The burden which Habakkuk the prophet did see.
The revelation which Habakkuk the prophet saw.
"SEÑOR, ¿he llorado por Tú ayuda por mucho tiempo, y tú actuas como si no me escucharás? He gritado con horror, "¡Violencia!" pero tú no me salvas.
¿Hasta cuándo, oh Jehová, clamaré, y no oirás; y daré voces á ti á causa de la violencia, y no salvarás?
O LORD, how long shall I cry, and thou wilt not hear! even cry out unto thee of violence, and thou wilt not save!
LORD, how long will I cry, and you will not hear? I cry out to you “Violence!” and will you not save?
¿Por qué me haces ver la iniquidad y ver malas acciones? La destrucción y la violencia están delante de mí; hay lucha, y peleas en todas partes.
¿Por qué me haces ver iniquidad, y haces que mire molestia, y saco y violencia delante de mí, habiendo además quien levante pleito y contienda?
Why dost thou shew me iniquity, and cause me to behold grievance? for spoiling and violence are before me: and there are that raise up strife and contention.
Why do you show me iniquity, and look at perversity? For destruction and violence are before me. There is strife, and contention rises up.
Por lo tanto, la ley se debilita, y la justicia no dura por mucho tiempo. Pues los malos rodean a los justos; por lo tanto, la falsa justicia sale." EL SEÑOR le responde a Habacuc:
Por lo cual la ley es debilitada, y el juicio no sale verdadero: por cuanto el impío asedia al justo, por eso sale torcido el juicio.
Therefore the law is slacked, and judgment doth never go forth: for the wicked doth compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceedeth.
Therefore the law is paralyzed, and justice never prevails; for the wicked surround the righteous; therefore justice comes out perverted.
"Mira a las naciones y examínalas; ¡Quedate maravillado y asombrado! Pues ciertamente haré algo en tús días que tú no creerás cuando se te informe.
Mirad en las gentes, y ved, y maravillaos pasmosamente; porque obra será hecha en vuestros días, que aun cuando se os contare, no la creeréis.
Behold ye among the heathen, and regard, and wonder marvellously: for I will work a work in your days, which ye will not believe, though it be told you.
“Look among the nations, watch, and wonder marvelously; for I am working a work in your days which you will not believe though it is told you.
¡Pues mira! Estoy por levantar a los Caldeos, esa nación feroz e impetuosa. Ellos marchan por todo lo ancho de la tierra para apoderarse de las casas que no son de ellos.
Porque he aquí, yo levanto los Caldeos, gente amarga y presurosa, que camina por la anchura de la tierra para poseer las habitaciones ajenas.
For, lo, I raise up the Chaldeans, that bitter and hasty nation, which shall march through the breadth of the land, to possess the dwellingplaces that are not theirs.
For, behold, I am raising up the Chaldeans, that bitter and hasty nation who march through the width of the earth, to possess dwelling places that are not theirs.
Son terribles y espantosos; su juicio y esplendor salen de ellos mismos.
Espantosa es y terrible: de ella misma saldrá su derecho y su grandeza.
They are terrible and dreadful: their judgment and their dignity shall proceed of themselves.
They are feared and dreaded. Their judgment and their dignity proceed from themselves.
Sus caballos también son más veloces que los leopardos, más rápidos que los lobos nocturnos. De manera que sus caballos galopean y sus jinetes vienen de una gran distancia, vuelan como un águila avanzando para comer.
Y serán sus caballos más ligeros que tigres, y más agudos que lobos de tarde; y sus jinetes se multiplicarán: vendrán de lejos sus caballeros, y volarán como águilas que se apresuran á la comida.
Their horses also are swifter than the leopards, and are more fierce than the evening wolves: and their horsemen shall spread themselves, and their horsemen shall come from far; they shall fly as the eagle that hasteth to eat.
Their horses also are swifter than leopards, and are more fierce than the evening wolves. Their horsemen press proudly on. Yes, their horsemen come from afar. They fly as an eagle that hurries to devour.
Todos ellos vienen por violencia; sus multitudes se van como el viento del desierto, y se reúnen cautivos como arena.
Toda ella vendrá á la presa: delante de sus caras viento solano; y juntará cautivos como arena.
They shall come all for violence: their faces shall sup up as the east wind, and they shall gather the captivity as the sand.
