Adam connut de nouveau sa femme; elle enfanta un fils, et lui donna pour nom Seth: "Parce que Dieu m'a accordé une nouvelle postérité au lieu d'Abel, Caïn l'ayant tué."

Y conoció de nuevo Adam á su mujer, la cual parió un hijo, y llamó su nombre Seth: Porque Dios (dijo ella) me ha sustituído otra simiente en lugar de Abel, á quien mató Caín.

And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew.
