Wie lange schon rufe ich, Herr, und du hörst nicht! schreie ich zu dir über Gewalt, und du kommst nicht zu Hilfe!
¿Hasta cuándo, oh Jehová, clamaré, y no oirás; y daré voces á ti á causa de la violencia, y no salvarás?
O LORD, how long shall I cry, and thou wilt not hear! even cry out unto thee of violence, and thou wilt not save!
LORD, how long will I cry, and you will not hear? I cry out to you “Violence!” and will you not save?
Warum lässest du mich Unrecht sehen und muss ich Unheil schauen? warum ist Bedrückung und Gewalttat vor meinen Augen und Streit und Hader?
¿Por qué me haces ver iniquidad, y haces que mire molestia, y saco y violencia delante de mí, habiendo además quien levante pleito y contienda?
Why dost thou shew me iniquity, and cause me to behold grievance? for spoiling and violence are before me: and there are that raise up strife and contention.
Why do you show me iniquity, and look at perversity? For destruction and violence are before me. There is strife, and contention rises up.
Darum erschlafft das Gesetz, und das Recht kommt nimmermehr auf; denn der Gottlose umringt den Gerechten, und das Recht wird verkehrt.
Por lo cual la ley es debilitada, y el juicio no sale verdadero: por cuanto el impío asedia al justo, por eso sale torcido el juicio.
Therefore the law is slacked, and judgment doth never go forth: for the wicked doth compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceedeth.
Therefore the law is paralyzed, and justice never prevails; for the wicked surround the righteous; therefore justice comes out perverted.
Seht hin unter die Völker und schaut, starret und staunt! Denn ich tue ein Werk in euren Tagen - ihr glaubtet es nicht, würde es erzählt.

Schrecklich und furchtbar ist es. Von ihm geht das Gericht aus.

Sie kommen alle, Gewalt zu üben, ihr Angesicht richtend wider den Osten, und sammeln Gefangene wie Sand.
Toda ella vendrá á la presa: delante de sus caras viento solano; y juntará cautivos como arena.
They shall come all for violence: their faces shall sup up as the east wind, and they shall gather the captivity as the sand.
All of them come for violence. Their hordes face forward. They gather prisoners like sand.
Sie spotten der Könige, und Fürsten sind ihnen ein Gelächter; sie lachen jeder Feste, schütten Erde auf und nehmen sie ein.
Y escarnecerá de los reyes, y de los príncipes hará burla: reiráse de toda fortaleza, y amontonará polvo, y la tomará.
And they shall scoff at the kings, and the princes shall be a scorn unto them: they shall deride every strong hold; for they shall heap dust, and take it.
Yes, they scoff at kings, and princes are a derision to them. They laugh at every stronghold, for they build up an earthen ramp and take it.
Dann wirbeln sie dahin wie der Wind und ziehen weiter und machen ihre Kraft zu ihrem Gott.
Luego mudará espíritu, y pasará adelante, y ofenderá atribuyendo esta su potencia á su dios.
Then shall his mind change, and he shall pass over, and offend, imputing this his power unto his god.
Then they sweep by like the wind and go on. They are indeed guilty, whose strength is their god.”

Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity: wherefore lookest thou upon them that deal treacherously, and holdest thy tongue when the wicked devoureth the man that is more righteous than he?
You who have purer eyes than to see evil, and who cannot look on perversity, why do you tolerate those who deal treacherously and keep silent when the wicked swallows up the man who is more righteous than he,
wenn er den Menschen tut wie den Fischen im Meer, wie dem Gewürm, das keinen Herrscher hat?
Y haces que sean los hombres como los peces de la mar, como reptiles que no tienen señor?
And makest men as the fishes of the sea, as the creeping things, that have no ruler over them?

Alles holt er mit der Angel herauf, schleppt es mit seinem Netz und sammelt es in seinem Garn; darob freut er sich und frohlockt.
Sacará á todos con anzuelo, cogerálos con su red, y juntarálos en su aljerife: por lo cual se holgará y hará alegrías.

¿Vaciará por eso su red, ó tendrá piedad de matar gentes continuamente?
Shall they therefore empty their net, and not spare continually to slay the nations?
Will he therefore continually empty his net, and kill the nations without mercy?
