Rubén, primogénito mío, tú, la fortaleza mía, y el principio de mi dolor, debías ser el más favorecido en los dones y el más grande en autoridad,
Rubén, tú eres mi primogénito, mi fortaleza, y el principio de mi vigor; principal en dignidad, principal en poder.
Reuben, thou art my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength, the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power:
“Reuben, you are my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength, excelling in dignity, and excelling in power.
pero te derramaste como agua; porque subiste al lecho de tu padre y profanaste su tálamo.
Corriente como las aguas, no seas el principal; por cuanto subiste al lecho de tu padre: entonces te envileciste, subiendo á mi estrado.
Unstable as water, thou shalt not excel; because thou wentest up to thy father’s bed; then defiledst thou it: he went up to my couch.
Boiling over like water, you shall not excel, because you went up to your father’s bed, then defiled it. He went up to my couch.
Simeón y Leví, hermanos en el crimen, instrumentos belicosos de iniquidad.

No permita Dios que tenga yo parte en sus designios, ni empañe mi gloria uniéndome con ellos; porque en los homicidios demostraron su furor, y en la destrucción de una ciudad su venganza.
En su secreto no entre mi alma, ni mi honra se junte en su compañía; que en su furor mataron varón, y en su voluntad arrancaron muro.
O my soul, come not thou into their secret; unto their assembly, mine honour, be not thou united: for in their anger they slew a man, and in their selfwill they digged down a wall.
My soul, don’t come into their council. My glory, don’t be united to their assembly; for in their anger they killed men. In their self-will they hamstrung cattle.
Maldito su furor, porque es pertinaz; y su saña, porque es inflexible; yo los dividiré en Jacob , y los esparciré por las tribus de Israel.

Tú, Judá, eres un joven y robusto león; tras la presa corriste, hijo mío; después para descansar, te has echado cual león y a manera de leona. ¿Quién osará despertarle?
Cachorro de león Judá: de la presa subiste, hijo mío: encorvóse, echóse como león, así como león viejo; ¿quién lo despertará?
Judah is a lion’s whelp: from the prey, my son, thou art gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up?
Judah is a lion’s cub. From the prey, my son, you have gone up. He stooped down, he crouched as a lion, as a lioness. Who will rouse him up?
EL CETRO NO SERA QUITADO DE JUDA, ni de su posteridad el caudillo, hasta que venga el que ha de ser enviado, y éste será la esperanza de las naciones.
No será quitado el cetro de Judá, y el legislador de entre sus piés, hasta que venga Shiloh; y á él se congregarán los pueblos.
The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.
The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, until he comes to whom it belongs. The obedience of the peoples will be to him.
El Mesías o Enviado ligará a la viña su pollino, y a la cepa, ¡oh, hijo mío!, su asna. Lavará en vino su vestido, y en sangre de las uvas su manto.
Atando á la vid su pollino, y á la cepa el hijo de su asna, lavó en el vino su vestido, y en la sangre de uvas su manto:
Binding his foal unto the vine, and his ass’s colt unto the choice vine; he washed his garments in wine, and his clothes in the blood of grapes:

Sus ojos son más hermosos que el vino, y sus dientes más blancos que la leche.

Zabulón habitará en la ribera del mar; y donde aportan las naves extendiéndose hasta Sidón.

Zebulun shall dwell at the haven of the sea; and he shall be for an haven of ships; and his border shall be unto Zidon.
“Zebulun will dwell at the haven of the sea. He will be for a haven of ships. His border will be on Sidon.
Isacar será para el trabajo, como asno robusto; se mantendrá en sus términos.
Issachâr, asno huesudo echado entre dos tercios:
Issachar is a strong ass couching down between two burdens:
“Issachar is a strong donkey, lying down between the saddlebags.
Consideró que el reposo o sosiego era una cosa buena: y que su terreno es excelente; y ha arrimado su hombro al trabajo, y sujetándose a pagar tributos.
Y vió que el descanso era bueno, y que la tierra era deleitosa; y bajó su hombro para llevar, y sirvió en tributo.
And he saw that rest was good, and the land that it was pleasant; and bowed his shoulder to bear, and became a servant unto tribute.
He saw a resting place, that it was good, the land, that it was pleasant. He bows his shoulder to the burden, and becomes a servant doing forced labor.
Dan será juez de su pueblo, a la manera de cualquier otra tribu de Israel.

Venga a ser Dan como una culebra en el camino, como un ceraste o áspid en la senda, que muerde la uña o pie del caballo, para que caiga de espaldas el jinete.
Será Dan serpiente junto al camino, cerasta junto á la senda, que muerde los talones de los caballos, y hace caer por detrás al cabalgador de ellos.
Dan shall be a serpent by the way, an adder in the path, that biteth the horse heels, so that his rider shall fall backward.

