7Lorsque je revins de la Mésopotamie syrienne, ta mère, Rachel, mourut en la terre de Chanaan, comme j'étais près d'arriver à Ephratha, en suivant l'hippodrome de la terre d'Habratha, et je l'ensevelis sur le chemin de l'hippodrome : ce lieu est aujourd'hui Bethléem.

7Porque cuando yo venía de Padan-aram, se me murió Rachêl en la tierra de Canaán, en el camino, como media legua de tierra viniendo á Ephrata; y sepultéla allí en el camino de Ephrata, que es Bethlehem.

7And as for me, when I came from Padan, Rachel died by me in the land of Canaan in the way, when yet there was but a little way to come unto Ephrath: and I buried her there in the way of Ephrath; the same is Beth-lehem.
World English Bible
7As for me, when I came from Paddan, Rachel died beside me in the land of Canaan on the way, when there was still some distance to come to Ephrath, and I buried her there on the way to Ephrath (also called Bethlehem).”
