Darnach begab es sich, dass dem Joseph berichtet ward: Siehe, dein Vater ist krank. Da nahm er seine beiden Söhne Manasse und Ephraim mit sich und kam zu Jakob.

Y SUCEDIÓ después de estas cosas el haberse dicho á José: He aquí tu padre está enfermo. Y él tomó consigo sus dos hijos Manasés y Ephraim.

And it came to pass after these things, that one told Joseph, Behold, thy father is sick: and he took with him his two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim.

After these things, someone said to Joseph, “Behold, your father is sick.” He took with him his two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim.

Und man meldete Jakob: Siehe, dein Sohn Joseph kommt zu dir. Da raffte sich Israel zusammen und setzte sich im Bette auf.

Y se hizo saber á Jacob, diciendo: He aquí tu hijo José viene á ti. Entonces se esforzó Israel, y sentóse sobre la cama;

And one told Jacob, and said, Behold, thy son Joseph cometh unto thee: and Israel strengthened himself, and sat upon the bed.

Someone told Jacob, and said, “Behold, your son Joseph comes to you,” and Israel strengthened himself, and sat on the bed.

Und Jakob sprach zu Joseph: Der allmächtige Gott erschien mir zu Lus im Lande Kanaan, segnete mich (a) 1Mo 35:6 11 12

Y dijo á José: El Dios Omnipotente me apareció en Luz en la tierra de Canaán, y me bendijo,

And Jacob said unto Joseph, God Almighty appeared unto me at Luz in the land of Canaan, and blessed me,

Jacob said to Joseph, “God Almighty appeared to me at Luz in the land of Canaan, and blessed me,

und sprach zu mir: "Siehe, ich will dich fruchtbar machen und dich mehren, will dich zu einer Gemeinde von Völkern machen und deinem Geschlechte dieses Land zum ewigen Besitze geben."

Y díjome: He aquí, yo te haré crecer, y te multiplicaré, y te pondré por estirpe de pueblos: y daré esta tierra á tu simiente después de ti por heredad perpetua.

And said unto me, Behold, I will make thee fruitful, and multiply thee, and I will make of thee a multitude of people; and will give this land to thy seed after thee for an everlasting possession.

and said to me, ‘Behold, I will make you fruitful, and multiply you, and I will make of you a company of peoples, and will give this land to your offspring after you for an everlasting possession.’

Und nun sollen deine beiden Söhne, die dir in Ägypten geboren wurden, ehe ich zu dir nach Ägypten kam, die meinen sein; wie Ruben und Simeon sollen Manasse und Ephraim mir gelten. (a) 1Mo 41:50-52

Y ahora tus dos hijos Ephraim y Manasés, que te nacieron en la tierra de Egipto, antes que viniese á ti á la tierra de Egipto, míos son; como Rubén y Simeón, serán míos:

And now thy two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, which were born unto thee in the land of Egypt before I came unto thee into Egypt, are mine; as Reuben and Simeon, they shall be mine.

Now your two sons, who were born to you in the land of Egypt before I came to you into Egypt, are mine; Ephraim and Manasseh, even as Reuben and Simeon, will be mine.

Die Kinder aber, die du nach ihnen gezeugt hast, sollen dein sein; nach dem Namen ihrer Brüder sollen sie benannt sein auf ihrem Erbteil.

Y los que después de ellos has engendrado, serán tuyos; por el nombre de sus hermanos serán llamados en sus heredades.

And thy issue, which thou begettest after them, shall be thine, and shall be called after the name of their brethren in their inheritance.

Your offspring, whom you become the father of after them, will be yours. They will be called after the name of their brothers in their inheritance.

Als ich aus Mesopotamien kam, starb mir Rahel im Lande Kanaan auf dem Wege, als es nur noch ein Stück weit bis Ephrath war, und ich begrub sie daselbst am Wege nach Ephrath - das ist Bethlehem. (a) 1Mo 35:19

Porque cuando yo venía de Padan-aram, se me murió Rachêl en la tierra de Canaán, en el camino, como media legua de tierra viniendo á Ephrata; y sepultéla allí en el camino de Ephrata, que es Bethlehem.

And as for me, when I came from Padan, Rachel died by me in the land of Canaan in the way, when yet there was but a little way to come unto Ephrath: and I buried her there in the way of Ephrath; the same is Beth-lehem.

As for me, when I came from Paddan, Rachel died beside me in the land of Canaan on the way, when there was still some distance to come to Ephrath, and I buried her there on the way to Ephrath (also called Bethlehem).”

Als nun Israel die Söhne Josephs sah, sprach er: Wer sind diese?

Y vió Israel los hijos de José, y dijo: ¿Quiénes son éstos?

And Israel beheld Joseph’s sons, and said, Who are these?

Israel saw Joseph’s sons, and said, “Who are these?”

Joseph antwortete seinem Vater: Es sind meine Söhne, die Gott mir hier gegeben hat. Da sprach er: Bringe sie her zu mir, dass ich sie segne.

Y respondió José á su padre: Son mis hijos, que Dios me ha dado aquí. Y él dijo: Allégalos ahora á mí, y los bendeciré.

And Joseph said unto his father, They are my sons, whom God hath given me in this place. And he said, Bring them, I pray thee, unto me, and I will bless them.

Joseph said to his father, “They are my sons, whom God has given me here.” He said, “Please bring them to me, and I will bless them.”

Israels Augen aber waren vor Alter schwach geworden, sodass er nicht mehr sehen konnte. Und er führte sie nahe zu ihm hin; er aber küsste und umarmte sie.

Y los ojos de Israel estaban tan agravados de la vejez, que no podía ver. Hízoles, pues, llegar á él, y él los besó y abrazó.

Now the eyes of Israel were dim for age, so that he could not see. And he brought them near unto him; and he kissed them, and embraced them.

Da sprach Israel zu Joseph: Ich hätte nicht gedacht, dass ich dein Angesicht je wiedersehen würde; und nun hat Gott mich sogar deine Kinder schauen lassen.

Y dijo Israel á José: No pensaba yo ver tu rostro, y he aquí Dios me ha hecho ver también tu simiente.

And Israel said unto Joseph, I had not thought to see thy face: and, lo, God hath shewed me also thy seed.

Israel said to Joseph, “I didn’t think I would see your face, and behold, God has let me see your offspring also.”

Dann zog sie Joseph von seinen Knieen zurück und verneigte sich mit dem Angesicht zur Erde.

Darnach nahm Joseph die beiden, den Ephraim an seiner rechten Hand zur Linken Israels und den Manasse an seiner linken Hand zur Rechten Israels, und führte sie nahe zu ihm hin.

Y tomólos José á ambos, Ephraim á su diestra, á la siniestra de Israel; y á Manasés á su izquierda, á la derecha de Israel; é hízoles llegar á él.

And Joseph took them both, Ephraim in his right hand toward Israel’s left hand, and Manasseh in his left hand toward Israel’s right hand, and brought them near unto him.

Aber Israel streckte seine Rechte aus und legte sie auf Ephraims, des Jüngern, Haupt und seine Linke auf das Haupt Manasses, indem er die Arme kreuzte; Manasse war nämlich der Erstgeborne.

And Israel stretched out his right hand, and laid it upon Ephraim’s head, who was the younger, and his left hand upon Manasseh’s head, guiding his hands wittingly; for Manasseh was the firstborn.

Und er segnete Joseph und sprach: Der Gott, vor dem meine Väter Abraham und Isaak gewandelt, / der Gott, der mein Hirte gewesen mein Leben lang, bis auf diesen Tag, /

And he blessed Joseph, and said, God, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac did walk, the God which fed me all my life long unto this day,

He blessed Joseph, and said, “The God before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac walked, the God who has fed me all my life long to this day,

der Engel, der mich aus aller Not erlöst hat: / er segne diese Knaben, dass in ihnen mein Name fortlebe / und der Name meiner Väter Abraham und Isaak, / dass sie wachsen und zahlreich werden auf der Erde.

