned unto thee, and shameful spewing shall be on thy glory.
You are filled with shame, and not glory. You will also drink and be exposed! The cup of the LORD’s right hand will come around to you, and disgrace will cover your glory.
Des Libanon Verwüstung lastet ja auf dir, und die Gewalttat an den Tieren wird für dich zum Schrecken wegen des vergossenen Menschenblutes und der Grausamkeit an Stadt und Land und allen, die dort wohnen.
Porque la rapiña del Líbano caerá sobre ti, y la destrucción de las fieras lo quebrantará; á causa de las sangres humanas, y del robo de la tierra, de las ciudades, y de todos los que en ellas moraban.
For the violence of Lebanon shall cover thee, and the spoil of beasts, which made them afraid, because of men’s blood, and for the violence of the land, of the city, and of all that dwell therein.
For the violence done to Lebanon will overwhelm you, and the destruction of the animals will terrify you, because of men’s blood and for the violence done to the land, to every city and to those who dwell in them.
Was nützt ein Schnitzbild, daß es sein Bildner schnitzte? Ein Gußbild, das nur Lüge lehrt, wenn sich des Künstlers Herz darauf verläßt, derweil er stumme Götzen macht?
¿De qué sirve la escultura que esculpió el que la hizo? ¿la estatua de fundición, que enseña mentira, para que haciendo imágenes mudas confíe el hacedor en su obra?
What profiteth the graven image that the maker thereof hath graven it; the molten image, and a teacher of lies, that the maker of his work trusteth therein, to make dumb idols?
“What value does the engraved image have, that its maker has engraved it; the molten image, even the teacher of lies, that he who fashions its form trusts in it, to make mute idols?
Weh dem, der zu dem Holze spricht: "Erwache!", "Wach auf!" zum stummen Stein, daß er Bescheid ihm gäbe! Gefaßt ist er in Gold und Silber nur; in seinem Innern aber ist kein Geist.
¡Ay del que dice al palo: Despiértate; y á la piedra muda: Levántate! ¿Podrá él enseñar? He aquí él está cubierto de oro y plata, y no hay dentro de él espíritu.
Woe unto him that saith to the wood, Awake; to the dumb stone, Arise, it shall teach! Behold, it is laid over with gold and silver, and there is no breath at all in the midst of it.

Dagegen vor dem Herrn in seinem heiligen Tempel, vor ihm sei still die ganze Welt!
Mas Jehová está en su santo templo: calle delante de él toda la tierra.
