Und als er sie ergriff, redete er mit ihnen solche Worte.

And they said unto him, Wherefore saith my lord these words? God forbid that thy servants should do according to this thing:

Siehe, das Geld, das wir fanden oben in unsern Sacken, haben wir wiedergebracht zu dir aus dem Lande Kanaan. Und wie sollten wir denn aus deines Herrn Hause gestohlen haben Silber Oder Gold.
He aquí, el dinero que hallamos en la boca de nuestros costales, te lo volvimos á traer desde la tierra de Canaán; ¿cómo, pues, habíamos de hurtar de casa de tu señor plata ni oro?

Bei welchem er funden wird unter deinen Knechten, der sei des Todes; dazu wollen auch wir meines Herrn Knechte sein.

And he said, Now also let it be according unto your words: he with whom it is found shall be my servant; and ye shall be blameless.

And Joseph said unto them, What deed is this that ye have done? wot ye not that such a man as I can certainly divine?

Juda sprach: Was sollen wirsagen meinem Herrn, Oder wie sollen wir reden, und was konnen wir uns rechtfertigen? Gott hat die Missetat deiner Knechte funden. Siehe da, wir und der, bei dem der Becher funden ist, sind meines Herrn Knechte.
Entonces dijo Judá: ¿Qué diremos á mi señor? ¿qué hablaremos? ¿ó con qué nos justificaremos? Dios ha hallado la maldad de tus siervos: he aquí, nosotros somos siervos de mi señor, nosotros, y también aquél en cuyo poder fué hallada la copa.
And Judah said, What shall we say unto my lord? what shall we speak? or how shall we clear ourselves? God hath found out the iniquity of thy servants: behold, we are my lord’s servants, both we, and he also with whom the cup is found.
Judah said, “What will we tell my lord? What will we speak? How will we clear ourselves? God has found out the iniquity of your servants. Behold, we are my lord’s slaves, both we and he also in whose hand the cup is found.”
Er aber sprach: Das sei feme von mir solches zu tun! Der Mann, bei dem der Becher funden ist, soil mein Knecht sein; ihr aber ziehet hinauf mit Frieden zu eurem Vater.
Y él respondió: Nunca yo tal haga: el varón en cuyo poder fué hallada la copa, él será mi siervo; vosotros id en paz á vuestro padre.
And he said, God forbid that I should do so: but the man in whose hand the cup is found, he shall be my servant; and as for you, get you up in peace unto your father.
He said, “Far be it from me that I should do so. The man in whose hand the cup is found, he will be my slave; but as for you, go up in peace to your father.”
Da trat Juda zu ihm und sprach: Mein Herr, laft deinen Knecht ein Wort reden vor deinen Ohren, mein Herr; und dein Zorn ergrimme nicht uber deinen Knecht; denn du bist wie ein Pharao.
Entonces Judá se llegó á él, y dijo: Ay señor mío, ruégote que hable tu siervo una palabra en oídos de mi señor, y no se encienda tu enojo contra tu siervo, pues que tú eres como Faraón.
Then Judah came near unto him, and said, Oh my lord, let thy servant, I pray thee, speak a word in my lord’s ears, and let not thine anger burn against thy servant: for thou art even as Pharaoh.
Then Judah came near to him, and said, “Oh, my lord, please let your servant speak a word in my lord’s ears, and don’t let your anger burn against your servant; for you are even as Pharaoh.
Mein Herrfragte seine Knechte und sprach: Habt ihr auch einen Vater Oder Bruder?
Mi señor preguntó á sus siervos, diciendo: ¿Tenéis padre ó hermano?
My lord asked his servants, saying, Have ye a father, or a brother?

Da antworteten wir: Wir haben einen Vater, der ist alt, und einen jungen Knaben, in seinem Alter geboren; und sein Bruder ist tot, und er ist allein uberblieben von seiner Mutter, und sein Vater hat ihn lieb.

