Joseph donc vint et fit entendre à Pharaon, en disant : Mon père, et mes frères, avec leurs troupeaux et leurs boeufs, et tout ce qui est à eux, sont venus du pays de Canaan, et voici, ils sont en la contrée de Goscen.

Y JOSÉ vino, é hizo saber á Faraón, y dijo: Mi padre y mis hermanos, y sus ovejas y sus vacas, con todo lo que tienen, han venido de la tierra de Canaán, y he aquí, están en la tierra de Gosén.

Then Joseph came and told Pharaoh, and said, My father and my brethren, and their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have, are come out of the land of Canaan; and, behold, they are in the land of Goshen.

Then Joseph went in and told Pharaoh, and said, “My father and my brothers, with their flocks, their herds, and all that they own, have come out of the land of Canaan; and behold, they are in the land of Goshen.”

Et il prit une partie de ses frères ; savoir cinq ; et il les présenta à Pharaon.

Y de los postreros de sus hermanos tomó cinco varones, y presentólos delante de Faraón.

And he took some of his brethren, even five men, and presented them unto Pharaoh.

From among his brothers he took five men, and presented them to Pharaoh.

Et Pharaon dit aux frères de Joseph : Quel est votre métier ? Ils répondirent à Pharaon : Tes serviteurs sont bergers, comme l’ont été nos pères.

Y Faraón dijo á sus hermanos: ¿Cuál es vuestro oficio? Y ellos respondieron á Faraón: Pastores de ovejas son tus siervos, así nosotros como nuestros padres.

And Pharaoh said unto his brethren, What is your occupation? And they said unto Pharaoh, Thy servants are shepherds, both we, and also our fathers.

Pharaoh said to his brothers, “What is your occupation?” They said to Pharaoh, “Your servants are shepherds, both we, and our fathers.”

Ils dirent aussi à Pharaon : Nous sommes venus demeurer comme étrangers en ce pays, parce qu’il n’y a point de pâture pour les troupeaux de tes serviteurs, et qu’il y a une grande famine au pays de Canaan ; maintenant donc nous te prions que tes serviteurs demeurent en la contrée de Goscen.

Dijeron además á Faraón: Por morar en esta tierra hemos venido; porque no hay pasto para las ovejas de tus siervos, pues el hambre es grave en la tierra de Canaán: por tanto, te rogamos ahora que habiten tus siervos en la tierra de Gosén.

They said moreover unto Pharaoh, For to sojourn in the land are we come; for thy servants have no pasture for their flocks; for the famine is sore in the land of Canaan: now therefore, we pray thee, let thy servants dwell in the land of Goshen.

They also said to Pharaoh, “We have come to live as foreigners in the land, for there is no pasture for your servants’ flocks. For the famine is severe in the land of Canaan. Now therefore, please let your servants dwell in the land of Goshen.”

Et Pharaon parla à Joseph, en disant : Ton père et tes frères sont venus vers toi.

Entonces Faraón habló á José, diciendo: Tu padre y tus hermanos han venido á ti;

And Pharaoh spake unto Joseph, saying, Thy father and thy brethren are come unto thee:

Pharaoh spoke to Joseph, saying, “Your father and your brothers have come to you.

Le pays d’Egypte est à ta disposition ; fais habiter ton père et tes frères dans le meilleur endroit du pays ; qu’ils demeurent dans la terre de Goscen ; et si tu connais qu’il y ait parmi eux des hommes habiles tu les établiras gouverneurs sur tous mes troupeaux.

La tierra de Egipto delante de ti está; en lo mejor de la tierra haz habitar á tu padre y á tus hermanos; habiten en la tierra de Gosén; y si entiendes que hay entre ellos hombres eficaces, ponlos por mayorales del ganado mío.

The land of Egypt is before thee; in the best of the land make thy father and brethren to dwell; in the land of Goshen let them dwell: and if thou knowest any men of activity among them, then make them rulers over my cattle.

The land of Egypt is before you. Make your father and your brothers dwell in the best of the land. Let them dwell in the land of Goshen. If you know any able men among them, then put them in charge of my livestock.”