Yo, Señor, aguardaré TU SALUD.

Gad, armado de todo punto, irá peleando a la vanguardia de Israel; y él mismo se dispondrá para volver hacia atrás.
Gad, ejército lo acometerá; mas él acometerá al fin.

“A troop will press on Gad, but he will press on their heel.
El pan de Aser es mantecoso o excelente, y servirá de regalo a los reyes.
El pan de Aser será grueso, y él dará deleites al rey.
Out of Asher his bread shall be fat, and he shall yield royal dainties.
“Asher’s food will be rich. He will produce royal dainties.
Neftalí sera como un ciervo que se ve suelto, y la gracia se derramará sobre sus labios.
Nephtalí, sierva dejada, que dará dichos hermosos.
Naphtali is a hind let loose: he giveth goodly words.
“Naphtali is a doe set free, who bears beautiful fawns.
Hijo que va en auge José; hijo que siempre va en auge, y de hermoso aspecto; las doncellas corrieron sobre los muros para mirarle.
Ramo fructífero José, ramo fructífero junto á fuente, cuyos vástagos se extienden sobre el muro.
Joseph is a fruitful bough, even a fruitful bough by a well; whose branches run over the wall:
“Joseph is a fruitful vine, a fruitful vine by a spring. His branches run over the wall.
Pero antes le causaron amarguras y le armaron pendencias, y le miraron con mortal envidia sus hermanos armados de flechas.
Y causáronle amargura, y asaeteáronle, y aborreciéronle los archeros:
The archers have sorely grieved him, and shot at him, and hated him:

Apoyó su arco o su confianza en el fuerte Dios, y fueron desatadas las cadenas de sus brazos y manos por la mano del todopoderoso Dios de Jacob de donde salió para pastor y piedra fundamental de Israel.
Mas su arco quedó en fortaleza, y los brazos de sus manos se corroboraron por las manos del Fuerte de Jacob, (de allí el pastor, y la piedra de Israel,)
But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob; (from thence is the shepherd, the stone of Israel:)

¡Oh hijo mío! El Dios de tu padre será tu auxiliador, y el Omnipotente te llenará de bendiciones de lo alto del cielo, de bendiciones de los manantiales de aguas abundantes de acá abajo, de bendiciones de leche y de fecundidad.
Del Dios de tu padre, el cual te ayudará, y del Omnipotente, el cual te bendecirá con bendiciones de los cielos de arriba, con bendiciones del abismo que está abajo, con bendiciones del seno y de la matriz.
Even by the God of thy father, who shall help thee; and by the Almighty, who shall bless thee with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lieth under, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb:

Las bendiciones que te da tu padre Jacob sobrepujan las bendiciones de sus progenitores, hasta que venga el DESEADO de los collados eternos. Recaigan estas bendiciones sobre la cabeza de José, sobre la cabeza del Nazareno o escogido entre sus hermanos.
Las bendiciones de tu padre fueron mayores que las bendiciones de mis progenitores: hasta el término de los collados eternos serán sobre la cabeza de José, y sobre la mollera del Nazareo de sus hermanos.
The blessings of thy father have prevailed above the blessings of my progenitors unto the utmost bound of the everlasting hills: they shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him that was separate from his brethren.
The blessings of your father have prevailed above the blessings of my ancestors, above the boundaries of the ancient hills. They will be on the head of Joseph, on the crown of the head of him who is separated from his brothers.
Benjamín, lobo rapaz, por la mañana devorará la presa, y por la tarde repartirá los despojos.

Todos éstos son los caudillos de las doce tribus de Israel. Estas cosas les anunció su padre, bendiciendo a cada uno con su bendición peculiar.
Todos estos fueron las doce tribus de Israel: y esto fué lo que su padre les dijo, y bendíjolos; á cada uno por su bendición los bendijo.

enfrente de Mambre, en la tierra de Canaán; la cual compró Abrahán con el campo de Efrón heteo, para tener allí su sepultura.
En la cueva que está en el campo de Macpela, que está delante de Mamre en la tierra de Canaán, la cual compró Abraham con el mismo campo de Ephrón el Hetheo, para heredad de sepultura.

Concluidos estos encargos e instrucciones a sus hijos, recogió sus pies sobre la cama, y expiró; y fue a reunirse con su pueblo.
Y como acabó Jacob de dar órdenes á sus hijos, encogió sus pies en la cama, y espiró: y fué reunido con sus padres.
And when Jacob had made an end of commanding his sons, he gathered up his feet into the bed, and yielded up the ghost, and was gathered unto his people.
