1C’est ici le dénombrement de la postérité d’Adam, depuis le jour que Dieu créa l’homme, lequel il fit à sa ressemblance.

2Il les créa mâle et femelle, et les bénit, et il leur donna le nom d’homme, le jour qu’ils furent créés.

3Et Adam vécut cent trente ans, et engendra un fils à sa ressemblance, selon son image, et le nomma Seth.

4Et les jours d’Adam, après qu’il eut engendré Seth, furent huit cents ans, et il engendra des fils et des filles.

5Tout le temps donc qu’Adam vécut, fut neuf cent trente ans ; puis il mourut.

6Seth aussi vécut cent cinq ans, et engendra Enos.

7Et Seth, après qu’il eut engendré Enos, vécut huit cent sept ans ; et il engendra des fils et des filles.

8Tout le temps donc que Seth vécut, fut neuf cent douze ans ; puis il mourut.

9Et Enos, ayant vécu quatre-vingt-dix ans, engendra Kénan.

10Et Enos, après qu’il eut engendré Kénan, vécut huit cent quinze ans, et il engendra des fils et des filles.

11Tout le temps donc qu’Enos vécut, fut neuf cent cinq ans ; puis il mourut.

12Et Kénan ayant vécu soixante-dix ans, engendra Mahalaléel.

13Et Kénan, après qu’il eut engendré Mahalaléel, vécut huit cent quarante ans ; et il engendra des fils et des filles.

14Tout le temps donc que Kénan vécut, fut neuf cent dix ans ; puis il mourut.

15Et Mahalaléel vécut soixante-cinq ans ; et il engendra Jéred.

16Et Mahalaléel, après qu’il eut engendré Jéred, vécut huit cent trente ans, et il engendra des fils et des filles.

17Tout le temps donc que Mahalaléel vécut, fut huit cent quatre- vingt quinze ans ; puis il mourut.

18Et Jéred ayant vécu cent soixante-deux ans, engendra Hénoc.

19Et Jéred, après avoir engendré Hénoc, vécut huit cents ans, et il engendra des fils et des filles.

20Tout le temps donc que Jéred vécut, fut neuf cent soixante-deux ans ; puis il mourut.

21Et Hénoc vécut soixante-cinq ans, et engendra Méthuséla.

22Et Hénoc, après qu’il eut engendré Méthuséla, marcha avec Dieu trois cents ans ; et il engendra des fils et des filles.

23Tout le temps donc qu’Hénoc vécut, fut trois cent soixante-cinq ans.

24Hénoc marcha avec Dieu ; mais il ne parut plus, parce que Dieu le prit.

25Et Méthuséla ayant vécu cent quatre-vingt sept ans, engendra Lémec.

26Et Méthuséla, après qu’il eut engendré Lémec, vécut sept cent quatre-vingt-deux ans ; et il engendra des fils et des filles.

27Tout le temps donc que Méthuséla vécut, fut neuf cent soixante- neuf ans ; puis il mourut.

28Lémec aussi vécut cent quatre-vingt deux ans, et il engendra un fils.

29Et il le nomma Noé, en disant : Celui-ci nous soulagera de notre oeuvre, et du travail de nos mains, sur la terre que l’Eternel a maudite.

30Et Lémec, après qu’il eut engendré Noé, vécut cinq cent quatre- vingt quinze ans ; et il engendra des fils et des filles.

31Tout le temps donc que Lémec vécut, fut sept cent soixante dix- sept ans ; puis il mourut.

32Et Noé, âgé de cinq cents ans, engendra Sem, Cam, et Japheth.

1ESTE es el libro de las generaciones de Adam. El día en que crió Dios al hombre, á la semejanza de Dios lo hizo;

2Varón y hembra los crió; y los bendijo, y llamó el nombre de ellos Adam, el día en que fueron criados.

3Y vivió Adam ciento y treinta años, y engendró un hijo á su semejanza, conforme á su imagen, y llamó su nombre Seth.

4Y fueron los días de Adam, después que engendró á Seth, ochocientos años: y engendró hijos é hijas.

5Y fueron todos los días que vivió Adam novecientos y treinta años, y murió.

18Y vivió Jared ciento sesenta y dos años, y engendró á Henoch.

21Y vivió Henoch sesenta y cinco años, y engendró á Mathusalam.

22Y caminó Henoch con Dios, después que engendró á Mathusalam, trescientos años: y engendró hijos é hijas.

23Y fueron todos los días de Henoch trescientos sesenta y cinco años.

24Caminó, pues, Henoch con Dios, y desapareció, porque le llevó Dios.

25Y vivió Mathusalam ciento ochenta y siete años, y engendró á Lamech.

26Y vivió Mathusalam, después que engendró á Lamech, setecientos ochenta y dos años: y engendró hijos é hijas.

27Fueron, pues, todos los días de Mathusalam, novecientos sesenta y nueve años; y murió.

28Y vivió Lamech ciento ochenta y dos años, y engendró un hijo:

29Y llamó su nombre Noé, diciendo: Este nos aliviará de nuestras obras, y del trabajo de nuestras manos, á causa de la tierra que Jehová maldijo.

30Y vivió Lamech, después que engendró á Noé, quinientos noventa y cinco años: y engendró hijos é hijas.

31Y fueron todos los días de Lamech setecientos setenta y siete años; y murió.

32Y siendo Noé de quinientos años, engendró á Sem, Châm, y á Japhet.

1This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him;

2Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.

3And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth:

4And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters:

5And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died.

6And Seth lived an hundred and five years, and begat Enos:

7And Seth lived after he begat Enos eight hundred and seven years, and begat sons and daughters:

25And Methuselah lived an hundred eighty and seven years, and begat Lamech:

26And Methuselah lived after he begat Lamech seven hundred eighty and two years, and begat sons and daughters:

27And all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred sixty and nine years: and he died.

28And Lamech lived an hundred eighty and two years, and begat a son:

29And he called his name Noah, saying, This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the LORD hath cursed.

30And Lamech lived after he begat Noah five hundred ninety and five years, and begat sons and daughters:

31And all the days of Lamech were seven hundred seventy and seven years: and he died.

32And Noah was five hundred years old: and Noah begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

18Jared lived one hundred sixty-two years, then became the father of Enoch.

21Enoch lived sixty-five years, then became the father of Methuselah.

22After Methuselah’s birth, Enoch walked with God for three hundred years, and became the father of more sons and daughters.

23All the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty-five years.

24Enoch walked with God, and he was not found, for God took him.

25Methuselah lived one hundred eighty-seven years, then became the father of Lamech.

26Methuselah lived after he became the father of Lamech seven hundred eighty-two years, and became the father of other sons and daughters.

27All the days of Methuselah were nine hundred sixty-nine years, then he died.

28Lamech lived one hundred eighty-two years, then became the father of a son.

29He named him Noah, saying, “This one will comfort us in our work and in the toil of our hands, caused by the ground which the LORD has cursed.”

30Lamech lived after he became the father of Noah five hundred ninety-five years, and became the father of other sons and daughters.

31All the days of Lamech were seven hundred seventy-seven years, then he died.

32Noah was five hundred years old, then Noah became the father of Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