Alors Joseph amena Jacob son père, et le présenta à Pharaon ; et Jacob bénit Pharaon.

Y José introdujo á su padre, y presentólo delante de Faraón; y Jacob bendijo á Faraón.

And Joseph brought in Jacob his father, and set him before Pharaoh: and Jacob blessed Pharaoh.

Et Pharaon dit à Jacob : Quel âge as-tu ?

Y dijo Faraón á Jacob: ¿Cuántos son los días de los años de tu vida?

And Pharaoh said unto Jacob, How old art thou?

Jacob répondit à Pharaon : Les jours des années de mes pèlerinages sont cent trente ans ; les jours des années de ma vie ont été courts et mauvais, et n’ont point atteint les jours des années de la vie de mes pères, du temps de leurs pèlerinages.

Y Jacob respondió á Faraón: Los días de los años de mi peregrinación son ciento treinta años; pocos y malos han sido los días de los años de mi vida, y no han llegado á los días de los años de la vida de mis padres en los días de su peregrinación.

And Jacob said unto Pharaoh, The days of the years of my pilgrimage are an hundred and thirty years: few and evil have the days of the years of my life been, and have not attained unto the days of the years of the life of my fathers in the days of their pilgrimage.

Jacob said to Pharaoh, “The years of my pilgrimage are one hundred thirty years. The days of the years of my life have been few and evil. They have not attained to the days of the years of the life of my fathers in the days of their pilgrimage.”

Jacob donc bénit Pharaon, et sortit de devant lui.

Et Joseph assigna une demeure à son père et à ses frères, et leur donna une possession au pays d’Egypte, au meilleur endroit du pays, en la contrée de Rahmesès, comme Pharaon l’avait ordonné.

Así José hizo habitar á su padre y á sus hermanos, y dióles posesión en la tierra de Egipto, en lo mejor de la tierra, en la tierra de Rameses como mandó Faraón.

And Joseph placed his father and his brethren, and gave them a possession in the land of Egypt, in the best of the land, in the land of Rameses, as Pharaoh had commanded.

Or il n’y avait point de pain en toute la terre, car la famine était très- grande ; et le pays d’Egypte, et le pays de Canaan, ne savaient que faire à cause de la famine.

Et Joseph amassa tout l’argent qui se trouva au pays d’Egypte, et au pays de Canaan, pour le blé qu’on achetait ; et il porta l’argent à la maison de Pharaon.

Y recogió José todo el dinero que se halló en la tierra de Egipto y en la tierra de Canaán, por los alimentos que de él compraban; y metió José el dinero en casa de Faraón.

And Joseph gathered up all the money that was found in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, for the corn which they bought: and Joseph brought the money into Pharaoh’s house.

Y acabado el dinero de la tierra de Egipto y de la tierra de Canaán, vino todo Egipto á José diciendo: Danos pan: ¿por qué moriremos delante de ti, por haberse acabado el dinero?

And when money failed in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, all the Egyptians came unto Joseph, and said, Give us bread: for why should we die in thy presence? for the money faileth.

When the money was all spent in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, all the Egyptians came to Joseph, and said, “Give us bread, for why should we die in your presence? For our money fails.”

Joseph répondit : Donnez votre bétail, et je vous en donnerai pour votre bétail, puisque l’argent a manqué.

And Joseph said, Give your cattle; and I will give you for your cattle, if money fail.

Alors ils amenèrent à Joseph leur bétail, et Joseph leur donna du pain pour des chevaux, pour des troupeaux de brebis, pour des troupeaux de boeufs, et pour des ânes ; ainsi il les sustenta de pain cette année-là, pour tous leurs troupeaux.

Y ellos trajeron sus ganados á José; y José les dió alimentos por caballos, y por el ganado de las ovejas, y por el ganado de las vacas, y por asnos: y sustentólos de pan por todos sus ganados aquel año.

And they brought their cattle unto Joseph: and Joseph gave them bread in exchange for horses, and for the flocks, and for the cattle of the herds, and for the asses: and he fed them with bread for all their cattle for that year.

Cette année étant finie, ils revinrent à lui l’année suivante, et lui dirent : Nous ne cacherons point à mon Seigneur, que l’argent étant fini, et les troupeaux de bêtes ayant été amenés à mon Seigneur, il ne nous reste plus rien devant mon Seigneur que nos corps, et nos terres.

Y acabado aquel año, vinieron á él el segundo año, y le dijeron: No encubriremos á nuestro señor que el dinero ciertamente se ha acabado; también el ganado es ya de nuestro señor; nada ha quedado delante de nuestro señor sino nuestros cuerpos y nuestra tierra.

When that year was ended, they came unto him the second year, and said unto him, We will not hide it from my lord, how that our money is spent; my lord also hath our herds of cattle; there is not ought left in the sight of my lord, but our bodies, and our lands:

Pourquoi mourrions-nous devant tes yeux ? Achète-nous et nos terres, nous et nos terres, pour du pain ; et nous serons esclaves de Pharaon, et nos terres seront à lui ; donne-nous aussi de quoi semer, afin que nous vivions, et ne mourions point, et que la terre ne soit point désolée.

¿Por qué moriremos delante de tus ojos, así nosotros como nuestra tierra? Cómpranos á nosotros y á nuestra tierra por pan, y seremos nosotros y nuestra tierra siervos de Faraón: y danos simiente para que vivamos y no muramos, y no sea asolada la tierra.

Wherefore shall we die before thine eyes, both we and our land? buy us and our land for bread, and we and our land will be servants unto Pharaoh: and give us seed, that we may live, and not die, that the land be not desolate.

Why should we die before your eyes, both we and our land? Buy us and our land for bread, and we and our land will be servants to Pharaoh. Give us seed, that we may live, and not die, and that the land won’t be desolate.”

Ainsi Joseph acquit à Pharaon toutes les terres d’Egypte ; car les Egyptiens vendirent chacun son champ, parce que la famine s’était augmentée, et la terre fut à Pharaon.

Entonces compró José toda la tierra de Egipto para Faraón; pues los Egipcios vendieron cada uno sus tierras, porque se agravó el hambre sobre ellos: y la tierra vino á ser de Faraón.

And Joseph bought all the land of Egypt for Pharaoh; for the Egyptians sold every man his field, because the famine prevailed over them: so the land became Pharaoh’s.

So Joseph bought all the land of Egypt for Pharaoh, for every man of the Egyptians sold his field, because the famine was severe on them, and the land became Pharaoh’s.

Et il fit passer le peuple dans les villes, depuis un bout des confins de l’Egypte, jusques à son autre bout.

Y al pueblo hízolo pasar á las ciudades desde el un cabo del término de Egipto hasta el otro cabo.

And as for the people, he removed them to cities from one end of the borders of Egypt even to the other end thereof.

Seulement il n’acquit point les terres des Sacrificateurs ; parce qu’il y avait une portion assignée pour les Sacrificateurs, par l’ordre de Pharaon ; et ils mangeaient la portion que Pharaon leur avait donnée, c’est pourquoi ils ne vendirent point leurs terres.

Only the land of the priests bought he not; for the priests had a portion assigned them of Pharaoh, and did eat their portion which Pharaoh gave them: wherefore they sold not their lands.

Et Joseph dit au peuple : Voici, je vous ai acquis aujourd’hui, vous et vos terres à Pharaon, voilà de la semence pour semer la terre.

Y José dijo al pueblo: He aquí os he hoy comprado y á vuestra tierra para Faraón: ved aquí simiente, y sembraréis la tierra.

Then Joseph said unto the people, Behold, I have bought you this day and your land for Pharaoh: lo, here is seed for you, and ye shall sow the land.

Then Joseph said to the people, “Behold, I have bought you and your land today for Pharaoh. Behold, here is seed for you, and you shall sow the land.

Et quand le temps de la récolte viendra, vous en donnerez la cinquième partie à Pharaon, et les quatre autres seront à vous, pour semer les champs, et pour votre nourriture, et pour celle de ceux qui sont dans vos maisons, et pour la nourriture de vos petits enfants.

Y será que de los frutos daréis el quinto á Faraón, y las cuatro partes serán vuestras para sembrar las tierras, y para vuestro mantenimiento, y de los que están en vuestras casas, y para que coman vuestros niños.

