11Die Bewohner des Landes aber, die Kanaaniter, sahen die Totenfeier zu Goren Haatad und sprachen: "Da findet eine große Totenfeier der Ägypter statt." Deshalb nannte man seinen Namen Abel Misraim; es liegt jenseits des Jordan.

11And when the inhabitants of the land, the Canaanites, saw the mourning in the floor of Atad, they said, This is a grievous mourning to the Egyptians: wherefore the name of it was called Abel-mizraim, which is beyond Jordan.
