1E Israel hizo su viaje con todo lo que tenía, y vino a Beerseba, donde hizo ofrendas al Dios de su padre Isaac.
2Y dijo Dios a Israel en visión nocturna, Jacob, Jacob. Y él dijo: Aquí estoy.
3Y dijo: Dios, el Dios de tu padre, desciende a Egipto sin temor, porque allí te haré una gran nación;
4Bajaré contigo a Egipto, y veré que vuelvas otra vez, y en tu muerte José pondrá tus manos sobre tus ojos.
5Entonces Jacob pasó de Beer-seba; y los hijos de Jacob tomaron a su padre, a sus pequeños y a sus mujeres en los carros que el Faraón había enviado para ellos.
6Y tomaron sus ganados y todos los bienes que habían adquirido en la tierra de Canaán, y vinieron a Egipto, Jacob y toda su descendencia:
7Sus hijos, los hijos de sus hijos, sus hijas, los hijos de sus hijas y toda su familia lo llevaron consigo a Egipto.
8Estos son los nombres de los hijos de Israel que entraron en Egipto, Jacob y todos sus hijos: Rubén, el hijo mayor de Jacob;
9Y los hijos de Rubén: Hanoc, Falu, Hezrón y Carmi;
10Y los hijos de Simeón: Jemuel, Jamín, Ohad, Jaquín, Zohar, y Saúl, hijo de mujer de Canaán;
11Y los hijos de Leví: Gersón, Coat, y Merari;
12Y los hijos de Judá: Er, y Onán, y Sela, y Fares, y Zara; mas Er y Onán habían venido a la muerte en la tierra de Canaán; y los hijos de Fares fueron Hezrón y Hamul.
13Y los hijos de Isacar: Tola, Fúa, Job, y Simrón;
14Y los hijos de Zabulón: Sered, Elón, y Jahleel;
15Todos estos, junto con su hija Dina, fueron los hijos de Lea, a quien Jacob tuvo por ella en Padan-aram; tenían treinta y tres en número.
16Y los hijos de Gad: Zifión, Hagui, Suni, Ezbón, Eri, Arodi, y Areli;
17Y los hijos de Aser: Imna, Isua, Isui, Bería, y Sara su hermana; y los hijos de Bería: Heber y Malquiel.
18Estos son los hijos de Zilpa, que Labán dio a su hija Lea, y Jacob tuvo estos dieciséis hijos con ella.
19Los hijos de la mujer de Jacob, Raquel: José y Benjamín.
20Y José tuvo a Manasés y a Efraín en la tierra de Egipto, por Asenat, hija de Poti-fera, sacerdote de On.
21Y los hijos de Benjamín fueron Bela, Bequer, Asbel, Gera, Naamán, Ehi, Ros, Mupim, Hupim y Ard.
22Todos estos fueron los hijos de Raquel, que Jacob tenía por ella, catorce personas.
23Y el hijo de Dan fue Hushim.
24Y los hijos de Neftalí: Jahzeel, Guni, Jezer, y Silem.
25Estos fueron los hijos de Bilha, a quien Labán dio a su hija Raquel, siete personas.
26Todas las personas que vinieron con Jacob a Egipto, la descendencia de su cuerpo, fueron sesenta y seis, sin tomar en cuenta las mujeres de los hijos de Jacob.
27Y los hijos de José que tuvo en Egipto fueron dos. Setenta personas de la familia de Jacob vinieron a Egipto.
28Ahora él había enviado a Judá antes que él a Gosén, para recibir noticias de José; y así llegaron a la tierra de Goshen.
29Y José preparó su carruaje y fue a Gosén para la reunión con su padre; y cuando llegó delante de él, puso sus brazos alrededor de su cuello, llorando.
30Y dijo Israel a José: Ahora que te he visto volver a vivir, estoy listo para la muerte.
31Y dijo José a sus hermanos y al pueblo de su padre: iré, y daré las nuevas a Faraón, y le diré: Mis hermanos y el pueblo de mi padre, de la tierra de Canaán, vinieron a mí;
32Y estos hombres son cuidadores de ovejas y dueños de ganado, y tienen consigo sus rebaños y sus vacas y todo lo que tienen.
33Cuando Faraón te llame y pregunte: ¿Cuál es tu ocupación?
34Debes decir: tus siervos han sido cuidadores de ganado desde nuestros días hasta ahora, como nuestros padres; de esta manera, ustedes podrán tener la tierra de Goshen por ustedes mismos; porque los que guardan las ovejas son inmundos a los ojos de los egipcios.