El Angel que me liberta de todo mal, bendiga á estos mozos: y mi nombre sea llamado en ellos, y el nombre de mis padres Abraham é Isaac: y multipliquen en gran manera en medio de la tierra.

The Angel which redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads; and let my name be named on them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.

Als aber Joseph sah, dass sein Vater die rechte Hand auf Ephraims Haupt legte, missfiel es ihm, und er fasste seines Vaters Hand, um sie vom Haupte Ephraims auf Manasses Haupt zu legen;

Entonces viendo José que su padre ponía la mano derecha sobre la cabeza de Ephraim, causóle esto disgusto; y asió la mano de su padre, para mudarla de sobre la cabeza de Ephraim á la cabeza de Manasés.

And when Joseph saw that his father laid his right hand upon the head of Ephraim, it displeased him: and he held up his father’s hand, to remove it from Ephraim’s head unto Manasseh’s head.

und Joseph sprach zu seinem Vater: Nicht also, mein Vater! dieser ist der Erstgeborne, lege deine Rechte auf sein Haupt.

Y dijo José á su padre: No así, padre mío, porque éste es el primogénito; pon tu diestra sobre su cabeza.

And Joseph said unto his father, Not so, my father: for this is the firstborn; put thy right hand upon his head.

Joseph said to his father, “Not so, my father, for this is the firstborn. Put your right hand on his head.”

Aber sein Vater weigerte sich und sprach: Ich weiss, mein Sohn, ich weiss wohl. Auch dieser wird zu einem Volke werden, und auch er wird gross sein; aber sein jüngerer Bruder wird grösser sein als er, und sein Geschlecht wird eine Menge von Völkern werden.

Mas su padre no quiso, y dijo: Lo sé, hijo mío, lo sé: también él vendrá á ser un pueblo, y será también acrecentado; pero su hermano menor será más grande que él, y su simiente será plenitud de gentes.

And his father refused, and said, I know it, my son, I know it: he also shall become a people, and he also shall be great: but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his seed shall become a multitude of nations.

His father refused, and said, “I know, my son, I know. He also will become a people, and he also will be great. However, his younger brother will be greater than he, and his offspring will become a multitude of nations.”

So segnete er sie an jenem Tage und sprach: Mit eurem Namen wird man in Israel Segen wünschen und sprechen: Gott mache dich wie Ephraim und wie Manasse! und gab damit Ephraim den Vorrang vor Manasse. (a) 1Mo 12:2 3; 18:18

Y bendíjolos aquel día, diciendo: En ti bendecirá Israel, diciendo: Póngate Dios como á Ephraim y como á Manasés. Y puso á Ephraim delante de Manasés.

And he blessed them that day, saying, In thee shall Israel bless, saying, God make thee as Ephraim and as Manasseh: and he set Ephraim before Manasseh.

He blessed them that day, saying, “Israel will bless in your name, saying, ‘God make you as Ephraim and as Manasseh’” He set Ephraim before Manasseh.

Dann sprach Israel zu Joseph: Siehe, ich sterbe nun; Gott aber wird mit euch sein und wird euch wieder in das Land eurer Väter bringen.

Y dijo Israel á José: He aquí, yo muero, mas Dios será con vosotros, y os hará volver á la tierra de vuestros padres.

And Israel said unto Joseph, Behold, I die: but God shall be with you, and bring you again unto the land of your fathers.

Israel said to Joseph, “Behold, I am dying, but God will be with you, and bring you again to the land of your fathers.

Und ich gebe dir als Vorzug vor deinen Brüdern einen Bergrücken, den ich den Amoritern abgenommen habe mit meinem Schwert und Bogen. (1) d.i. Sichem.

Y yo te he dado á ti una parte sobre tus hermanos, la cual tomé yo de mano del Amorrheo con mi espada y con mi arco.

Moreover I have given to thee one portion above thy brethren, which I took out of the hand of the Amorite with my sword and with my bow.

Moreover I have given to you one portion above your brothers, which I took out of the hand of the Amorite with my sword and with my bow.”
