Deux ans après, le Pharaon eut un songe : il lui sembla se tenir près du fleuve.

Y ACONTECIÓ que pasados dos años tuvo Faraón un sueño: Parecíale que estaba junto al río;

And it came to pass at the end of two full years, that Pharaoh dreamed: and, behold, he stood by the river.

Il crut voir en sortir sept vaches extrêmement belles et grasses en leur chair, qui se mirent à paître dans la prairie.

Y que del río subían siete vacas, hermosas á la vista, y muy gordas, y pacían en el prado:

And, behold, there came up out of the river seven well favoured kine and fatfleshed; and they fed in a meadow.

Behold, seven cattle came up out of the river. They were sleek and fat, and they fed in the marsh grass.

Après celles-là, il sortit du fleuve sept autres vaches, laides et maigres, qui se mirent à paître à côté des autres sur la rive.

Y que otras siete vacas subían tras ellas del río, de fea vista, y enjutas de carne, y se pararon cerca de las vacas hermosas á la orilla del río:

And, behold, seven other kine came up after them out of the river, ill favoured and leanfleshed; and stood by the other kine upon the brink of the river.

Behold, seven other cattle came up after them out of the river, ugly and thin, and stood by the other cattle on the brink of the river.

Mais les sept vaches laides et maigres dévorèrent les sept autres belles et grasses, et le Pharaon s'éveilla.

Y que las vacas de fea vista y enjutas de carne devoraban á las siete vacas hermosas y muy gordas. Y despertó Faraón.

And the ill favoured and leanfleshed kine did eat up the seven well favoured and fat kine. So Pharaoh awoke.

The ugly and thin cattle ate up the seven sleek and fat cattle. So Pharaoh awoke.

Il eut ensuite un second songe : c'étaient sept épis sortant d'une même tige, beaux et choisis.

Durmióse de nuevo, y soñó la segunda vez: Que siete espigas llenas y hermosas subían de una sola caña:

And he slept and dreamed the second time: and, behold, seven ears of corn came up upon one stalk, rank and good.

Les sept épis maigres et amincis par le vent mangèrent les épis choisis et pleins. Et le Pharaon s'éveilla : le songe était fini.

And the seven thin ears devoured the seven rank and full ears. And Pharaoh awoke, and, behold, it was a dream.

Lorsque le jour parut, son âme fut troublée ; il envoya mander tous les interprètes de l'Égypte et tous les sages ; il leur raconta ses songes, et il n'y eut là personne pour les expliquer au Pharaon.

And it came to pass in the morning that his spirit was troubled; and he sent and called for all the magicians of Egypt, and all the wise men thereof: and Pharaoh told them his dream; but there was none that could interpret them unto Pharaoh.

Alors, le grand échanson parla au Pharaon, disant : Je me souviens aujourd'hui de ma faute.

Then spake the chief butler unto Pharaoh, saying, I do remember my faults this day:

Then the chief cup bearer spoke to Pharaoh, saying, “I remember my faults today.

Le Pharaon était irrité contre ses serviteurs, et il nous avait mis en prison dans la maison du chef des cuisines, moi et le grand panetier.

Faraón se enojó contra sus siervos, y á mí me echó á la prisión de la casa del capitán de los de la guardia, á mí y al principal de los panaderos:

Pharaoh was wroth with his servants, and put me in ward in the captain of the guard’s house, both me and the chief baker:

Pharaoh was angry with his servants, and put me in custody in the house of the captain of the guard, with the chief baker.

Et nous eûmes chacun un songe en la même nuit ; le grand panetier et moi séparément, nous eûmes chacun un songe.

Y yo y él vimos un sueño una misma noche: cada uno soñó conforme á la declaración de su sueño.

And we dreamed a dream in one night, I and he; we dreamed each man according to the interpretation of his dream.

Or, il y avait là, avec nous, un jeune Hébreu, serviteur du chef des cuisines ; nous lui dîmes nos songes, et il les interpréta.

Y estaba allí con nosotros un mozo Hebreo, sirviente del capitán de los de la guardia; y se lo contamos, y él nos declaró nuestros sueños, y declaró á cada uno conforme á su sueño.

And there was there with us a young man, an Hebrew, servant to the captain of the guard; and we told him, and he interpreted to us our dreams; to each man according to his dream he did interpret.