1Y PARTIÓSE Israel con todo lo que tenía, y vino á Beer-seba, y ofreció sacrificios al Dios de su padre Isaac.
2Y habló Dios á Israel en visiones de noche, y dijo: Jacob, Jacob. Y él respondió: Heme aquí.
3Y dijo: Yo soy Dios, el Dios de tu padre; no temas de descender á Egipto, porque yo te pondré allí en gran gente.
4Yo descenderé contigo á Egipto, y yo también te haré volver: y José pondrá su mano sobre tus ojos.
5Y levantóse Jacob de Beer-seba; y tomaron los hijos de Israel á su padre Jacob, y á sus niños, y á sus mujeres, en los carros que Faraón había enviado para llevarlo.
6Y tomaron sus ganados, y su hacienda que había adquirido en la tierra de Canaán, y viniéronse á Egipto, Jacob, y toda su simiente consigo;
7Sus hijos, y los hijos de sus hijos consigo; sus hijas, y las hijas de sus hijos, y á toda su simiente trajo consigo á Egipto.
8Y estos son los nombres de los hijos de Israel, que entraron en Egipto, Jacob y sus hijos: Rubén, el primogénito de Jacob.

25Estos fueron los hijos de Bilha, la que dió Labán á Rachêl su hija, y parió estos á Jacob; todas siete almas.
26Todas las personas que vinieron con Jacob á Egipto, procedentes de sus lomos, sin las mujeres de los hijos de Jacob, todas las personas fueron sesenta y seis.
27Y los hijos de José, que le nacieron en Egipto, dos personas. Todas las almas de la casa de Jacob, que entraron en Egipto, fueron setenta.
28Y envió á Judá delante de sí á José, para que le viniese á ver á Gosén; y llegaron á la tierra de Gosén.
29Y José unció su carro y vino á recibir á Israel su padre á Gosén; y se manifestó á él, y echóse sobre su cuello, y lloró sobre su cuello bastante.
30Entonces Israel dijo á José: Muera yo ahora, ya que he visto tu rostro, pues aun vives.
31Y José dijo á sus hermanos, y á la casa de su padre: Subiré y haré saber á Faraón, y diréle: Mis hermanos y la casa de mi padre, que estaban en la tierra de Canaán, han venido á mí;
32Y los hombres son pastores de ovejas, porque son hombres ganaderos: y han traído sus ovejas y sus vacas, y todo lo que tenían.
33Y cuando Faraón os llamare y dijere: ¿cuál es vuestro oficio?
34Entonces diréis: Hombres de ganadería han sido tus siervos desde nuestra mocedad hasta ahora, nosotros y nuestros padres; á fin que moréis en la tierra de Gosén, porque los Egipcios abominan todo pastor de ovejas.

