Da schlossen sich (wurden verschlossen) die Quellen des Weltozeans und die Luken des Himmels, und der Regen aus dem Himmel wurde zurückgehalten.

Y se cerraron las fuentes del abismo, y las cataratas de los cielos; y la lluvia de los cielos fué detenida.

The fountains also of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained;

The deep’s fountains and the sky’s windows were also stopped, and the rain from the sky was restrained.