Et, selon son interprétation, il nous advint à moi d'être rétabli dans mon office, et au grand panetier d'être suspendu à une croix.

And it came to pass, as he interpreted to us, so it was; me he restored unto mine office, and him he hanged.

Le Pharaon envoya aussitôt mander Joseph. Ses gens l'amenèrent, le rasèrent, lui passèrent une autre robe, et il entra vers le Pharaon.

Entonces Faraón envió y llamó á José; é hiciéronle salir corriendo de la cárcel, y le cortaron el pelo, y mudaron sus vestidos, y vino á Faraón.

Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon: and he shaved himself, and changed his raiment, and came in unto Pharaoh.

Et le Pharaon dit à Joseph : J'ai eu un songe, et il n'est ici personne pour l'interpréter ; or, j'ai ouï dire que des songes t'ayant été racontés, tu en avais donné l'interprétation.

Y dijo Faraón á José: Yo he tenido un sueño, y no hay quien lo declare; mas he oído decir de ti, que oyes sueños para declararlos.

And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I have dreamed a dream, and there is none that can interpret it: and I have heard say of thee, that thou canst understand a dream to interpret it.

Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I have dreamed a dream, and there is no one who can interpret it. I have heard it said of you, that when you hear a dream you can interpret it.”

Joseph répondit au Pharaon : Sans l'aide de Dieu il ne peut être donné au Pharaon de réponse salutaire.

Y respondió José á Faraón, diciendo: No está en mí; Dios será el que responda paz á Faraón.

And Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, It is not in me: God shall give Pharaoh an answer of peace.

Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, “It isn’t in me. God will give Pharaoh an answer of peace.”

Et le Pharaon dit à Joseph : En mon sommeil, il me sembla me tenir sur les bords du fleuve.

Entonces Faraón dijo á José: En mi sueño parecíame que estaba á la orilla del río:

And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, In my dream, behold, I stood upon the bank of the river:

Pharaoh spoke to Joseph, “In my dream, behold, I stood on the brink of the river;

Je crus voir sortir du fleuve sept vaches extrêmement belles et grasses en leur chair, qui se mirent à paître dans la prairie.

Y que del río subían siete vacas de gruesas carnes y hermosa apariencia, que pacían en el prado:

And, behold, there came up out of the river seven kine, fatfleshed and well favoured; and they fed in a meadow:

and behold, seven fat and sleek cattle came up out of the river. They fed in the marsh grass;

Derrière elles, il sortit du fleuve sept autres vaches, mauvaises, laides et maigres, telles que dans toute l'Égypte je n'en ai jamais vu de plus laides.

Y que otras siete vacas subían después de ellas, flacas y de muy fea traza; tan extenuadas, que no he visto otras semejantes en toda la tierra de Egipto en fealdad:

And, behold, seven other kine came up after them, poor and very ill favoured and leanfleshed, such as I never saw in all the land of Egypt for badness:

and behold, seven other cattle came up after them, poor and very ugly and thin, such as I never saw in all the land of Egypt for ugliness.

Et les sept vaches laides et maigres mangèrent les sept premières, qui étaient belles et grasses.

Y las vacas flacas y feas devoraban á las siete primeras vacas gruesas:

And the lean and the ill favoured kine did eat up the first seven fat kine:

The thin and ugly cattle ate up the first seven fat cattle;

Celles-ci entrèrent dans leurs entrailles ; et il ne parut point qu'elles eussent été ainsi absorbées dans leur ventre, car l'aspect des maigres resta ce qu'il était d'abord ; et, après m'être éveillé, je me rendormis.

Y entraban en sus entrañas, mas no se conocía que hubiesen entrado en ellas, porque su parecer era aún malo, como de primero. Y yo desperté.

And when they had eaten them up, it could not be known that they had eaten them; but they were still ill favoured, as at the beginning. So I awoke.

Ensuite, j'eus dans mon sommeil une nouvelle vision : il me sembla que sept épis se levaient sur une même tige, beaux et pleins.

Vi también soñando, que siete espigas subían en una misma caña llenas y hermosas;

And I saw in my dream, and, behold, seven ears came up in one stalk, full and good:

Et sept autres épis, maigres et amincis par le vent, poussèrent après ceux-là.

