1Als nun die Menschen sich auf der Oberfläche des Erdbodens zu vermehren begannen und ihnen auch Töchter geboren wurden
2und die Gottessöhne die Schönheit der Menschentöchter sahen, nahmen sie sich von ihnen diejenigen zu Frauen, die ihnen besonders gefielen.
3Da sagte der HERR: »Mein Geist soll nicht für immer im Menschen erniedrigt sein, weil er ja Fleisch ist; so sollen denn seine Tage (fortan) nur noch hundertundzwanzig Jahre betragen!«
4Zu jener Zeit waren die Riesen auf der Erde und auch später noch, solange die Gottessöhne mit den Menschentöchtern verkehrten und diese ihnen (Kinder) gebaren. Das sind die Helden, die in der Urzeit lebten, die hochberühmten Männer.
5Als nun der HERR sah, daß die Bosheit der Menschen groß war auf der Erde und alles Sinnen und Trachten ihres Herzens immerfort nur böse war,
6da gereute es ihn, die Menschen auf der Erde geschaffen zu haben, und er wurde in seinem Herzen tief betrübt.
7Darum sagte der HERR: »Ich will die Menschen, die ich geschaffen habe, vom ganzen Erdboden weg vertilgen, die Menschen wie das Vieh, das Gewürm wie die Vögel des Himmels; denn ich bereue es, sie geschaffen zu haben.«
8Noah aber hatte Gnade beim HERRN gefunden.
9Dies ist die Geschichte Noahs: Noah war ein frommer, unsträflicher Mann unter seinen Zeitgenossen: mit Gott wandelte Noah.
10Er hatte drei Söhne: Sem, Ham und Japheth.
11Die Erde wurde aber immer verderbter vor Gott und war voll von Gewalttaten.
12Als nun Gott die Erde ansah und die völlige Verderbtheit wahrnahm – denn alles Fleisch hatte sich in ihrem ganzen Tun auf Erden zum Bösen gewandt –,
13da sagte Gott zu Noah: »Das Ende aller lebenden Geschöpfe ist bei mir beschlossen; denn die Erde ist durch ihre Schuld voll von Gewalttaten; darum will ich sie mitsamt der Erde verderben.
14Baue dir eine Arche aus Tannenholz; mit lauter Zellen sollst du die Arche versehen und sie von innen und von außen mit Erdharz verpichen.
15Und so sollst du sie bauen: dreihundert Ellen soll die Länge der Arche betragen, fünfzig Ellen ihre Breite und dreißig Ellen ihre Höhe.
16Eine Lichtöffnung sollst du an der Arche anbringen, und zwar eine Elle hoch sollst du sie ganz herum hoch oben herstellen, und den Eingang zur Arche an ihrer Seite anbringen und ein unteres, ein mittleres und ein oberes Stockwerk in ihr anlegen.
17Denn wisse wohl: ich will die große Flut über die Erde kommen lassen, um alle Geschöpfe, die Lebensodem in sich haben, unter dem ganzen Himmel zu vertilgen: alles, was auf der Erde lebt, soll umkommen!
18Mit dir aber will ich einen Bund schließen: du sollst in die Arche gehen, du und mit dir deine Söhne und dein Weib und die Weiber deiner Söhne.
19Und von allen lebenden Wesen, von allen Tieren, sollst du je ein Paar in die Arche mit hineinnehmen, um sie mit dir am Leben zu erhalten: je ein Männliches und ein Weibliches sollen es sein.
20Von jeder Art der Vögel und von jeder Art der Vierfüßler, von jeder Art der Kriechtiere des Erdbodens – von diesen allen soll immer ein Paar zu dir in die Arche hineinkommen, damit sie am Leben erhalten bleiben.
21Du selbst aber nimm dir alle Arten von Nahrungsmitteln, die als Speise genossen werden, und sammle bei dir Vorräte davon, damit sie dir und ihnen zur Nahrung dienen.«
22Und Noah tat es; er machte alles genau so, wie Gott es ihm geboten hatte.

