No podía ya José contenerse delante de todos los que estaban al lado suyo, y clamó: Hagan salir de «mi presencia»* a «todos.»* Y no quedó «nadie»* con él, al darse a conocer José a sus hermanos.

Then Joseph could not refrain himself before all them that stood by him; and he cried, Cause every man to go out from me. And there stood no man with him, while Joseph made himself known unto his brethren.

Then Joseph couldn’t control himself before all those who stood before him, and he called out, “Cause everyone to go out from me!” No one else stood with him, while Joseph made himself known to his brothers.

Entonces se dio «a llorar a gritos;»* y oyeron los egipcios, y oyó también la casa de Faraón.

And he wept aloud: and the Egyptians and the house of Pharaoh heard.

Y dijo José a sus hermanos: Yo soy José; ¿vive aún mi padre? Y sus hermanos no pudieron responderle, porque estaban turbados †atormentados, agobiados, alterados delante de él.

And Joseph said unto his brethren, I am Joseph; doth my father yet live? And his brethren could not answer him; for they were troubled at his presence.

Joseph said to his brothers, “I am Joseph! Does my father still live?” His brothers couldn’t answer him; for they were terrified at his presence.

Entonces dijo José a sus hermanos: Acérquense ahora a mí. Y ellos se acercaron. Y él dijo: Yo soy José su †de ustedes hermano, el que vendieron para Egipto.

And Joseph said unto his brethren, Come near to me, I pray you. And they came near. And he said, I am Joseph your brother, whom ye sold into Egypt.

Joseph said to his brothers, “Come near to me, please.” They came near. He said, “I am Joseph, your brother, whom you sold into Egypt.

Ahora, pues, no se entristezcan, ni «se pese»* de haberme vendido acá; porque para preservación de vida me envió Dios delante de ustedes.

Ahora pues, no os entristezcáis, ni os pese de haberme vendido acá; que para preservación de vida me envió Dios delante de vosotros:

Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you to preserve life.

Now don’t be grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that you sold me here, for God sent me before you to preserve life.

Pues ya ha habido dos años de hambre en medio de la tierra, y aún quedan cinco años en los cuales ni habrá arada ni siega.

Que ya ha habido dos años de hambre en medio de la tierra, y aun quedan cinco años en que ni habrá arada ni siega.

For these two years hath the famine been in the land: and yet there are five years, in the which there shall neither be earing nor harvest.

For these two years the famine has been in the land, and there are yet five years, in which there will be no plowing and no harvest.

Y Dios me envió delante de ustedes, para preservarles posteridad sobre la tierra, y para darles vida por medio de gran liberación.

Y Dios me envió delante de vosotros, para que vosotros quedaseis en la tierra, y para daros vida por medio de grande salvamento.

And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance.

God sent me before you to preserve for you a remnant in the earth, and to save you alive by a great deliverance.

Así, pues, no me enviaron acá ustedes, sino Dios, que me ha puesto por padre de Faraón y por señor de toda su casa, y por gobernador en toda la tierra de Egipto.

So now it was not you that sent me hither, but God: and he hath made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.

So now it wasn’t you who sent me here, but God, and he has made me a father to Pharaoh, lord of all his house, and ruler over all the land of Egypt.

Dense prisa, vayan a mi padre y díganle: Así dice tu hijo José: Dios me ha puesto por señor de todo Egipto; ven a mí, no te detengas.

Daos priesa, id á mi padre y decidle: Así dice tu hijo José: Dios me ha puesto por señor de todo Egipto; ven á mí, no te detengas:

Haste ye, and go up to my father, and say unto him, Thus saith thy son Joseph, God hath made me lord of all Egypt: come down unto me, tarry not:

Hurry, and go up to my father, and tell him, ‘This is what your son Joseph says, “God has made me lord of all Egypt. Come down to me. Don’t wait.

Habitarás en la tierra de Gosén, y estarás cerca de mí, tú y tus hijos, y los hijos de tus hijos, tus ganados y tus vacas, y todo lo que tienes.

And thou shalt dwell in the land of Goshen, and thou shalt be near unto me, thou, and thy children, and thy children’s children, and thy flocks, and thy herds, and all that thou hast:

You shall dwell in the land of Goshen, and you will be near to me, you, your children, your children’s children, your flocks, your herds, and all that you have.

Y allí te alimentaré, pues aún quedan cinco años de hambre, para que no perezcas de pobreza tú y tu casa, y todo lo que tienes.

And there will I nourish thee; for yet there are five years of famine; lest thou, and thy household, and all that thou hast, come to poverty.

He aquí, sus †de ustedes ojos ven, y los ojos de mi hermano Benjamín, que mi boca les habla.

And, behold, your eyes see, and the eyes of my brother Benjamin, that it is my mouth that speaketh unto you.