Y que otras siete espigas menudas, marchitas, abatidas del Solano, subían después de ellas:

And, behold, seven ears, withered, thin, and blasted with the east wind, sprung up after them:

Puis, les sept épis maigres et amincis par le vent mangèrent les sept épis beaux et pleins. J'ai parlé aux interprètes, et il ne s'est trouvé parmi eux personne pour me donner une explication.

Y las espigas menudas devoraban á las siete espigas hermosas: y helo dicho á los magos, mas no hay quien me lo declare.

And the thin ears devoured the seven good ears: and I told this unto the magicians; but there was none that could declare it to me.

The thin heads of grain swallowed up the seven good heads of grain. I told it to the magicians, but there was no one who could explain it to me.”

Joseph répondit au Pharaon : Le songe du Pharaon est un seul et même songe ; Dieu a montré au Pharaon ce qu'il doit faire.

Entonces respondió José á Faraón: El sueño de Faraón es uno mismo: Dios ha mostrado á Faraón lo que va á hacer.

And Joseph said unto Pharaoh, The dream of Pharaoh is one: God hath shewed Pharaoh what he is about to do.

Joseph said to Pharaoh, “The dream of Pharaoh is one. What God is about to do he has declared to Pharaoh.

Les sept vaches grasses sont sept années, les sept épis pleins sont sept années aussi ; le songe du Pharaon est un seul et même songe.

Las siete vacas hermosas siete años son; y las espigas hermosas son siete años: el sueño es uno mismo.

The seven good kine are seven years; and the seven good ears are seven years: the dream is one.

The seven good cattle are seven years; and the seven good heads of grain are seven years. The dream is one.

Les sept vaches maigres qui sortent du fleuve après les premières, sont sept années, et les sept épis maigres, amincis par le vent, sont sept années : il y aura sept années de famine.

También las siete vacas flacas y feas que subían tras ellas, son siete años; y las siete espigas menudas y marchitas del Solano, siete años serán de hambre.

And the seven thin and ill favoured kine that came up after them are seven years; and the seven empty ears blasted with the east wind shall be seven years of famine.

The seven thin and ugly cattle that came up after them are seven years, and also the seven empty heads of grain blasted with the east wind; they will be seven years of famine.

C'est ce que je viens de dire au Pharaon : Dieu lui a montré ce qu'il veut faire.

Esto es lo que respondo á Faraón. Lo que Dios va á hacer, halo mostrado á Faraón.

This is the thing which I have spoken unto Pharaoh: What God is about to do he sheweth unto Pharaoh.

That is the thing which I have spoken to Pharaoh. God has shown Pharaoh what he is about to do.

Pendant sept années, il y aura grande abondance en toute la terre d'Égypte.

He aquí vienen siete años de grande hartura en toda la tierra de Egipto:

Behold, there come seven years of great plenty throughout all the land of Egypt:

Behold, seven years of great plenty throughout all the land of Egypt are coming.

Ensuite, viendront sept années de famine, et l'on oubliera l'abondance qu'il y aura eu en toute l'Égypte ; la famine épuisera toute la terre.

Y levantarse han tras ellos siete años de hambre; y toda la hartura será olvidada en la tierra de Egipto; y el hambre consumirá la tierra;

And there shall arise after them seven years of famine; and all the plenty shall be forgotten in the land of Egypt; and the famine shall consume the land;

Seven years of famine will arise after them, and all the plenty will be forgotten in the land of Egypt. The famine will consume the land,

Et l'abondance ne laissera pas de traces sur la terre à cause de la famine qui viendra après elle ; car cette famine sera terrible.

Y aquella abundancia no se echará de ver á causa del hambre siguiente, la cual será gravísima.

And the plenty shall not be known in the land by reason of that famine following; for it shall be very grievous.

and the plenty will not be known in the land by reason of that famine which follows; for it will be very grievous.

Si le songe du Pharaon s'est produit deux fois, c'est pour signifier qu'il est véritablement la parole de Dieu, et que Dieu est près de l'accomplir.

Y el suceder el sueño á Faraón dos veces, significa que la cosa es firme de parte de Dios, y que Dios se apresura á hacerla.

And for that the dream was doubled unto Pharaoh twice; it is because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass.

Maintenant donc, choisis un homme intelligent et sage, et mets-le à la tête de l'Égypte.

Por tanto, provéase ahora Faraón de un varón prudente y sabio, y póngalo sobre la tierra de Egipto.

Now therefore let Pharaoh look out a man discreet and wise, and set him over the land of Egypt.

Que le Pharaon agisse : qu'il institue des chefs de canton en la contrée, et que ces chefs envoient tous les produits de l'Égypte, pendant les sept années d'abondance.

Haga esto Faraón, y ponga gobernadores sobre el país, y quinte la tierra de Egipto en los siete años de la hartura;

Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint officers over the land, and take up the fifth part of the land of Egypt in the seven plenteous years.

Qu'ainsi l'on réunisse toutes les denrées de ces bonnes années qui vont venir, que l'on amoncelle tout le blé sous la main du Pharaon et que des vivres soient gardés dans les villes.

Y junten toda la provisión de estos buenos años que vienen, y alleguen el trigo bajo la mano de Faraón para mantenimiento de las ciudades; y guárdenlo.

And let them gather all the food of those good years that come, and lay up corn under the hand of Pharaoh, and let them keep food in the cities.

Ces vivres conservés seront pour l'Égypte, pendant les sept années de famine qui viendront en la contrée, et elle ne sera pas consumée par le fléau.

And that food shall be for store to the land against the seven years of famine, which shall be in the land of Egypt; that the land perish not through the famine.

Ce discours fut agréable au Pharaon et à tous ses serviteurs.

And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is?

Il dit aussi à Joseph : Puisque Dieu t'a fait voir toutes ces choses, il n'y a pas d'homme plus sage et plus intelligent que toi.

Y dijo Faraón á José: Pues que Dios te ha hecho saber todo esto, no hay entendido ni sabio como tú:

And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art:

Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Because God has shown you all of this, there is no one so discreet and wise as you.

Tu seras à la tête de ma maison, mon peuple entier obéira à ta parole, je ne serai au-dessus de toi que par le trône.

Tú serás sobre mi casa, y por tu dicho se gobernará todo mi pueblo: solamente en el trono seré yo mayor que tú.

Thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than thou.

You shall be over my house. All my people will be ruled according to your word. Only in the throne I will be greater than you.”

Et le Pharaon dit à Joseph : Je te mets aujourd'hui à la tête de toute la terre d'Égypte.

And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See, I have set thee over all the land of Egypt.

Puis, le Pharaon ôtant l'anneau de sa main, le mit à la main de Joseph ; il le revêtit d' une robe du lin le plus fin, et lui passa autour du cou un collier d'or.

Entonces Faraón quitó su anillo de su mano, y púsolo en la mano de José, é hízole vestir de ropas de lino finísimo, y puso un collar de oro en su cuello;

And Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand, and put it upon Joseph’s hand, and arrayed him in vestures of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck;

And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I am Pharaoh, and without thee shall no man lift up his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt.

And Pharaoh called Joseph’s name Zaphnath-paaneah; and he gave him to wife Asenath the daughter of Poti-pherah priest of On. And Joseph went out over all the land of Egypt.

And he gathered up all the food of the seven years, which were in the land of Egypt, and laid up the food in the cities: the food of the field, which was round about every city, laid he up in the same.

And Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh: For God, said he, hath made me forget all my toil, and all my father’s house.

Il appela le second Ephraïm, parce que dit-il, Dieu m'a grandi dans mon humiliation.

Et les sept années d'abondance qui furent en la terre d'Égypte s'écoulèrent.

Y cumpliéronse los siete años de la hartura, que hubo en la tierra de Egipto.

And the seven years of plenteousness, that was in the land of Egypt, were ended.

The seven years of plenty, that were in the land of Egypt, came to an end.

Et les sept années de famine commencèrent à venir, comme avait dit Joseph. Et la famine régnait sur toute la terre, mais il y avait du pain dans toute l'Égypte.

Y comenzaron á venir los siete años del hambre, como José había dicho: y hubo hambre en todos los países, mas en toda la tierra de Egipto había pan.

And the seven years of dearth began to come, according as Joseph had said: and the dearth was in all lands; but in all the land of Egypt there was bread.

And all countries came into Egypt to Joseph for to buy corn; because that the famine was so sore in all lands.
