Joseph acquit ainsi toutes les terres de l`Égypte à Pharaon; car les Egyptiens vendirent chacun leur champ, parce que la famine les pressait, et le pays devint la propriété de Pharaon.

Entonces compró José toda la tierra de Egipto para Faraón; pues los Egipcios vendieron cada uno sus tierras, porque se agravó el hambre sobre ellos: y la tierra vino á ser de Faraón.

And Joseph bought all the land of Egypt for Pharaoh; for the Egyptians sold every man his field, because the famine prevailed over them: so the land became Pharaoh’s.