1Y ACAECIÓ que, cuando comenzaron los hombres á multiplicarse sobre la faz de la tierra, y les nacieron hijas,
2Viendo los hijos de Dios que las hijas de los hombres eran hermosas, tomáronse mujeres, escogiendo entre todas.
3Y dijo Jehová: No contenderá mi espíritu con el hombre para siempre, porque ciertamente él es carne: mas serán sus días ciento y veinte años.
4Había gigantes en la tierra en aquellos días, y también después que entraron los hijos de Dios á las hijas de los hombres, y les engendraron hijos: éstos fueron los valientes que desde la antigüedad fueron varones de nombre.
5Y vió Jehová que la malicia de los hombres era mucha en la tierra, y que todo designio de los pensamientos del corazón de ellos era de continuo solamente el mal.
6Y arrepintióse Jehová de haber hecho hombre en la tierra, y pesóle en su corazón.
7Y dijo Jehová: Raeré los hombres que he criado de sobre la faz de la tierra, desde el hombre hasta la bestia, y hasta el reptil y las aves del cielo: porque me arrepiento de haberlos hecho.
8Empero Noé halló gracia en los ojos de Jehová.
9Estas son las generaciones de Noé: Noé, varón justo, perfecto fué en sus generaciones; con Dios caminó Noé.
10Y engendró Noé tres hijos: á Sem, á Châm, y á Japhet.
11Y corrompióse la tierra delante de Dios, y estaba la tierra llena de violencia.
12Y miró Dios la tierra, y he aquí que estaba corrompida; porque toda carne había corrompido su camino sobre la tierra.
13Y dijo Dios á Noé: El fin de toda carne ha venido delante de mí; porque la tierra está llena de violencia á causa de ellos; y he aquí que yo los destruiré con la tierra.
14Hazte un arca de madera de Gopher: harás aposentos en el arca, y la embetunarás con brea por dentro y por fuera.
15Y de esta manera la harás: de trescientos codos la longitud del arca, de cincuenta codos su anchura, y de treinta codos su altura.
16Una ventana harás al arca, y la acabarás á un codo de elevación por la parte de arriba: y pondrás la puerta del arca á su lado; y le harás piso bajo, segundo y tercero.
17Y yo, he aquí que yo traigo un diluvio de aguas sobre la tierra, para destruir toda carne en que haya espíritu de vida debajo del cielo; todo lo que hay en la tierra morirá.
18Mas estableceré mi pacto contigo, y entrarás en el arca tú, y tus hijos y tu mujer, y las mujeres de tus hijos contigo.
19Y de todo lo que vive, de toda carne, dos de cada especie meterás en el arca, para que tengan vida contigo; macho y hembra serán.
20De las aves según su especie, y de las bestias según su especie, de todo reptil de la tierra según su especie, dos de cada especie entrarán contigo para que hayan vida.
21Y toma contigo de toda vianda que se come, y allégala á ti; servirá de alimento para ti y para ellos.
22E hízolo así Noé; hizo conforme á todo lo que Dios le mandó.

1And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
2That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
3And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.
4There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.
5And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
6And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
7And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.
8But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.
9These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.
10And Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
11The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.
12And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.
13And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.
14Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.
15And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.
16A window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it.
17And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.
18But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons’ wives with thee.
19And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female.
20Of fowls after their kind, and of cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the earth after his kind, two of every sort shall come unto thee, to keep them alive.
21And take thou unto thee of all food that is eaten, and thou shalt gather it to thee; and it shall be for food for thee, and for them.
22Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.

1When men began to multiply on the surface of the ground, and daughters were born to them,
2God’s sons saw that men’s daughters were beautiful, and they took any that they wanted for themselves as wives.
3The LORD said, “My Spirit will not strive with man forever, because he also is flesh; so his days will be one hundred twenty years.”
4The Nephilim were in the earth in those days, and also after that, when God’s sons came in to men’s daughters and had children with them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.
5The LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of man’s heart was continually only evil.
6The LORD was sorry that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him in his heart.
7The LORD said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the surface of the ground—man, along with animals, creeping things, and birds of the sky—for I am sorry that I have made them.”
8But Noah found favor in the LORD’s eyes.
9This is the history of the generations of Noah: Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time. Noah walked with God.
10Noah became the father of three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
11The earth was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.
12God saw the earth, and saw that it was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth.
13God said to Noah, “I will bring an end to all flesh, for the earth is filled with violence through them. Behold, I will destroy them and the earth.
14Make a ship of gopher wood. You shall make rooms in the ship, and shall seal it inside and outside with pitch.
15This is how you shall make it. The length of the ship shall be three hundred cubits, its width fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits.
16You shall make a roof in the ship, and you shall finish it to a cubit upward. You shall set the door of the ship in its side. You shall make it with lower, second, and third levels.
17I, even I, will bring the flood of waters on this earth, to destroy all flesh having the breath of life from under the sky. Everything that is in the earth will die.
18But I will establish my covenant with you. You shall come into the ship, you, your sons, your wife, and your sons’ wives with you.
19Of every living thing of all flesh, you shall bring two of every sort into the ship, to keep them alive with you. They shall be male and female.
20Of the birds after their kind, of the livestock after their kind, of every creeping thing of the ground after its kind, two of every sort will come to you, to keep them alive.
21Take with you some of all food that is eaten, and gather it to yourself; and it will be for food for you, and for them.”
22Thus Noah did. He did all that God commanded him.
