Aconteceu que, depois dessas coisas, veio alguém e disse a José: "Eis que teu pai está doente". Então, ele pegou seus dois filhos, Manassés e Efraim.

Y SUCEDIÓ después de estas cosas el haberse dicho á José: He aquí tu padre está enfermo. Y él tomó consigo sus dos hijos Manasés y Ephraim.

And it came to pass after these things, that one told Joseph, Behold, thy father is sick: and he took with him his two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim.

After these things, someone said to Joseph, “Behold, your father is sick.” He took with him his two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim.

Quando disseram a Jacó "Eis que teu filho José chegou para ver-te", Israel se esforçou e se sentou na cama.

Y se hizo saber á Jacob, diciendo: He aquí tu hijo José viene á ti. Entonces se esforzó Israel, y sentóse sobre la cama;

And one told Jacob, and said, Behold, thy son Joseph cometh unto thee: and Israel strengthened himself, and sat upon the bed.

Someone told Jacob, and said, “Behold, your son Joseph comes to you,” and Israel strengthened himself, and sat on the bed.

Jacó disse a José: "O Deus Todo Poderoso me apareceu na cidade de Luz, na terra de Canaã. Ele me abençoou

Y dijo á José: El Dios Omnipotente me apareció en Luz en la tierra de Canaán, y me bendijo,

And Jacob said unto Joseph, God Almighty appeared unto me at Luz in the land of Canaan, and blessed me,

Jacob said to Joseph, “God Almighty appeared to me at Luz in the land of Canaan, and blessed me,

e me disse: 'Eis que te farei fértil e te multiplicarei. Farei de ti uma multidão de povos e darei a teus descendentes esta terra como possessão perpétua'.

Y díjome: He aquí, yo te haré crecer, y te multiplicaré, y te pondré por estirpe de pueblos: y daré esta tierra á tu simiente después de ti por heredad perpetua.

And said unto me, Behold, I will make thee fruitful, and multiply thee, and I will make of thee a multitude of people; and will give this land to thy seed after thee for an everlasting possession.

and said to me, ‘Behold, I will make you fruitful, and multiply you, and I will make of you a company of peoples, and will give this land to your offspring after you for an everlasting possession.’

E, assim, teus dois filhos, que nasceram para ti na terra do Egito antes que eu viesse a ti no Egito, eles são meus. Efraim e Manassés serão meus, assim como Rúben e Simeão.

Y ahora tus dos hijos Ephraim y Manasés, que te nacieron en la tierra de Egipto, antes que viniese á ti á la tierra de Egipto, míos son; como Rubén y Simeón, serán míos:

And now thy two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, which were born unto thee in the land of Egypt before I came unto thee into Egypt, are mine; as Reuben and Simeon, they shall be mine.

Now your two sons, who were born to you in the land of Egypt before I came to you into Egypt, are mine; Ephraim and Manasseh, even as Reuben and Simeon, will be mine.

Os filhos que tiveres depois deles serão teus; e em nome de seus irmãos receberão sua herança.

Y los que después de ellos has engendrado, serán tuyos; por el nombre de sus hermanos serán llamados en sus heredades.

And thy issue, which thou begettest after them, shall be thine, and shall be called after the name of their brethren in their inheritance.

Your offspring, whom you become the father of after them, will be yours. They will be called after the name of their brothers in their inheritance.

Porque, quando vim de Padã, para minha tristeza, Raquel morreu no caminho da terra de Canaã, enquanto ainda faltava certa distância para chegar em Efrata. Eu a enterrei no caminho para Efrata", que é Belém.

Porque cuando yo venía de Padan-aram, se me murió Rachêl en la tierra de Canaán, en el camino, como media legua de tierra viniendo á Ephrata; y sepultéla allí en el camino de Ephrata, que es Bethlehem.

And as for me, when I came from Padan, Rachel died by me in the land of Canaan in the way, when yet there was but a little way to come unto Ephrath: and I buried her there in the way of Ephrath; the same is Beth-lehem.

