Ya no podía José contenerse más en presencia como estaba de mucha gente; por lo que mandó que todos se retirasen, para que ningún extraño asistiese al mutuo reconocimiento.
NO podía ya José contenerse delante de todos los que estaban al lado suyo, y clamó: Haced salir de conmigo á todos. Y no quedó nadie con él, al darse á conocer José á sus hermanos.
Then Joseph could not refrain himself before all them that stood by him; and he cried, Cause every man to go out from me. And there stood no man with him, while Joseph made himself known unto his brethren.

And Joseph said unto his brethren, I am Joseph; doth my father yet live? And his brethren could not answer him; for they were troubled at his presence.

Mas él, con semblante apacible: Llegaos a mí, les dijo; y habiéndose ellos acercado, añadió: Yo soy José vuestro hermano, a quien vendisteis para ser traído a Egipto.
Entonces dijo José á sus hermanos: Llegaos ahora á mí. Y ellos se llegaron. Y él dijo: Yo soy José vuestro hermano el que vendisteis para Egipto.
And Joseph said unto his brethren, Come near to me, I pray you. And they came near. And he said, I am Joseph your brother, whom ye sold into Egypt.

No temáis, ni os desconsoléis por haberme vendido para estas regiones; porque por vuestro bien dispuso Dios que viniese yo antes que vosotros a Egipto.
Ahora pues, no os entristezcáis, ni os pese de haberme vendido acá; que para preservación de vida me envió Dios delante de vosotros:
Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you to preserve life.

Porque dos años ha que comenzó la carestía en el país, y aún restan cinco en que no habrá siembra, ni siega.

For these two years hath the famine been in the land: and yet there are five years, in the which there shall neither be earing nor harvest.

Ellos, para convencerle, le relataban todo lo sucedido. Mas cuando hubo visto los carros y todo el aparato de las cosas remitidas, vivió su espíritu,
