E respondeu Judá, dizendo: Aquele homem nos advertiu com ânimo decidido, dizendo: Não vereis meu rosto sem vosso irmão convosco.

And Judah spake unto him, saying, The man did solemnly protest unto us, saying, Ye shall not see my face, except your brother be with you.

Se enviares a nosso irmão conosco, desceremos e te compraremos alimento:

Porém se não lhe enviares, não desceremos: porque aquele homem nos disse: Não vereis meu rosto sem vosso irmão convosco.

But if thou wilt not send him, we will not go down: for the man said unto us, Ye shall not see my face, except your brother be with you.

E disse Israel: Por que me fizestes tanto mal, declarando ao homem que tínheis mais irmão?
Y dijo Israel: ¿Por qué me hicisteis tanto mal, declarando al varón que teníais más hermano?
And Israel said, Wherefore dealt ye so ill with me, as to tell the man whether ye had yet a brother?
Israel said, “Why did you treat me so badly, telling the man that you had another brother?”
E eles responderam: Aquele homem nos perguntou expressamente por nós, e por nossa parentela, dizendo: Vive ainda vosso pai? Tendes outro irmão? E lhe declaramos conforme estas palavras. Podíamos nós saber que havia de dizer: Fazei vir a vosso irmão?
Y ellos respondieron: Aquel varón nos preguntó expresamente por nosotros, y por nuestra parentela, diciendo: ¿Vive aún vuestro padre? ¿tenéis otro hermano? y declarámosle conforme á estas palabras. ¿Podíamos nosotros saber que había de decir: Haced venir á vuestro hermano?
And they said, The man asked us straitly of our state, and of our kindred, saying, Is your father yet alive? have ye another brother? and we told him according to the tenor of these words: could we certainly know that he would say, Bring your brother down?
They said, “The man asked directly concerning ourselves, and concerning our relatives, saying, ‘Is your father still alive? Have you another brother?’ We just answered his questions. Is there any way we could know that he would say, ‘Bring your brother down’?”
Então Judá disse a Israel seu pai: Envia ao jovem comigo, e nos levantaremos e iremos, a fim que vivamos e não morramos nós, e tu, e nossos filhos.
Entonces Judá dijo á Israel su padre: Envía al mozo conmigo, y nos levantaremos é iremos, á fin que vivamos y no muramos nosotros, y tú, y nuestros niños.
And Judah said unto Israel his father, Send the lad with me, and we will arise and go; that we may live, and not die, both we, and thou, and also our little ones.

Eu sou fiador dele; a mim me pedirás conta dele; se eu não o devolver a ti e o puser diante de ti, serei para ti o culpado todos os dias:
Yo lo fío; á mí me pedirás cuenta de él: si yo no te lo volviere y lo pusiere delante de ti, seré para ti el culpante todos los días:
I will be surety for him; of my hand shalt thou require him: if I bring him not unto thee, and set him before thee, then let me bear the blame for ever:
I’ll be collateral for him. From my hand will you require him. If I don’t bring him to you, and set him before you, then let me bear the blame forever;
Que se não nos tivéssemos detido, certo agora teríamos já voltado duas vezes.
Que si no nos hubiéramos detenido, cierto ahora hubiéramos ya vuelto dos veces.
For except we had lingered, surely now we had returned this second time.
for if we hadn’t delayed, surely we would have returned a second time by now.”
Então Israel seu pai lhes respondeu: Pois que assim é, fazei-o; tomai do melhor da terra em vossos vasos, e levai àquele homem um presente, um pouco de bálsamo, e um pouco de mel, aromas e mirra, nozes e amêndoas.
Entonces Israel su padre les respondió: Pues que así es, hacedlo; tomad de lo mejor de la tierra en vuestros vasos, y llevad á aquel varón un presente, un poco de bálsamo, y un poco de miel, aromas y mirra, nueces y almendras.
And their father Israel said unto them, If it must be so now, do this; take of the best fruits in the land in your vessels, and carry down the man a present, a little balm, and a little honey, spices, and myrrh, nuts, and almonds:

E tomai em vossas mãos dobrado dinheiro, e levai em vossa mão o dinheiro que voltou nas bocas de vossos sacos; talvez tenha sido erro.
Y tomad en vuestras manos doblado dinero, y llevad en vuestra mano el dinero vuelto en las bocas de vuestros costales; quizá fué yerro.
And take double money in your hand; and the money that was brought again in the mouth of your sacks, carry it again in your hand; peradventure it was an oversight:
and take double money in your hand, and take back the money that was returned in the mouth of your sacks. Perhaps it was an oversight.
Tomai também a vosso irmão, e levantai-vos, e voltai àquele homem.

E o Deus Todo-Poderoso vos dê misericórdias diante daquele homem, e vos solte ao outro vosso irmão, e a este Benjamim. E se eu tiver de ser privado de meus filhos, assim seja.
Y el Dios Omnipotente os dé misericordias delante de aquel varón, y os suelte al otro vuestro hermano, y á este Benjamín. Y si he de ser privado de mis hijos, séalo.
And God Almighty give you mercy before the man, that he may send away your other brother, and Benjamin. If I be bereaved of my children, I am bereaved.

Então tomaram aqueles homens o presente, e tomaram em sua mão dobrado dinheiro, e a Benjamim; e se levantaram, e desceram ao Egito, e apresentaram-se diante de José.
Entonces tomaron aquellos varones el presente, y tomaron en su mano doblado dinero, y á Benjamín; y se levantaron, y descendieron á Egipto, y presentáronse delante de José.

E fez o homem como José disse; e meteu aquele homem aos homens em casa de José.

E aqueles homens tiveram temor, quando foram metidos na casa de José, e diziam: Pelo dinheiro que voltou em nossos sacos a primeira vez nos trouxeram aqui, para virem contra nós, e nos atacar, e tomar por servos a nós, e a nossos asnos.
Y aquellos hombres tuvieron temor, cuando fueron metidos en casa de José, y decían: Por el dinero que fué vuelto en nuestros costales la primera vez nos han metido aquí, para revolver contra nosotros, y dar sobre nosotros, y tomarnos por siervos á nosotros, y á nuestros asnos.
And the men were afraid, because they were brought into Joseph’s house; and they said, Because of the money that was returned in our sacks at the first time are we brought in; that he may seek occasion against us, and fall upon us, and take us for bondmen, and our asses.

E aproximaram-se do mordomo da casa de José, e lhe falaram à entrada da casa.

E aconteceu que quando viemos ao lugar de parada e abrimos nossos sacos, eis que o dinheiro de cada um estava na boca de seu saco, nosso dinheiro em seu justo peso; e o devolvemos em nossas mãos.
Y aconteció que como vinimos al mesón y abrimos nuestros costales, he aquí el dinero de cada uno estaba en la boca de su costal, nuestro dinero en su justo peso; y hémoslo vuelto en nuestras manos.
And it came to pass, when we came to the inn, that we opened our sacks, and, behold, every man’s money was in the mouth of his sack, our money in full weight: and we have brought it again in our hand.

E ele respondeu: Paz a vós, não temais; vosso Deus e o Deus de vosso pai vos deu o tesouro em vossos sacos: vosso dinheiro veio a mim. E tirou a Simeão a eles.

And he said, Peace be to you, fear not: your God, and the God of your father, hath given you treasure in your sacks: I had your money. And he brought Simeon out unto them.

And he lifted up his eyes, and saw his brother Benjamin, his mother’s son, and said, Is this your younger brother, of whom ye spake unto me? And he said, God be gracious unto thee, my son.