1And Israel took his journey with all that he had, and came to Beer-sheba, and offered sacrifices unto the God of his father Isaac.
2And God spake unto Israel in the visions of the night, and said, Jacob, Jacob. And he said, Here am I.
3And he said, I am God, the God of thy father: fear not to go down into Egypt; for I will there make of thee a great nation:
4I will go down with thee into Egypt; and I will also surely bring thee up again: and Joseph shall put his hand upon thine eyes.
5And Jacob rose up from Beer-sheba: and the sons of Israel carried Jacob their father, and their little ones, and their wives, in the wagons which Pharaoh had sent to carry him.
6And they took their cattle, and their goods, which they had gotten in the land of Canaan, and came into Egypt, Jacob, and all his seed with him:
7His sons, and his sons’ sons with him, his daughters, and his sons’ daughters, and all his seed brought he with him into Egypt.
8And these are the names of the children of Israel, which came into Egypt, Jacob and his sons: Reuben, Jacob’s firstborn.
9And the sons of Reuben; Hanoch, and Phallu, and Hezron, and Carmi.
10And the sons of Simeon; Jemuel, and Jamin, and Ohad, and Jachin, and Zohar, and Shaul the son of a Canaanitish woman.
11And the sons of Levi; Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
12And the sons of Judah; Er, and Onan, and Shelah, and Pharez, and Zerah: but Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan. And the sons of Pharez were Hezron and Hamul.
13And the sons of Issachar; Tola, and Phuvah, and Job, and Shimron.
14And the sons of Zebulun; Sered, and Elon, and Jahleel.
15These be the sons of Leah, which she bare unto Jacob in Padan-aram, with his daughter Dinah: all the souls of his sons and his daughters were thirty and three.
16And the sons of Gad; Ziphion, and Haggi, Shuni, and Ezbon, Eri, and Arodi, and Areli.
17And the sons of Asher; Jimnah, and Ishuah, and Isui, and Beriah, and Serah their sister: and the sons of Beriah; Heber, and Malchiel.
18These are the sons of Zilpah, whom Laban gave to Leah his daughter, and these she bare unto Jacob, even sixteen souls.
19The sons of Rachel Jacob’s wife; Joseph, and Benjamin.
20And unto Joseph in the land of Egypt were born Manasseh and Ephraim, which Asenath the daughter of Poti-pherah priest of On bare unto him.
21And the sons of Benjamin were Belah, and Becher, and Ashbel, Gera, and Naaman, Ehi, and Rosh, Muppim, and Huppim, and Ard.
22These are the sons of Rachel, which were born to Jacob: all the souls were fourteen.
23And the sons of Dan; Hushim.
24And the sons of Naphtali; Jahzeel, and Guni, and Jezer, and Shillem.
25These are the sons of Bilhah, which Laban gave unto Rachel his daughter, and she bare these unto Jacob: all the souls were seven.
26All the souls that came with Jacob into Egypt, which came out of his loins, besides Jacob’s sons’ wives, all the souls were threescore and six;
27And the sons of Joseph, which were born him in Egypt, were two souls: all the souls of the house of Jacob, which came into Egypt, were threescore and ten.
28And he sent Judah before him unto Joseph, to direct his face unto Goshen; and they came into the land of Goshen.
29And Joseph made ready his chariot, and went up to meet Israel his father, to Goshen, and presented himself unto him; and he fell on his neck, and wept on his neck a good while.
30And Israel said unto Joseph, Now let me die, since I have seen thy face, because thou art yet alive.
31And Joseph said unto his brethren, and unto his father’s house, I will go up, and shew Pharaoh, and say unto him, My brethren, and my father’s house, which were in the land of Canaan, are come unto me;
32And the men are shepherds, for their trade hath been to feed cattle; and they have brought their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have.
33And it shall come to pass, when Pharaoh shall call you, and shall say, What is your occupation?
34That ye shall say, Thy servants’ trade hath been about cattle from our youth even until now, both we, and also our fathers: that ye may dwell in the land of Goshen; for every shepherd is an abomination unto the Egyptians.

1Israel traveled with all that he had, and came to Beersheba, and offered sacrifices to the God of his father, Isaac.
2God spoke to Israel in the visions of the night, and said, “Jacob, Jacob!” He said, “Here I am.”
3He said, “I am God, the God of your father. Don’t be afraid to go down into Egypt, for there I will make of you a great nation.
4I will go down with you into Egypt. I will also surely bring you up again. Joseph’s hand will close your eyes.”
5Jacob rose up from Beersheba, and the sons of Israel carried Jacob, their father, their little ones, and their wives, in the wagons which Pharaoh had sent to carry him.
6They took their livestock, and their goods, which they had gotten in the land of Canaan, and came into Egypt—Jacob, and all his offspring with him,
7his sons, and his sons’ sons with him, his daughters, and his sons’ daughters, and he brought all his offspring with him into Egypt.
8These are the names of the children of Israel, who came into Egypt, Jacob and his sons: Reuben, Jacob’s firstborn.

28Jacob sent Judah before him to Joseph, to show the way before him to Goshen, and they came into the land of Goshen.
29Joseph prepared his chariot, and went up to meet Israel, his father, in Goshen. He presented himself to him, and fell on his neck, and wept on his neck a good while.
30Israel said to Joseph, “Now let me die, since I have seen your face, that you are still alive.”
31Joseph said to his brothers, and to his father’s house, “I will go up, and speak with Pharaoh, and will tell him, ‘My brothers, and my father’s house, who were in the land of Canaan, have come to me.
32These men are shepherds, for they have been keepers of livestock, and they have brought their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have.’
33It will happen, when Pharaoh summons you, and will say, ‘What is your occupation?’
34that you shall say, ‘Your servants have been keepers of livestock from our youth even until now, both we, and our fathers:’ that you may dwell in the land of Goshen; for every shepherd is an abomination to the Egyptians.”