As for me, when I came from Paddan, Rachel died beside me in the land of Canaan on the way, when there was still some distance to come to Ephrath, and I buried her there on the way to Ephrath (also called Bethlehem).”

Quando Israel viu os filhos de José, disse: "Quem são estes?".

Y vió Israel los hijos de José, y dijo: ¿Quiénes son éstos?

And Israel beheld Joseph’s sons, and said, Who are these?

Israel saw Joseph’s sons, and said, “Who are these?”

José lhe respondeu: "Estes são meus filhos, que Deus me deu aqui". Israel lhe disse: "Traze-os até mim, para que eu os abençoe".

Y respondió José á su padre: Son mis hijos, que Dios me ha dado aquí. Y él dijo: Allégalos ahora á mí, y los bendeciré.

And Joseph said unto his father, They are my sons, whom God hath given me in this place. And he said, Bring them, I pray thee, unto me, and I will bless them.

Joseph said to his father, “They are my sons, whom God has given me here.” He said, “Please bring them to me, and I will bless them.”

Os olhos de Israel já não enxergavam devido a sua idade avançada, por isso ele não pôde vê-los. Então, José os trouxe para perto dele, que os beijou e os abraçou.

Y los ojos de Israel estaban tan agravados de la vejez, que no podía ver. Hízoles, pues, llegar á él, y él los besó y abrazó.

Now the eyes of Israel were dim for age, so that he could not see. And he brought them near unto him; and he kissed them, and embraced them.

Israel disse a José: "Nunca esperei ver tua face novamente, mas Deus me permitiu ver teus filhos".

Y dijo Israel á José: No pensaba yo ver tu rostro, y he aquí Dios me ha hecho ver también tu simiente.

And Israel said unto Joseph, I had not thought to see thy face: and, lo, God hath shewed me also thy seed.

Israel said to Joseph, “I didn’t think I would see your face, and behold, God has let me see your offspring also.”

José os tirou do colo de Israel e, então, prostou-se com rosto em terra.

Entonces José los sacó de entre sus rodillas, é inclinóse á tierra.

And Joseph brought them out from between his knees, and he bowed himself with his face to the earth.

José pegou os dois, Efraim pela sua mão direita em direção à mão esquerda de Israel, e Manassés pela sua mão esquerda em direção à mão direita de Israel, e os trouxe para perto dele.

Y tomólos José á ambos, Ephraim á su diestra, á la siniestra de Israel; y á Manasés á su izquierda, á la derecha de Israel; é hízoles llegar á él.

And Joseph took them both, Ephraim in his right hand toward Israel’s left hand, and Manasseh in his left hand toward Israel’s right hand, and brought them near unto him.

Israel estendeu sua mão direita e a pôs sobre a cabeça de Efraim, que era o mais jovem, e sua mão esquerda sobre a cabeça de Manassés, assim ele cruzou suas mãos, pois Manassés era o primogênito.

Entonces Israel extendió su diestra, y púsola sobre la cabeza de Ephraim, que era el menor, y su siniestra sobre la cabeza de Manasés, colocando así sus manos adrede, aunque Manasés era el primogénito.

And Israel stretched out his right hand, and laid it upon Ephraim’s head, who was the younger, and his left hand upon Manasseh’s head, guiding his hands wittingly; for Manasseh was the firstborn.

Israel stretched out his right hand, and laid it on Ephraim’s head, who was the younger, and his left hand on Manasseh’s head, guiding his hands knowingly, for Manasseh was the firstborn.

Israel abençoou José, dizendo-lhe: "O Deus com quem meus pais Abraão e Isaque andaram, o Deus que tem cuidado de mim até este dia,

Y bendijo á José, y dijo: El Dios en cuya presencia anduvieron mis padres Abraham é Isaac, el Dios que me mantiene desde que yo soy hasta este día,

And he blessed Joseph, and said, God, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac did walk, the God which fed me all my life long unto this day,

He blessed Joseph, and said, “The God before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac walked, the God who has fed me all my life long to this day,

o Anjo que tem me protegido de todo perigo, abençoe estes rapazes. E que o meu nome seja reconhecido neles, e também o nome de meus pais, Abraão e Isaque. E que se multipliquem sobre a terra".