Wir aber antworteten meinem Herrn: Der Knabe kann nicht von seinem Vater kommen; wo er von ihm kame, würde er sterben.
Y nosotros dijimos á mi señor: El mozo no puede dejar á su padre, porque si le dejare, su padre morirá.
And we said unto my lord, The lad cannot leave his father: for if he should leave his father, his father would die.
We said to my lord, ‘The boy can’t leave his father, for if he should leave his father, his father would die.’
Da sprachst du zu deinen Knechten: Wo euer jungster Bruder nicht mit euch herkommt, sollt ihr mein Angesicht nicht mehr sehen.
Y dijiste á tus siervos: Si vuestro hermano menor no descendiere con vosotros, no veáis más mi rostro.
And thou saidst unto thy servants, Except your youngest brother come down with you, ye shall see my face no more.
You said to your servants, ‘Unless your youngest brother comes down with you, you will see my face no more.’
Da zogen wir hinauf zu deinem Knechte, meinem Vater, und sagten ihm an meines Herrn Rede.

And we said, We cannot go down: if our youngest brother be with us, then will we go down: for we may not see the man’s face, except our youngest brother be with us.

Da sprach dein Knecht, mein Vater, zu uns: Ihr wisset, daß mir mein Weib zween Sohne geboren hat.

And thy servant my father said unto us, Ye know that my wife bare me two sons:

Einer ging hinaus von mir, und man sagte, er ist zerrissen; und habe ihn nicht gesehen bisher.
Y el uno salió de conmigo, y pienso de cierto que fué despedazado, y hasta ahora no le he visto;
And the one went out from me, and I said, Surely he is torn in pieces; and I saw him not since:

Werdet ihr diesen auch von mir nehmen, und ihm ein Unfall widerfahret, so werdet ihr meine grauen Haare mit Jammer hinunter in die Grube bringen.
Y si tomareis también éste de delante de mí, y le aconteciere algún desastre, haréis descender mis canas con dolor á la sepultura.
And if ye take this also from me, and mischief befall him, ye shall bring down my gray hairs with sorrow to the grave.
If you take this one also from me, and harm happens to him, you will bring down my gray hairs with sorrow to Sheol.’
Nun, so ich heimkame zu deinem Knechte, meinem Vater, und der Knabe ware nicht mit uns, weil seine Seele an dieses Seele hanget,
Ahora, pues, cuando llegare yo á tu siervo mi padre, y el mozo no fuere conmigo, como su alma está ligada al alma de él,
Now therefore when I come to thy servant my father, and the lad be not with us; seeing that his life is bound up in the lad’s life;
Now therefore when I come to your servant my father, and the boy is not with us; since his life is bound up in the boy’s life;
so wird's geschehen, wenn er siehet, daß der Knabe nicht da ist, daß er stirbt; so würden wir, deine Knechte, die grauen Haare deines Knechts; unsers Vaters, mit Herzeleid in die Grube bringen:
Sucederá que cuando no vea al mozo, morirá: y tus siervos harán descender las canas de tu siervo nuestro padre con dolor á la sepultura.
It shall come to pass, when he seeth that the lad is not with us, that he will die: and thy servants shall bring down the gray hairs of thy servant our father with sorrow to the grave.
it will happen, when he sees that the boy is no more, that he will die. Your servants will bring down the gray hairs of your servant, our father, with sorrow to Sheol.
Denn ich, dein Knecht, bin Burge worden fur den Knaben gegen meinen Vater und sprach: Bringe ich ihn dir nicht wieder, so will ich mein Leben lang die Schuld tragen.
Como tu siervo salió por fiador del mozo con mi padre, diciendo: Si no te lo volviere, entonces yo seré culpable para mi padre todos los días;
For thy servant became surety for the lad unto my father, saying, If I bring him not unto thee, then I shall bear the blame to my father for ever.
For your servant became collateral for the boy to my father, saying, ‘If I don’t bring him to you, then I will bear the blame to my father forever.’
Darum laft deinen Knecht hie bleiben an des Knaben Statt, zum Knechte meines Herrn, und den Knaben mit seinen Brudern hinaufziehen.
Ruégote por tanto que quede ahora tu siervo por el mozo por siervo de mi señor, y que el mozo vaya con sus hermanos.
Now therefore, I pray thee, let thy servant abide instead of the lad a bondman to my lord; and let the lad go up with his brethren.

Denn wie soil ich hinaufziehen zu meinem Vater, wenn der Knabe nicht mit mir ist? Ich wurde den Jammer sehen müssen, der meinem Vater begegnen würde.
Porque ¿cómo iré yo á mi padre sin el mozo? No podré, por no ver el mal que sobrevendrá á mi padre.
For how shall I go up to my father, and the lad be not with me? lest peradventure I see the evil that shall come on my father.
