Génesis 41

Zwei Jahre darauf träumte einmal dem Pharao und zwar, er stehe am Nil.

Y ACONTECIÓ que pasados dos años tuvo Faraón un sueño: Parecíale que estaba junto al río;

And it came to pass at the end of two full years, that Pharaoh dreamed: and, behold, he stood by the river.

Aus dem Nil aber stiegen sieben Kühe herauf von stattlichem Aussehen und fetten Leibes; die weideten im Riedgras.

Y que del río subían siete vacas, hermosas á la vista, y muy gordas, y pacían en el prado:

And, behold, there came up out of the river seven well favoured kine and fatfleshed; and they fed in a meadow.

Behold, seven cattle came up out of the river. They were sleek and fat, and they fed in the marsh grass.

Nach ihnen aber stiegen sieben andere Kühe aus dem Nil herauf, von häßlichem Aussehen und mageren Leibes; die stellten sich neben die ersten Kühe am Ufer des Nil.

Y que otras siete vacas subían tras ellas del río, de fea vista, y enjutas de carne, y se pararon cerca de las vacas hermosas á la orilla del río:

And, behold, seven other kine came up after them out of the river, ill favoured and leanfleshed; and stood by the other kine upon the brink of the river.

Behold, seven other cattle came up after them out of the river, ugly and thin, and stood by the other cattle on the brink of the river.

Hierauf fraßen die häßlich aussehenden und mageren Kühe die sieben schönen und fetten Kühe - da erwachte der Pharao.

Y que las vacas de fea vista y enjutas de carne devoraban á las siete vacas hermosas y muy gordas. Y despertó Faraón.

And the ill favoured and leanfleshed kine did eat up the seven well favoured and fat kine. So Pharaoh awoke.

The ugly and thin cattle ate up the seven sleek and fat cattle. So Pharaoh awoke.

Als er wieder eingeschlafen war, träumte ihm abermals und zwar, es wüchsen sieben Ähren an einem Halme, dick und schön.

Durmióse de nuevo, y soñó la segunda vez: Que siete espigas llenas y hermosas subían de una sola caña:

And he slept and dreamed the second time: and, behold, seven ears of corn came up upon one stalk, rank and good.

Nach ihnen aber sproßten sieben dürre und vom Ostwind versengte Ähren auf;

Y que otras siete espigas menudas y abatidas del Solano, salían después de ellas:

And, behold, seven thin ears and blasted with the east wind sprung up after them.

Behold, seven heads of grain, thin and blasted with the east wind, sprung up after them.

diese dürren Ähren verschlangen die sieben dicken und vollen Ähren. Da erwachte der Pharao und merkte, daß er geträumt habe.

Y las siete espigas menudas devoraban á las siete espigas gruesas y llenas. Y despertó Faraón, y he aquí que era sueño.

And the seven thin ears devoured the seven rank and full ears. And Pharaoh awoke, and, behold, it was a dream.

Frühmorgens aber ließ es ihm keine Ruhe, da sandte er aus und ließ alle Schriftkundigen und Weisen Ägyptens herbeirufen; denen erzählte der Pharao seine Träume. Aber da war keiner, der sie dem Pharao deuten konnte.

Y acaeció que á la mañana estaba agitado su espíritu; y envió é hizo llamar á todos los magos de Egipto, y á todos sus sabios: y contóles Faraón sus sueños, mas no había quien á Faraón los declarase.

And it came to pass in the morning that his spirit was troubled; and he sent and called for all the magicians of Egypt, and all the wise men thereof: and Pharaoh told them his dream; but there was none that could interpret them unto Pharaoh.

In the morning, his spirit was troubled, and he sent and called for all of Egypt’s magicians and wise men. Pharaoh told them his dreams, but there was no one who could interpret them to Pharaoh.

Da nahm der Obermundschenk das Wort und sprach zum Pharao: Ich muß heute meine Verschuldung in Erinnerung bringen.

Entonces el principal de los coperos habló á Faraón, diciendo: Acuérdome hoy de mis faltas:

Then spake the chief butler unto Pharaoh, saying, I do remember my faults this day:

Then the chief cup bearer spoke to Pharaoh, saying, “I remember my faults today.

Der Pharao war zornig auf seine Diener und ließ sie ins Haus des Anführers der Leibwächter gefangen setzen, mich und den Oberbäcker.

Faraón se enojó contra sus siervos, y á mí me echó á la prisión de la casa del capitán de los de la guardia, á mí y al principal de los panaderos:

Pharaoh was wroth with his servants, and put me in ward in the captain of the guard’s house, both me and the chief baker:

Pharaoh was angry with his servants, and put me in custody in the house of the captain of the guard, with the chief baker.

Da hatten wir beide in einer und derselben Nacht einen Traum, und zwar jeder einen Traum von besonderer Bedeutung.

Y yo y él vimos un sueño una misma noche: cada uno soñó conforme á la declaración de su sueño.

And we dreamed a dream in one night, I and he; we dreamed each man according to the interpretation of his dream.

We dreamed a dream in one night, he and I. Each man dreamed according to the interpretation of his dream.

Nun war da bei uns ein hebräischer Jüngling, ein Sklave des Anführers der Leibwächter; dem erzählten wir unsere Träume, und er deutete sie uns und offenbarte uns genau, was eines jeden Traum bedeutete.

Y estaba allí con nosotros un mozo Hebreo, sirviente del capitán de los de la guardia; y se lo contamos, y él nos declaró nuestros sueños, y declaró á cada uno conforme á su sueño.

And there was there with us a young man, an Hebrew, servant to the captain of the guard; and we told him, and he interpreted to us our dreams; to each man according to his dream he did interpret.

Und wie er uns vorhergesagt, so ist's geschehen: mich hat man wieder auf meinen Posten gesetzt, und ihn hat man gehenkt.

Y aconteció que como él nos declaró, así fué: á mí me hizo volver á mi puesto, é hizo colgar al otro.

And it came to pass, as he interpreted to us, so it was; me he restored unto mine office, and him he hanged.

Da sandte der Pharao hin und ließ Joseph rufen. Da entließen sie ihn schleunigst aus dem Gefängnis, und er ließ sich scheren, wechselte seine Kleider und begab sich hinein zum Pharao.

Entonces Faraón envió y llamó á José; é hiciéronle salir corriendo de la cárcel, y le cortaron el pelo, y mudaron sus vestidos, y vino á Faraón.

Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon: and he shaved himself, and changed his raiment, and came in unto Pharaoh.

Da sprach der Pharao zu Joseph: Ich habe einen Traum gehabt, und es ist niemand da, der ihn zu deuten vermöchte. Nun habe ich aber von dir gehört: du brauchst einen Traum nur zu hören, um ihn alsbald zu deuten.

Y dijo Faraón á José: Yo he tenido un sueño, y no hay quien lo declare; mas he oído decir de ti, que oyes sueños para declararlos.

And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I have dreamed a dream, and there is none that can interpret it: and I have heard say of thee, that thou canst understand a dream to interpret it.

Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I have dreamed a dream, and there is no one who can interpret it. I have heard it said of you, that when you hear a dream you can interpret it.”

Da erwiderte Joseph dem Pharao: O nein, ich nicht; aber Gott wird etwas offenbaren, was dem Pharao zum Heile gereicht.

Y respondió José á Faraón, diciendo: No está en mí; Dios será el que responda paz á Faraón.

And Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, It is not in me: God shall give Pharaoh an answer of peace.

Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, “It isn’t in me. God will give Pharaoh an answer of peace.”

Da erzählte der Pharao dem Joseph: Mir träumte, ich stehe am Ufer des Nil.

Entonces Faraón dijo á José: En mi sueño parecíame que estaba á la orilla del río:

And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, In my dream, behold, I stood upon the bank of the river:

Pharaoh spoke to Joseph, “In my dream, behold, I stood on the brink of the river;

Da stiegen aus dem Nil sieben Kühe herauf, fetten Leibes und von stattlichem Aussehen, und weideten im Riedgras.

Y que del río subían siete vacas de gruesas carnes y hermosa apariencia, que pacían en el prado:

And, behold, there came up out of the river seven kine, fatfleshed and well favoured; and they fed in a meadow:

and behold, seven fat and sleek cattle came up out of the river. They fed in the marsh grass;

Nach ihnen aber stiegen sieben andere Kühe herauf, elend und überaus häßlich anzusehen und mageren Leibes - nie habe ich in ganz Ägypten etwas so Häßliches gesehen wie sie!

Y que otras siete vacas subían después de ellas, flacas y de muy fea traza; tan extenuadas, que no he visto otras semejantes en toda la tierra de Egipto en fealdad:

And, behold, seven other kine came up after them, poor and very ill favoured and leanfleshed, such as I never saw in all the land of Egypt for badness:

and behold, seven other cattle came up after them, poor and very ugly and thin, such as I never saw in all the land of Egypt for ugliness.

Hierauf fraßen die mageren und häßlichen Kühe die sieben ersten, die fetten Kühe.

Y las vacas flacas y feas devoraban á las siete primeras vacas gruesas:

And the lean and the ill favoured kine did eat up the first seven fat kine:

The thin and ugly cattle ate up the first seven fat cattle;

Aber auch als sie sie hineingefressen hatten, merkte man nichts davon, daß sie sie gefressen hatten, vielmehr war ihr Aussehen häßlich wie zuvor. Da erwachte ich.

Y entraban en sus entrañas, mas no se conocía que hubiesen entrado en ellas, porque su parecer era aún malo, como de primero. Y yo desperté.

And when they had eaten them up, it could not be known that they had eaten them; but they were still ill favoured, as at the beginning. So I awoke.

and when they had eaten them up, it couldn’t be known that they had eaten them, but they were still ugly, as at the beginning. So I awoke.

Weiter aber sah ich im Traume sieben Ähren an einem Halme wachsen, die waren voll und schön.

Vi también soñando, que siete espigas subían en una misma caña llenas y hermosas;

And I saw in my dream, and, behold, seven ears came up in one stalk, full and good:

I saw in my dream, and behold, seven heads of grain came up on one stalk, full and good;

Nach ihnen aber sproßten sieben taube, dürre, vom Ostwind versengte Ähren auf,

Y que otras siete espigas menudas, marchitas, abatidas del Solano, subían después de ellas:

And, behold, seven ears, withered, thin, and blasted with the east wind, sprung up after them:

and behold, seven heads of grain, withered, thin, and blasted with the east wind, sprung up after them.

und die dürren Ähren verschlangen die sieben schönen Ähren. Das erzählte ich den Schriftkundigen, aber keiner kann mir Bescheid geben.

Y las espigas menudas devoraban á las siete espigas hermosas: y helo dicho á los magos, mas no hay quien me lo declare.

And the thin ears devoured the seven good ears: and I told this unto the magicians; but there was none that could declare it to me.

The thin heads of grain swallowed up the seven good heads of grain. I told it to the magicians, but there was no one who could explain it to me.”

Da antwortete Joseph dem Pharao: Die Träume des Pharao sind gleichbedeutend; Gott hat dem Pharao vorausverkündigt, was er demnächst thun wird.

Entonces respondió José á Faraón: El sueño de Faraón es uno mismo: Dios ha mostrado á Faraón lo que va á hacer.

And Joseph said unto Pharaoh, The dream of Pharaoh is one: God hath shewed Pharaoh what he is about to do.

Joseph said to Pharaoh, “The dream of Pharaoh is one. What God is about to do he has declared to Pharaoh.

Die sieben schönen Kühe bedeuten sieben Jahre, und die sieben schönen Ähren bedeuten sieben Jahre - beide Träume sind gleichbedeutend.

Las siete vacas hermosas siete años son; y las espigas hermosas son siete años: el sueño es uno mismo.

The seven good kine are seven years; and the seven good ears are seven years: the dream is one.

The seven good cattle are seven years; and the seven good heads of grain are seven years. The dream is one.

Und die sieben mageren und häßlichen Kühe, die nach ihnen heraufstiegen, bedeuten sieben Jahre, und die sieben leeren, vom Ostwind versengten Ähren sind, wie sich zeigen wird, sieben Hungerjahre.

También las siete vacas flacas y feas que subían tras ellas, son siete años; y las siete espigas menudas y marchitas del Solano, siete años serán de hambre.

And the seven thin and ill favoured kine that came up after them are seven years; and the seven empty ears blasted with the east wind shall be seven years of famine.

The seven thin and ugly cattle that came up after them are seven years, and also the seven empty heads of grain blasted with the east wind; they will be seven years of famine.

Deshalb habe ich vorhin zum Pharao gesagt: Was Gott zu thun vorhat, hat er dem Pharao gezeigt!

Esto es lo que respondo á Faraón. Lo que Dios va á hacer, halo mostrado á Faraón.

This is the thing which I have spoken unto Pharaoh: What God is about to do he sheweth unto Pharaoh.

That is the thing which I have spoken to Pharaoh. God has shown Pharaoh what he is about to do.

Es kommen jetzt sieben Jahre, da wird großer Überfluß in ganz Ägypten herrschen.

He aquí vienen siete años de grande hartura en toda la tierra de Egipto:

Behold, there come seven years of great plenty throughout all the land of Egypt:

Behold, seven years of great plenty throughout all the land of Egypt are coming.

Nach ihnen aber werden sieben Hungerjahre eintreten, so daß ganz in Vergessenheit geraten wird, welcher Überfluß in Ägypten herrschte, und der Hunger wird das Land aufreiben;

Y levantarse han tras ellos siete años de hambre; y toda la hartura será olvidada en la tierra de Egipto; y el hambre consumirá la tierra;

And there shall arise after them seven years of famine; and all the plenty shall be forgotten in the land of Egypt; and the famine shall consume the land;

Seven years of famine will arise after them, and all the plenty will be forgotten in the land of Egypt. The famine will consume the land,

und man wird nichts mehr wissen von dem Überfluß im Lande infolge dieser Hungersnot, die hinterdrein kommt, denn sie wird überaus drückend sein.

Y aquella abundancia no se echará de ver á causa del hambre siguiente, la cual será gravísima.

And the plenty shall not be known in the land by reason of that famine following; for it shall be very grievous.

and the plenty will not be known in the land by reason of that famine which follows; for it will be very grievous.

Und was das betrifft, daß dem Pharao zweimal nacheinander träumte, so wisse: die Sache ist fest beschlossen bei Gott, und Gott wird sie eilends ins Werk setzen.

Y el suceder el sueño á Faraón dos veces, significa que la cosa es firme de parte de Dios, y que Dios se apresura á hacerla.

And for that the dream was doubled unto Pharaoh twice; it is because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass.

So wolle sich denn der Pharao einen klugen und weisen Mann ersehen, daß er ihm Ägypten unterstelle.

Por tanto, provéase ahora Faraón de un varón prudente y sabio, y póngalo sobre la tierra de Egipto.

Now therefore let Pharaoh look out a man discreet and wise, and set him over the land of Egypt.

“Now therefore let Pharaoh look for a discreet and wise man, and set him over the land of Egypt.

Und der Pharao wolle dazu thun und Aufseher über das Land bestellen, um während der sieben Jahre des Überflusses den Fünften von Ägypten erheben zu lassen.

Haga esto Faraón, y ponga gobernadores sobre el país, y quinte la tierra de Egipto en los siete años de la hartura;

Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint officers over the land, and take up the fifth part of the land of Egypt in the seven plenteous years.

Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint overseers over the land, and take up the fifth part of the land of Egypt’s produce in the seven plenteous years.

Und zwar soll man den gesamten Ernteertrag der nun kommenden guten Jahre ansammeln und Getreide aufspeichern zur Verfügung des Pharao und soll den Ernteertrag in die Städte legen und aufbewahren.

Y junten toda la provisión de estos buenos años que vienen, y alleguen el trigo bajo la mano de Faraón para mantenimiento de las ciudades; y guárdenlo.

And let them gather all the food of those good years that come, and lay up corn under the hand of Pharaoh, and let them keep food in the cities.

Let them gather all the food of these good years that come, and store grain under the hand of Pharaoh for food in the cities, and let them keep it.

Dieser Vorrat soll dem Land als Rückhalt dienen für die sieben Hungerjahre, die über Ägypten kommen werden; so wird das Land nicht zu Grunde gehen durch die Hungersnot.

Y esté aquella provisión en depósito para el país, para los siete años del hambre que serán en la tierra de Egipto; y el país no perecerá de hambre.

And that food shall be for store to the land against the seven years of famine, which shall be in the land of Egypt; that the land perish not through the famine.

The food will be to supply the land against the seven years of famine, which will be in the land of Egypt; so that the land will not perish through the famine.”

Diese Rede fand Beifall bei dem Pharao und bei allen seinen Untergebenen.

Y el negocio pareció bien á Faraón, y á sus siervos.

And the thing was good in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of all his servants.

Da sprach der Pharao zu seinen Untergebenen: Könnten wir wohl einen finden, in dem der Geist Gottes ist, wie in ihm?

Y dijo Faraón á sus siervos: ¿Hemos de hallar otro hombre como éste, en quien haya espíritu de Dios?

And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is?

Pharaoh said to his servants, “Can we find such a one as this, a man in whom is the Spirit of God?”

Sodann sprach der Pharao zu Joseph: Nachdem dir Gott dieses alles offenbart hat, giebt es niemand, der so klug und weise wäre, wie du.

Y dijo Faraón á José: Pues que Dios te ha hecho saber todo esto, no hay entendido ni sabio como tú:

And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art:

Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Because God has shown you all of this, there is no one so discreet and wise as you.

Du sollst meinem Hause vorstehen, und deinem Befehle soll sich mein gesamtes Volk fügen - nur den Besitz des Throns will ich vor dir voraus haben.

Tú serás sobre mi casa, y por tu dicho se gobernará todo mi pueblo: solamente en el trono seré yo mayor que tú.

Thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than thou.

You shall be over my house. All my people will be ruled according to your word. Only in the throne I will be greater than you.”

Da sprach der Pharao zu Joseph: Wohlan, ich setze dich über ganz Ägypten.

Dijo más Faraón á José: He aquí yo te he puesto sobre toda la tierra de Egipto.

And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See, I have set thee over all the land of Egypt.

Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Behold, I have set you over all the land of Egypt.”

Hierauf zog der Pharao seinen Siegelring von seiner Hand ab und steckte ihn Joseph an; sodann ließ er ihn mit Byssusgewändern bekleiden und legte ihm die goldene Kette um den Hals.

Entonces Faraón quitó su anillo de su mano, y púsolo en la mano de José, é hízole vestir de ropas de lino finísimo, y puso un collar de oro en su cuello;

And Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand, and put it upon Joseph’s hand, and arrayed him in vestures of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck;

Pharaoh took off his signet ring from his hand, and put it on Joseph’s hand, and arrayed him in robes of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck.

Hierauf ließ er ihn auf dem Wagen fahren, der im Range dem seinigen folgte, und man rief vor ihm aus: Abrekh! So setzte er ihn über ganz Ägypten.

E hízolo subir en su segundo carro, y pregonaron delante de él: Doblad la rodilla: y púsole sobre toda la tierra de Egipto.

And he made him to ride in the second chariot which he had; and they cried before him, Bow the knee: and he made him ruler over all the land of Egypt.

Und der Pharao sprach zu Joseph: ich bin der Pharao - aber ohne deinen Willen soll niemand Hand oder Fuß regen in ganz Ägypten.

Y dijo Faraón á José: Yo Faraón; y sin ti ninguno alzará su mano ni su pie en toda la tierra de Egipto.

And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I am Pharaoh, and without thee shall no man lift up his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt.

Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I am Pharaoh. Without you, no man shall lift up his hand or his foot in all the land of Egypt.”

Und der Pharao legte Joseph den Namen Zaphenat Paneach bei und gab ihm Asnath, die Tochter Potipheras, des Oberpriesters von On, zum Weibe; und Joseph gebot über Ägypten.

Y llamó Faraón el nombre de José, Zaphnath-paaneah; y dióle por mujer á Asenath, hija de Potipherah, sacerdote de On. Y salió José por toda la tierra de Egipto.

And Pharaoh called Joseph’s name Zaphnath-paaneah; and he gave him to wife Asenath the daughter of Poti-pherah priest of On. And Joseph went out over all the land of Egypt.

Dreißig Jahre war Joseph alt, als er vor Pharao, dem König von Ägypten, stand. Darnach begab sich Joseph hinweg von dem Pharao und durchzog ganz Ägypten.

Y era José de edad de treinta años cuando fué presentado delante de Faraón, rey de Egipto: y salió José de delante de Faraón, y transitó por toda la tierra de Egipto.

And Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh, and went throughout all the land of Egypt.

Das Land aber trug in den sieben Jahren des Überflusses haufenweise.

E hizo la tierra en aquellos siete años de hartura á montones.

Da sammelte er den gesamten Ernteertrag der sieben Jahre, während welcher in Ägypten Überfluß herrschte, und legte Vorrat in die Städte; in einer jeden Stadt speicherte er den Ertrag der Felder auf, die rings um sie her lagen.

Y él juntó todo el mantenimiento de los siete años que fueron en la tierra de Egipto, y guardó mantenimiento en las ciudades, poniendo en cada ciudad el mantenimiento del campo de sus alrededores.

And he gathered up all the food of the seven years, which were in the land of Egypt, and laid up the food in the cities: the food of the field, which was round about every city, laid he up in the same.

So häufte Joseph Getreide auf, wie Sand am Meer, in ungeheuren Massen, bis er davon abstand, es zu messen, denn es war nicht zu messen.

Y acopió José trigo como arena de la mar, mucho en extremo, hasta no poderse contar, porque no tenía número.

And Joseph gathered corn as the sand of the sea, very much, until he left numbering; for it was without number.

Und Joseph wurden zwei Söhne geboren, ehe das Hungerjahr anbrach; die gebar ihm Asnath, die Tochter Poti-pheras, des Oberpriesters von On.

Y nacieron á José dos hijos antes que viniese el primer año del hambre, los cuales le parió Asenath, hija de Potipherah, sacerdote de On.

And unto Joseph were born two sons before the years of famine came, which Asenath the daughter of Poti-pherah priest of On bare unto him.

Den Erstgeborenen nannte Joseph Manasse; denn Gott, sprach er, hat mich alle meine Not und meine gesamte Familie vergessen lassen!

Y llamó José el nombre del primogénito Manasés; porque Dios (dijo) me hizo olvidar todo mi trabajo, y toda la casa de mi padre.

Als nun die sieben Jahre des Überflusses in Ägypten vorüber waren,

da brachen die sieben Hungerjahre an, wie Joseph vorhergesagt hatte. Und zwar kam eine Hungersnot über alle Länder; aber in ganz Ägypten gab es Brot.

Y comenzaron á venir los siete años del hambre, como José había dicho: y hubo hambre en todos los países, mas en toda la tierra de Egipto había pan.

And the seven years of dearth began to come, according as Joseph had said: and the dearth was in all lands; but in all the land of Egypt there was bread.

Als nun ganz Ägypten die Hungersnot empfand, da forderte das Volk ungestüm Brot vom Pharao. Da sprach der Pharao zu allen Ägyptern: Geht hin zu Joseph: was er euch gebieten wird, das thut!

Y cuando se sintió el hambre en toda la tierra de Egipto, el pueblo clamó á Faraón por pan. Y dijo Faraón á todos los Egipcios: Id á José, y haced lo que él os dijere.

And when all the land of Egypt was famished, the people cried to Pharaoh for bread: and Pharaoh said unto all the Egyptians, Go unto Joseph; what he saith to you, do.

Es lastete aber die Hungersnot auf aller Welt. Da eröffnete Joseph alle Kornspeicher und verkaufte den Ägyptern Getreide. Und die Hungersnot wurde immer drückender in Ägypten.

Y el hambre estaba por toda la extensión del país. Entonces abrió José todo granero donde había, y vendía á los Egipcios; porque había crecido el hambre en la tierra de Egipto.

And the famine was over all the face of the earth: and Joseph opened all the storehouses, and sold unto the Egyptians; and the famine waxed sore in the land of Egypt.

Da kam alle Welt zu Joseph nach Ägypten, um Getreide zu kaufen; denn überall herrschte drückende Hungersnot.

Y toda la tierra venía á Egipto para comprar de José, porque por toda la tierra había crecido el hambre.

And all countries came into Egypt to Joseph for to buy corn; because that the famine was so sore in all lands.

All countries came into Egypt, to Joseph, to buy grain, because the famine was severe in all the earth.
