1Und Israel brach auf und alles, was er hatte, und kam nach Beerscheba, und opferte dem Gotte seines Vaters Isaak Opfer.
2Und Gott sprach zu Israel in Gesichten der Nacht, und Er sprach: Jakob, Jakob! Und er sprach: Hier bin ich.
3Und Er sprach: Ich bin der Gott, der Gott deines Vaters. Fürchte dich nicht, nach Ägypten hinabzugehen; denn ich will dich dort zu einer großen Völkerschaft setzen.
4Ich werde mit dir hinabgehen nach Ägypten und dich auch heraufkommen lassen, und Joseph wird seine Hand auf deine Augen legen.
5Und Jakob machte sich auf von Beerscheba, und die Söhne Israels hoben ihren Vater Jakob, ihre Kindlein und ihre Weiber auf in die Wagen, die Pharao gesandt, ihn zu fahren.
6Und sie nahmen ihre Viehherden und ihre Habe, die sie im Lande Kanaan gewonnen hatten und kamen nach Ägypten, Jakob und all sein Same mit ihm.
7Seine Söhne und seiner Söhne Söhne mit ihm, seine Töchter und seiner Söhne Töchter, und all seinen Samen brachte er mit sich nach Ägypten.
8Und dies sind die Namen der Söhne Israels, die nach Ägypten kamen, Jakobs und seiner Söhne: der Erstgeborene Jakobs: Ruben.
9Und die Söhne Rubens waren: Chanoch und Phallu und Chezron und Karmi.
10Und die Söhne Simeons: Jemuel und Jamin und Ohad und Jachin und Zochar und Schaul, der Sohn einer Kanaaniterin.
11Und die Söhne Levis: Gerschon und Kohath und Merari.
12Und die Söhne Judahs: Er und Onan und Schelah und Pherez und Serach; Er und Onan aber waren gestorben im Lande Kanaan; und die Söhne des Pherez waren Chezron und Chamul.
13Und die Söhne Isaschars: Thola und Phuvah und Job und Schimron.
14Und die Söhne Sebulons: Sered und Elon und Jachleel.
15Dies sind die Söhne der Leah, die sie dem Jakob in Padan Aram gebar, und Dinah, seine Tochter. Alle Seelen seiner Söhne und seiner Töchter waren dreiundreißig.
16Und die Söhne Gads: Ziphjon und Chaggi, Schuni und Ezbon, Eri und Arodi und Areli.
17Und die Söhne Aschers: Jimnah und Jischvah und Jischvi und Berijah und Serach, ihre Schwester, und die Söhne Berijahs: Cheber und Malchiel.
18Dies sind die Söhne Silpahs, die Laban seiner Tochter Leah gab. Und sie gebar diese dem Jakob, sechszehn Seelen.
19Die Söhne von Rachel, Jakobs Weib, waren Joseph und Benjamin.
20Und dem Joseph wurden geboren in Ägyptenland, die Asenath, die Tochter Potipheras, des Priesters von Ohn, ihm gebar, Menascheh und Ephraim.
21Und die Söhne Benjamins waren: Bela und Becher und Aschbel, Gera und Naaman, Echi und Rosch, Muppim und Chuppim und Arde.
22Dies sind die Söhne Rachels, die dem Jakob geboren wurden, alle Seelen, vierzehn.
23Und die Söhne Dans: Chuschim.
24Und die Söhne Naphthalis waren: Jachzeel und Guni und Jezer und Schillem.
25Dies sind die Söhne Bilhahs, die Laban seiner Tochter Rachel gab. Und sie gebar sie dem Jakob, alle Seelen, sieben.
26Alle Seelen, die mit Jakob nach Ägypten kamen, die aus seinen Hüften hervorgingen, außer den Weibern der Söhne Jakobs, waren es alle Seelen, sechsundsechzig.
27Und die Söhne Josephs, die ihm in Ägypten geboren wurden, waren zwei Seelen. Alle Seelen vom Hause Jakobs, die nach Ägypten kamen, waren siebzig.
28Und den Judah sandte er vor sich hin an Joseph, vor ihm her zu weisen nach Goschen; und sie kamen nach dem Lande Goschen.
29Und Joseph spannte seinen Streitwagen an und ging hinauf, seinem Vater Israel entgegen nach Goschen. Und als er sich ihm zeigte, da fiel er ihm um den Hals und weinte lange an seinem Hals.
30Und Israel sprach zu Joseph: Nunmehr will ich sterben, nachdem ich dein Angesicht gesehen, daß du noch lebst.
31Und Joseph sprach zu seinen Brüdern und zu dem Haus seines Vaters: Ich will hinaufgehen und Pharao ansagen, und ich will zu ihm sagen: Meine Brüder und das Haus meines Vaters, die im Lande Kanaan waren, sind zu mir gekommen.
32Und die Männer sind Hirten des Kleinviehs; denn sie sind Männer der Viehherden und haben ihr Kleinvieh und ihre Rinder und alles, was sie haben, hergebracht.
33Und wenn es geschieht, daß Pharao euch ruft und sagt: Was ist euer Tun?
34Dann saget: Männer der Viehherden sind deine Knechte gewesen von unsrer Jugend auf und bis jetzt, sowohl wir als unsre Väter; auf daß ihr wohnen möget im Lande Goschen; denn alle, die Kleinvieh weiden, sind den Ägyptern ein Greuel.

1Y PARTIÓSE Israel con todo lo que tenía, y vino á Beer-seba, y ofreció sacrificios al Dios de su padre Isaac.
2Y habló Dios á Israel en visiones de noche, y dijo: Jacob, Jacob. Y él respondió: Heme aquí.
3Y dijo: Yo soy Dios, el Dios de tu padre; no temas de descender á Egipto, porque yo te pondré allí en gran gente.
4Yo descenderé contigo á Egipto, y yo también te haré volver: y José pondrá su mano sobre tus ojos.
5Y levantóse Jacob de Beer-seba; y tomaron los hijos de Israel á su padre Jacob, y á sus niños, y á sus mujeres, en los carros que Faraón había enviado para llevarlo.
6Y tomaron sus ganados, y su hacienda que había adquirido en la tierra de Canaán, y viniéronse á Egipto, Jacob, y toda su simiente consigo;
7Sus hijos, y los hijos de sus hijos consigo; sus hijas, y las hijas de sus hijos, y á toda su simiente trajo consigo á Egipto.
8Y estos son los nombres de los hijos de Israel, que entraron en Egipto, Jacob y sus hijos: Rubén, el primogénito de Jacob.
9Y los hijos de Rubén: Hanoch, y Phallu, y Hezrón, y Carmi.
10Y los hijos de Simeón: Jemuel, y Jamín, y Ohad, y Jachîn, y Zohar, y Saúl, hijo de la Cananea.
11Y los hijos de Leví: Gersón, y Coath, y Merari.
12Y los hijos de Judá: Er, y Onán, y Sela, y Phares, y Zara: mas Er y Onán, murieron en la tierra de Canaán. Y los hijos de Phares fueron Hezrón y Hamul.
13Y los hijos de Issachâr: Thola, y Phua, y Job, y Simrón.
14Y los hijos de Zabulón: Sered, y Elón, y Jahleel.
15Estos fueron los hijos de Lea, los que parió á Jacob en Padan-aram, y además su hija Dina: treinta y tres las almas todas de sus hijos é hijas.
16Y los hijos de Gad: Ziphión, y Aggi, y Ezbón, y Suni, y Heri, y Arodi, y Areli.
17Y los hijos de Aser: Jimna, é Ishua, é Isui, y Beria, y Sera, hermana de ellos. Los hijos de Beria: Heber, y Malchîel.
18Estos fueron los hijos de Zilpa, la que Labán dió á su hija Lea, y parió estos á Jacob; todas diez y seis almas.
19Y los hijos de Rachêl, mujer de Jacob: José y Benjamín.
20Y nacieron á José en la tierra de Egipto Manasés y Ephraim, los que le parió Asenath, hija de Potipherah, sacerdote de On.
21Y los hijos de Benjamín fueron Bela, y Bechêr y Asbel, y Gera, y Naamán, y Ehi, y Ros y Muppim, y Huppim, y Ard.
22Estos fueron los hijos de Rachêl, que nacieron á Jacob: en todas, catorce almas.
23Y los hijos de Dan: Husim.
24Y los hijos de Nephtalí: Jahzeel, y Guni, y Jezer, y Shillem.
25Estos fueron los hijos de Bilha, la que dió Labán á Rachêl su hija, y parió estos á Jacob; todas siete almas.
26Todas las personas que vinieron con Jacob á Egipto, procedentes de sus lomos, sin las mujeres de los hijos de Jacob, todas las personas fueron sesenta y seis.
27Y los hijos de José, que le nacieron en Egipto, dos personas. Todas las almas de la casa de Jacob, que entraron en Egipto, fueron setenta.
28Y envió á Judá delante de sí á José, para que le viniese á ver á Gosén; y llegaron á la tierra de Gosén.
29Y José unció su carro y vino á recibir á Israel su padre á Gosén; y se manifestó á él, y echóse sobre su cuello, y lloró sobre su cuello bastante.
30Entonces Israel dijo á José: Muera yo ahora, ya que he visto tu rostro, pues aun vives.
31Y José dijo á sus hermanos, y á la casa de su padre: Subiré y haré saber á Faraón, y diréle: Mis hermanos y la casa de mi padre, que estaban en la tierra de Canaán, han venido á mí;
32Y los hombres son pastores de ovejas, porque son hombres ganaderos: y han traído sus ovejas y sus vacas, y todo lo que tenían.
33Y cuando Faraón os llamare y dijere: ¿cuál es vuestro oficio?
34Entonces diréis: Hombres de ganadería han sido tus siervos desde nuestra mocedad hasta ahora, nosotros y nuestros padres; á fin que moréis en la tierra de Gosén, porque los Egipcios abominan todo pastor de ovejas.

