Et Joseph se jeta sur le visage de son père et pleura sur lui et l'embrassa.

ENTONCES se echó José sobre el rostro de su padre, y lloró sobre él, y besólo.

Y cumpliéronle cuarenta días, porque así cumplían los días de los embalsamados, y lloráronlo los Egipcios setenta días.

And forty days were fulfilled for him; for so are fulfilled the days of those which are embalmed: and the Egyptians mourned for him threescore and ten days.

Forty days were used for him, for that is how many days it takes to embalm. The Egyptians wept for Israel for seventy days.

Quand les jours de son deuil furent passés, Joseph parla aux gens de la maison de Pharaon en disant : Si j'ai trouvé grâce à vos yeux, faites entendre, je vous prie, à Pharaon ces paroles :

Y pasados los días de su luto, habló José á los de la casa de Faraón, diciendo: Si he hallado ahora gracia en vuestros ojos, os ruego que habléis en oídos de Faraón, diciendo:

And when the days of his mourning were past, Joseph spake unto the house of Pharaoh, saying, If now I have found grace in your eyes, speak, I pray you, in the ears of Pharaoh, saying,

Mon père m'a fait jurer en disant :Voici je vais mourir ; tu m'enterreras dans mon sépulcre, que je me suis creusé au pays de Canaan. Maintenant donc, que j'y monte, je te prie, et que j'enterre là mon père, et je reviendrai.

Mi padre me conjuró diciendo: He aquí yo muero; en mi sepulcro que yo cavé para mí en la tierra de Canaán, allí me sepultarás; ruego pues que vaya yo ahora, y sepultaré á mi padre, y volveré.

My father made me swear, saying, Lo, I die: in my grave which I have digged for me in the land of Canaan, there shalt thou bury me. Now therefore let me go up, I pray thee, and bury my father, and I will come again.

‘My father made me swear, saying, “Behold, I am dying. Bury me in my grave which I have dug for myself in the land of Canaan.” Now therefore, please let me go up and bury my father, and I will come again.’”

Et Pharaon répondit : Monte et enterre ton père, comme il te l'a fait jurer.

Les Cananéens, habitants du pays, voyant ce deuil dans l'aire d'Atad, dirent : Voilà un grand deuil chez les Egyptiens. C'est pourquoi on a nommé cet endroit Abel-Mitsraïm ; il est au-delà du Jourdain.

Pues lleváronlo sus hijos á la tierra de Canaán, y le sepultaron en la cueva del campo de Macpela, la que había comprado Abraham con el mismo campo, para heredad de sepultura, de Ephrón el Hetheo, delante de Mamre.

Vous parlerez ainsi à Joseph : Oh ! veuille pardonner, je te prie, le crime de tes frères et leur péché ; car ils t'ont fait du mal ; mais maintenant, pardonne, je te prie, le crime des serviteurs du Dieu de ton père. Et Joseph pleura quand ils lui parlèrent ainsi.

Así diréis á José: Ruégote que perdones ahora la maldad de tus hermanos y su pecado, porque mal te trataron: por tanto ahora te rogamos que perdones la maldad de los siervos del Dios de tu padre. Y José lloró mientras hablaban.

So shall ye say unto Joseph, Forgive, I pray thee now, the trespass of thy brethren, and their sin; for they did unto thee evil: and now, we pray thee, forgive the trespass of the servants of the God of thy father. And Joseph wept when they spake unto him.

‘You shall tell Joseph, “Now please forgive the disobedience of your brothers, and their sin, because they did evil to you.”’ Now, please forgive the disobedience of the servants of the God of your father.” Joseph wept when they spoke to him.

Et ses frères vinrent eux-mêmes et se jetèrent à ses pieds, et dirent : Voici, nous sommes tes serviteurs.

Ce que vous avez pensé en mal contre moi, Dieu l'a pensé en bien, afin de faire ce qui arrive aujourd'hui, de conserver la vie à un peuple nombreux.

Vosotros pensasteis mal sobre mí, mas Dios lo encaminó á bien, para hacer lo que vemos hoy, para mantener en vida á mucho pueblo.

But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.

As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to save many people alive, as is happening today.

Et maintenant, soyez sans crainte : je vous entretiendrai, vous et vos enfants. Et il les consola et parla à leur cœur.

Ahora, pues, no tengáis miedo; yo os sustentaré á vosotros y á vuestros hijos. Así los consoló, y les habló al corazón.

Joseph demeura en Egypte, lui et la maison de son père, et Joseph vécut cent dix ans.

Et Joseph dit à ses frères : Pour moi, je vais mourir ; mais Dieu vous visitera certainement et vous fera remonter de ce pays au pays qu'il a promis par serment à Abraham, à Isaac et à Jacob.

Y José dijo á sus hermanos: Yo me muero; mas Dios ciertamente os visitará, y os hará subir de aquesta tierra á la tierra que juró á Abraham, á Isaac, y á Jacob.

And Joseph said unto his brethren, I die: and God will surely visit you, and bring you out of this land unto the land which he sware to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.