All of them come for violence. Their hordes face forward. They gather prisoners like sand.
Así que se burlan de los reyes, y los gobernantes son sólo una burla para ellos. Se ríen de cada fortaleza, pues amontonan tierra y se la llevan.
Y escarnecerá de los reyes, y de los príncipes hará burla: reiráse de toda fortaleza, y amontonará polvo, y la tomará.
And they shall scoff at the kings, and the princes shall be a scorn unto them: they shall deride every strong hold; for they shall heap dust, and take it.
Yes, they scoff at kings, and princes are a derision to them. They laugh at every stronghold, for they build up an earthen ramp and take it.
Entonces el viento soplará con prisa; este destruirá. Son hombres culpables y su fuerza es su dios." Habacuc le hace otra pregunta al SEÑOR:
Luego mudará espíritu, y pasará adelante, y ofenderá atribuyendo esta su potencia á su dios.
Then shall his mind change, and he shall pass over, and offend, imputing this his power unto his god.
Then they sweep by like the wind and go on. They are indeed guilty, whose strength is their god.”
¿No eres tú de los tiempos antiguos, SEÑOR mi Dios, Mi Santo? Nosotros no moriremos. El SEÑOR ha ordenado juicio para ellos, y tu, ROCA, tú los has puesto para correción de ellos.
¿No eres tú desde el principio, oh Jehová, Dios mío, Santo mío? No moriremos. Oh Jehová, para juicio lo pusiste; y tú, oh Roca, lo fundaste para castigar.
Art thou not from everlasting, O LORD my God, mine Holy One? we shall not die. O LORD, thou hast ordained them for judgment; and, O mighty God, thou hast established them for correction.
Aren’t you from everlasting, LORD my God, my Holy One? We will not die. LORD, you have appointed them for judgment. You, Rock, have established him to punish.
Tus ojos son demasiado puros para mirar al mal, y no puedes mirar la maldad con favor; ¿por qué entonces has mirado favorablemente a esos quienes traicionan? ¿Por qué guardas silencio mientras los malvados destruyen a los que son más justos que ellos?
Muy limpio eres de ojos para ver el mal, ni puedes ver el agravio: ¿por qué ves los menospreciadores, y callas cuando destruye el impío al más justo que él,
Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity: wherefore lookest thou upon them that deal treacherously, and holdest thy tongue when the wicked devoureth the man that is more righteous than he?
You who have purer eyes than to see evil, and who cannot look on perversity, why do you tolerate those who deal treacherously and keep silent when the wicked swallows up the man who is more righteous than he,
Tú creas a los hombres como peces en el mar, como cosas que se arrastran sin alguien que los gobierne a ellos.
Y haces que sean los hombres como los peces de la mar, como reptiles que no tienen señor?
And makest men as the fishes of the sea, as the creeping things, that have no ruler over them?
and make men like the fish of the sea, like the creeping things that have no ruler over them?
Ellos los sacan a todos con anzuelos; arrastran a los hombres y los recogen en su red. Esto es el porque ellos se regocijan y gritan con entusiasmo.
Sacará á todos con anzuelo, cogerálos con su red, y juntarálos en su aljerife: por lo cual se holgará y hará alegrías.
They take up all of them with the angle, they catch them in their net, and gather them in their drag: therefore they rejoice and are glad.
He takes up all of them with the hook. He catches them in his net and gathers them in his dragnet. Therefore he rejoices and is glad.
Es por esto que hacen sacrificio a sus redes de pescar y queman incienso a su malla, pues las bestias gordas son su porción y las carnes grasientas son su alimento.
Por esto hará sacrificios á su red, y ofrecerá sahumerios á su aljerife: porque con ellos engordó su porción, y engrasó su comida.
Therefore they sacrifice unto their net, and burn incense unto their drag; because by them their portion is fat, and their meat plenteous.
Therefore he sacrifices to his net and burns incense to his dragnet, because by them his life is luxurious and his food is good.
¿Irán ellos entonces a vaciar sus redes y continuar la masacre de las naciones, no sintiendo compasión?
¿Vaciará por eso su red, ó tendrá piedad de matar gentes continuamente?
Shall they therefore empty their net, and not spare continually to slay the nations?
Will he therefore continually empty his net, and kill the nations without mercy?