El Angel que me liberta de todo mal, bendiga á estos mozos: y mi nombre sea llamado en ellos, y el nombre de mis padres Abraham é Isaac: y multipliquen en gran manera en medio de la tierra.

The Angel which redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads; and let my name be named on them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.

Quando José viu a mão direita de seu pai na cabeça de Efraim, isso lhe foi desagradável. Então, ele pegou a mão de seu pai e a removeu da cabeça de Efraim para a cabeça de Manassés.

Entonces viendo José que su padre ponía la mano derecha sobre la cabeza de Ephraim, causóle esto disgusto; y asió la mano de su padre, para mudarla de sobre la cabeza de Ephraim á la cabeza de Manasés.

And when Joseph saw that his father laid his right hand upon the head of Ephraim, it displeased him: and he held up his father’s hand, to remove it from Ephraim’s head unto Manasseh’s head.

When Joseph saw that his father laid his right hand on the head of Ephraim, it displeased him. He held up his father’s hand, to remove it from Ephraim’s head to Manasseh’s head.

José disse a seu pai: "Assim não, meu pai, pois este é o primogênito. Põe tua mão direita sobre a cabeça dele".

Y dijo José á su padre: No así, padre mío, porque éste es el primogénito; pon tu diestra sobre su cabeza.

And Joseph said unto his father, Not so, my father: for this is the firstborn; put thy right hand upon his head.

Joseph said to his father, “Not so, my father, for this is the firstborn. Put your right hand on his head.”

Seu pai se recusou e lhe disse: "Eu sei, meu filho, eu sei. Ele também se tornará um povo, e ele também será grande. Mas seu irmão mais jovem será maior do que ele, e a descendência dele se tornará como uma multidão de nações".

Mas su padre no quiso, y dijo: Lo sé, hijo mío, lo sé: también él vendrá á ser un pueblo, y será también acrecentado; pero su hermano menor será más grande que él, y su simiente será plenitud de gentes.

And his father refused, and said, I know it, my son, I know it: he also shall become a people, and he also shall be great: but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his seed shall become a multitude of nations.

His father refused, and said, “I know, my son, I know. He also will become a people, and he also will be great. However, his younger brother will be greater than he, and his offspring will become a multitude of nations.”

Israel os abençoou naquele dia com estas palavras: "O povo de Israel pronunciará bênçãos utilizando vossos nomes, dizendo: 'Que Deus vos faça como Efraim e Manassés'". Desse modo, Israel colocou Efraim à frente de Manassés.

Y bendíjolos aquel día, diciendo: En ti bendecirá Israel, diciendo: Póngate Dios como á Ephraim y como á Manasés. Y puso á Ephraim delante de Manasés.

And he blessed them that day, saying, In thee shall Israel bless, saying, God make thee as Ephraim and as Manasseh: and he set Ephraim before Manasseh.

He blessed them that day, saying, “Israel will bless in your name, saying, ‘God make you as Ephraim and as Manasseh’” He set Ephraim before Manasseh.

Israel disse a José: "Eis que estou para morrer, porém Deus estará contigo, e Ele vai te trazer de volta para a terra de teus pais.

Y dijo Israel á José: He aquí, yo muero, mas Dios será con vosotros, y os hará volver á la tierra de vuestros padres.

And Israel said unto Joseph, Behold, I die: but God shall be with you, and bring you again unto the land of your fathers.

Israel said to Joseph, “Behold, I am dying, but God will be with you, and bring you again to the land of your fathers.

Para ti, como alguém que está acima de teus irmãos, te dou a encosta da montanha que tomei dos amorreus com minha espada e com meu arco.

Y yo te he dado á ti una parte sobre tus hermanos, la cual tomé yo de mano del Amorrheo con mi espada y con mi arco.

Moreover I have given to thee one portion above thy brethren, which I took out of the hand of the Amorite with my sword and with my bow.

Moreover I have given to you one portion above your brothers, which I took out of the hand of the Amorite with my sword and with my bow.”