1And Israel took his journey with all that he had, and came to Beer-sheba, and offered sacrifices unto the God of his father Isaac.
2And God spake unto Israel in the visions of the night, and said, Jacob, Jacob. And he said, Here am I.
3And he said, I am God, the God of thy father: fear not to go down into Egypt; for I will there make of thee a great nation:
4I will go down with thee into Egypt; and I will also surely bring thee up again: and Joseph shall put his hand upon thine eyes.
5And Jacob rose up from Beer-sheba: and the sons of Israel carried Jacob their father, and their little ones, and their wives, in the wagons which Pharaoh had sent to carry him.
6And they took their cattle, and their goods, which they had gotten in the land of Canaan, and came into Egypt, Jacob, and all his seed with him:
7His sons, and his sons’ sons with him, his daughters, and his sons’ daughters, and all his seed brought he with him into Egypt.
8And these are the names of the children of Israel, which came into Egypt, Jacob and his sons: Reuben, Jacob’s firstborn.
9And the sons of Reuben; Hanoch, and Phallu, and Hezron, and Carmi.
10And the sons of Simeon; Jemuel, and Jamin, and Ohad, and Jachin, and Zohar, and Shaul the son of a Canaanitish woman.
11And the sons of Levi; Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
12And the sons of Judah; Er, and Onan, and Shelah, and Pharez, and Zerah: but Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan. And the sons of Pharez were Hezron and Hamul.
13And the sons of Issachar; Tola, and Phuvah, and Job, and Shimron.
14And the sons of Zebulun; Sered, and Elon, and Jahleel.
15These be the sons of Leah, which she bare unto Jacob in Padan-aram, with his daughter Dinah: all the souls of his sons and his daughters were thirty and three.
16And the sons of Gad; Ziphion, and Haggi, Shuni, and Ezbon, Eri, and Arodi, and Areli.

21And the sons of Benjamin were Belah, and Becher, and Ashbel, Gera, and Naaman, Ehi, and Rosh, Muppim, and Huppim, and Ard.
22These are the sons of Rachel, which were born to Jacob: all the souls were fourteen.
23And the sons of Dan; Hushim.
24And the sons of Naphtali; Jahzeel, and Guni, and Jezer, and Shillem.
25These are the sons of Bilhah, which Laban gave unto Rachel his daughter, and she bare these unto Jacob: all the souls were seven.
26All the souls that came with Jacob into Egypt, which came out of his loins, besides Jacob’s sons’ wives, all the souls were threescore and six;
27And the sons of Joseph, which were born him in Egypt, were two souls: all the souls of the house of Jacob, which came into Egypt, were threescore and ten.
28And he sent Judah before him unto Joseph, to direct his face unto Goshen; and they came into the land of Goshen.
29And Joseph made ready his chariot, and went up to meet Israel his father, to Goshen, and presented himself unto him; and he fell on his neck, and wept on his neck a good while.
30And Israel said unto Joseph, Now let me die, since I have seen thy face, because thou art yet alive.
31And Joseph said unto his brethren, and unto his father’s house, I will go up, and shew Pharaoh, and say unto him, My brethren, and my father’s house, which were in the land of Canaan, are come unto me;
32And the men are shepherds, for their trade hath been to feed cattle; and they have brought their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have.
33And it shall come to pass, when Pharaoh shall call you, and shall say, What is your occupation?
34That ye shall say, Thy servants’ trade hath been about cattle from our youth even until now, both we, and also our fathers: that ye may dwell in the land of Goshen; for every shepherd is an abomination unto the Egyptians.

1Israel traveled with all that he had, and came to Beersheba, and offered sacrifices to the God of his father, Isaac.
2God spoke to Israel in the visions of the night, and said, “Jacob, Jacob!” He said, “Here I am.”
3He said, “I am God, the God of your father. Don’t be afraid to go down into Egypt, for there I will make of you a great nation.
4I will go down with you into Egypt. I will also surely bring you up again. Joseph’s hand will close your eyes.”
5Jacob rose up from Beersheba, and the sons of Israel carried Jacob, their father, their little ones, and their wives, in the wagons which Pharaoh had sent to carry him.
6They took their livestock, and their goods, which they had gotten in the land of Canaan, and came into Egypt—Jacob, and all his offspring with him,
7his sons, and his sons’ sons with him, his daughters, and his sons’ daughters, and he brought all his offspring with him into Egypt.
8These are the names of the children of Israel, who came into Egypt, Jacob and his sons: Reuben, Jacob’s firstborn.

29Joseph prepared his chariot, and went up to meet Israel, his father, in Goshen. He presented himself to him, and fell on his neck, and wept on his neck a good while.
30Israel said to Joseph, “Now let me die, since I have seen your face, that you are still alive.”
31Joseph said to his brothers, and to his father’s house, “I will go up, and speak with Pharaoh, and will tell him, ‘My brothers, and my father’s house, who were in the land of Canaan, have come to me.
32These men are shepherds, for they have been keepers of livestock, and they have brought their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have.’
33It will happen, when Pharaoh summons you, and will say, ‘What is your occupation?’
34that you shall say, ‘Your servants have been keepers of livestock from our youth even until now, both we, and our fathers:’ that you may dwell in the land of Goshen; for every shepherd is an abomination to the Egyptians.”