And it shall come to pass in the increase, that ye shall give the fifth part unto Pharaoh, and four parts shall be your own, for seed of the field, and for your food, and for them of your households, and for food for your little ones.

It will happen at the harvests, that you shall give a fifth to Pharaoh, and four parts will be your own, for seed of the field, for your food, for them of your households, and for food for your little ones.”

Et ils dirent : Tu nous as sauvé la vie ; que nous trouvions grâce devant les yeux de mon Seigneur, et nous serons esclaves de Pharaon.

Y ellos respondieron: La vida nos has dado: hallemos gracia en ojos de mi señor, y seamos siervos de Faraón.

And they said, Thou hast saved our lives: let us find grace in the sight of my lord, and we will be Pharaoh’s servants.

They said, “You have saved our lives! Let us find favor in the sight of my lord, and we will be Pharaoh’s servants.”

Et Joseph en fit une Loi qui dure jusques à ce jour, à l’égard des terres de l’Egypte, de payer à Pharaon un cinquième du revenu; les terres seules des Sacrificateurs ne furent point à Pharaon.

Entonces José lo puso por fuero hasta hoy sobre la tierra de Egipto, señalando para Faraón el quinto; excepto sólo la tierra de los sacerdotes, que no fué de Faraón.

And Joseph made it a law over the land of Egypt unto this day, that Pharaoh should have the fifth part; except the land of the priests only, which became not Pharaoh’s.

Joseph made it a statute concerning the land of Egypt to this day, that Pharaoh should have the fifth. Only the land of the priests alone didn’t become Pharaoh’s.

Or Israël habita au pays d’Egypte, en la contrée de Goscen ; et ils en jouirent, et s’accrurent, et multiplièrent extrêmement.

Así habitó Israel en la tierra de Egipto, en la tierra de Gosén; y aposesionáronse en ella, y se aumentaron, y multiplicaron en gran manera.

And Israel dwelt in the land of Egypt, in the country of Goshen; and they had possessions therein, and grew, and multiplied exceedingly.

Or le temps de la mort d’Israël approchant, il appela Joseph son fils, et lui dit : Je te prie, si j’ai trouvé grâce devant tes yeux, mets présentement ta main sous ma cuisse, et jure-moi que tu useras envers moi de gratuité et de vérité ; je te prie, ne m’enterre point en Egypte ;

Y llegáronse los días de Israel para morir, y llamó á José su hijo, y le dijo: Si he hallado ahora gracia en tus ojos, ruégote que pongas tu mano debajo de mi muslo, y harás conmigo misericordia y verdad; ruégote que no me entierres en Egipto;

And the time drew nigh that Israel must die: and he called his son Joseph, and said unto him, If now I have found grace in thy sight, put, I pray thee, thy hand under my thigh, and deal kindly and truly with me; bury me not, I pray thee, in Egypt:

The time came near that Israel must die, and he called his son Joseph, and said to him, “If now I have found favor in your sight, please put your hand under my thigh, and deal kindly and truly with me. Please don’t bury me in Egypt,

Mais que je dorme avec mes pères. Tu me transporteras donc d’Egypte, et m’enterreras dans leur sépulcre. Et il répondit : Je le ferai selon ta parole.

Mas cuando durmiere con mis padres, llevarme has de Egipto, y me sepultarás en el sepulcro de ellos. Y él respondió: Yo haré como tú dices.

But I will lie with my fathers, and thou shalt carry me out of Egypt, and bury me in their buryingplace. And he said, I will do as thou hast said.

but when I sleep with my fathers, you shall carry me out of Egypt, and bury me in their burying place.” Joseph said, “I will do as you have said.”

Et Jacob lui dit : Jure-le-moi ; et il le lui jura. Et Israël se prosterna sur le chevet du lit.

Y él dijo: Júramelo. Y él le juró. Entonces Israel se inclinó sobre la cabecera de la cama.

And he said, Swear unto me. And he sware unto him. And Israel bowed himself upon the bed’s head.

Israel said, “Swear to me,” and he swore to him. Then Israel bowed himself on the bed’s head.