Harán, pues, saber a mi padre toda mi gloria en Egipto, y todo lo que han visto; y dense prisa, y traigan a mi padre acá.

And ye shall tell my father of all my glory in Egypt, and of all that ye have seen; and ye shall haste and bring down my father hither.

Y se echó sobre el cuello de Benjamín su hermano, y lloró; y también Benjamín lloró sobre su cuello.

And he fell upon his brother Benjamin’s neck, and wept; and Benjamin wept upon his neck.

Y se oyó «la noticia»* en la casa de Faraón, diciendo: Los hermanos de José han venido. Y esto agradó en los ojos de Faraón y de sus esclavos †siervos, sirvientes.

Y oyóse la noticia en la casa de Faraón, diciendo: Los hermanos de José han venido. Y plugo en los ojos de Faraón y de sus siervos.

And the fame thereof was heard in Pharaoh’s house, saying, Joseph’s brethren are come: and it pleased Pharaoh well, and his servants.

The report of it was heard in Pharaoh’s house, saying, “Joseph’s brothers have come.” It pleased Pharaoh well, and his servants.

Y dijo Faraón a José: Di a tus hermanos: Hagan esto: carguen sus †de ustedes bestias, y vayan, vuelvan a la tierra de Canaán;

Y dijo Faraón á José: Di á tus hermanos: Haced esto: cargad vuestras bestias, é id, volved á la tierra de Canaán;

And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Say unto thy brethren, This do ye; lade your beasts, and go, get you unto the land of Canaan;

Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Tell your brothers, ‘Do this: Load your animals, and go, travel to the land of Canaan.

y tomen a su †de ustedes padre y a sus †de ustedes familias y vengan a mí, porque yo les daré lo bueno de la tierra de Egipto, y comerán de la abundancia de la tierra.

Y tomad á vuestro padre y vuestras familias, y venid á mí, que yo os daré lo bueno de la tierra de Egipto y comeréis la grosura de la tierra.

And take your father and your households, and come unto me: and I will give you the good of the land of Egypt, and ye shall eat the fat of the land.

Y tú manda: Hagan esto: tómense de la tierra de Egipto carros para sus †de ustedes niños y sus †de ustedes mujeres, y traigan a su †de ustedes padre, y vengan.

Now thou art commanded, this do ye; take you wagons out of the land of Egypt for your little ones, and for your wives, and bring your father, and come.

Y no se preocupen por sus †de ustedes enseres, porque la riqueza de la tierra de Egipto será suya †de ustedes.

Y no se os dé nada de vuestras alhajas, porque el bien de la tierra de Egipto será vuestro.

Also regard not your stuff; for the good of all the land of Egypt is yours.

Also, don’t concern yourselves about your belongings, for the good of all the land of Egypt is yours.”

Y lo hicieron así los hijos de Israel; y les dio José carros «conforme a la orden de»* Faraón, y les suministró víveres para el camino.

E hiciéronlo así los hijos de Israel: y dióles José carros conforme á la orden de Faraón, y suministróles víveres para el camino.

And the children of Israel did so: and Joseph gave them wagons, according to the commandment of Pharaoh, and gave them provision for the way.

A «cada uno de»* todos ellos dio mudas de vestidos, y a Benjamín dio trescientas «piezas de plata,»* y cinco mudas de vestidos.

To all of them he gave each man changes of raiment; but to Benjamin he gave three hundred pieces of silver, and five changes of raiment.

Y a su padre envió esto: diez asnos cargados de lo mejor de Egipto, y diez asnas cargadas de trigo, y pan y comida, para su padre en el camino.

And to his father he sent after this manner; ten asses laden with the good things of Egypt, and ten she asses laden with corn and bread and meat for his father by the way.

Y despidió a sus hermanos, y ellos se fueron. Y él les dijo: No riñan por el camino.

So he sent his brethren away, and they departed: and he said unto them, See that ye fall not out by the way.

Y subieron de Egipto, y llegaron a la tierra de Canaán a Jacob su padre.

Y le «dieron las nuevas,»* diciendo: José vive aún; y él es señor en toda la tierra de Egipto. Y el corazón de Jacob se afligió, porque no los creía.

And told him, saying, Joseph is yet alive, and he is governor over all the land of Egypt. And Jacob’s heart fainted, for he believed them not.

They told him, saying, “Joseph is still alive, and he is ruler over all the land of Egypt.” His heart fainted, for he didn’t believe them.

Y ellos le contaron todas las palabras de José, que él les había hablado; y viendo Jacob los carros que José enviaba para llevarlo, su espíritu revivió.

And they told him all the words of Joseph, which he had said unto them: and when he saw the wagons which Joseph had sent to carry him, the spirit of Jacob their father revived:
