ED avvenne, in capo di due anni intieri, che Faraone sognò, e gli pareva di essere presso al fiume.

Y ACONTECIÓ que pasados dos años tuvo Faraón un sueño: Parecíale que estaba junto al río;

And it came to pass at the end of two full years, that Pharaoh dreamed: and, behold, he stood by the river.

At the end of two full years, Pharaoh dreamed, and behold, he stood by the river.

Ed ecco, dal fiume salivano sette vacche di bella apparenza, e grasse, e carnose, e pasturavano nella giuncaia.

Y que del río subían siete vacas, hermosas á la vista, y muy gordas, y pacían en el prado:

And, behold, there came up out of the river seven well favoured kine and fatfleshed; and they fed in a meadow.

Behold, seven cattle came up out of the river. They were sleek and fat, and they fed in the marsh grass.

Poi ecco, dal fiume salivano sette altre vacche di brutta apparenza, e magre, e scarne; e si fermarono presso a quelle altre in su la riva del fiume.

Y que otras siete vacas subían tras ellas del río, de fea vista, y enjutas de carne, y se pararon cerca de las vacas hermosas á la orilla del río:

And, behold, seven other kine came up after them out of the river, ill favoured and leanfleshed; and stood by the other kine upon the brink of the river.

Behold, seven other cattle came up after them out of the river, ugly and thin, and stood by the other cattle on the brink of the river.

E le vacche di brutta apparenza, e magre, e scarne, mangiarono le sette vacche di bella apparenza, e grasse. E Faraone si risvegliò.

Y que las vacas de fea vista y enjutas de carne devoraban á las siete vacas hermosas y muy gordas. Y despertó Faraón.

And the ill favoured and leanfleshed kine did eat up the seven well favoured and fat kine. So Pharaoh awoke.

The ugly and thin cattle ate up the seven sleek and fat cattle. So Pharaoh awoke.

Poi, raddormentatosi, sognò di nuovo: ed ecco, sette spighe prospere, e belle, salivano da un gambo.

Durmióse de nuevo, y soñó la segunda vez: Que siete espigas llenas y hermosas subían de una sola caña:

And he slept and dreamed the second time: and, behold, seven ears of corn came up upon one stalk, rank and good.

Poi ecco, sette altre spighe minute, ed arse dal vento orientale, germogliavano dopo quelle.

Y que otras siete espigas menudas y abatidas del Solano, salían después de ellas:

And, behold, seven thin ears and blasted with the east wind sprung up after them.

Behold, seven heads of grain, thin and blasted with the east wind, sprung up after them.

E le spighe minute tranghiottirono le sette spighe prospere e piene. E Faraone si risvegliò; ed ecco un sogno.

Y las siete espigas menudas devoraban á las siete espigas gruesas y llenas. Y despertó Faraón, y he aquí que era sueño.

And the seven thin ears devoured the seven rank and full ears. And Pharaoh awoke, and, behold, it was a dream.

The thin heads of grain swallowed up the seven healthy and full ears. Pharaoh awoke, and behold, it was a dream.

E venuta la mattina, lo spirito suo fu conturbato; e mandò a chiamar tutti i Magi ed i Savi d’Egitto, e raccontò loro i suoi sogni; ma non vi fu alcuno che li potesse interpretare a Faraone

Y acaeció que á la mañana estaba agitado su espíritu; y envió é hizo llamar á todos los magos de Egipto, y á todos sus sabios: y contóles Faraón sus sueños, mas no había quien á Faraón los declarase.

And it came to pass in the morning that his spirit was troubled; and he sent and called for all the magicians of Egypt, and all the wise men thereof: and Pharaoh told them his dream; but there was none that could interpret them unto Pharaoh.

In the morning, his spirit was troubled, and he sent and called for all of Egypt’s magicians and wise men. Pharaoh told them his dreams, but there was no one who could interpret them to Pharaoh.

Allora il coppier maggiore parlò a Faraone, dicendo: Io mi rammemoro oggi i miei falli.

Entonces el principal de los coperos habló á Faraón, diciendo: Acuérdome hoy de mis faltas:

Then spake the chief butler unto Pharaoh, saying, I do remember my faults this day:

Then the chief cup bearer spoke to Pharaoh, saying, “I remember my faults today.

Faraone si crucciò già gravemente contro a’ suoi servitori, e mise me e il panattier maggiore in prigione, in casa del Capitan delle guardie.

Faraón se enojó contra sus siervos, y á mí me echó á la prisión de la casa del capitán de los de la guardia, á mí y al principal de los panaderos:

Pharaoh was wroth with his servants, and put me in ward in the captain of the guard’s house, both me and the chief baker:

Pharaoh was angry with his servants, and put me in custody in the house of the captain of the guard, with the chief baker.

E sognammo egli ed io, in una stessa notte ciascuno un sogno; noi sognammo ciascuno il suo sogno, conveniente all’interpretazione che ne fu data.

Y yo y él vimos un sueño una misma noche: cada uno soñó conforme á la declaración de su sueño.

And we dreamed a dream in one night, I and he; we dreamed each man according to the interpretation of his dream.

We dreamed a dream in one night, he and I. Each man dreamed according to the interpretation of his dream.

Or quivi con noi era un giovane Ebreo, servitor del Capitan delle guardie, al quale noi raccontammo i nostri sogni, ed egli ce l’interpretò, dando la interpretazione a ciascuno secondo il suo sogno.

Y estaba allí con nosotros un mozo Hebreo, sirviente del capitán de los de la guardia; y se lo contamos, y él nos declaró nuestros sueños, y declaró á cada uno conforme á su sueño.

And there was there with us a young man, an Hebrew, servant to the captain of the guard; and we told him, and he interpreted to us our dreams; to each man according to his dream he did interpret.

Ed avvenne che, secondo l’interpretazione ch’egli ci avea data, Faraone mi rimise nel mio stato, e fece appiccar quell’altro.

Y aconteció que como él nos declaró, así fué: á mí me hizo volver á mi puesto, é hizo colgar al otro.

And it came to pass, as he interpreted to us, so it was; me he restored unto mine office, and him he hanged.

As he interpreted to us, so it was. He restored me to my office, and he hanged him.”

Allora Faraone mandò a chiamar Giuseppe, il quale prestamente fu tratto fuor della fossa; ed egli si tondè, e si cambiò i vestimenti, e venne a Faraone.

Entonces Faraón envió y llamó á José; é hiciéronle salir corriendo de la cárcel, y le cortaron el pelo, y mudaron sus vestidos, y vino á Faraón.

Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon: and he shaved himself, and changed his raiment, and came in unto Pharaoh.

E Faraone disse a Giuseppe: Io ho sognato un sogno, e non vi è niuno che l’interpreti; or io ho udito dir di te, che tu intendi i sogni, per interpretarli.

Y dijo Faraón á José: Yo he tenido un sueño, y no hay quien lo declare; mas he oído decir de ti, que oyes sueños para declararlos.

And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I have dreamed a dream, and there is none that can interpret it: and I have heard say of thee, that thou canst understand a dream to interpret it.

Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I have dreamed a dream, and there is no one who can interpret it. I have heard it said of you, that when you hear a dream you can interpret it.”

E Giuseppe rispose a Faraone, dicendo: V’è altri che me; Iddio risponderà ciò che sarà per la prosperità di Faraone

Y respondió José á Faraón, diciendo: No está en mí; Dios será el que responda paz á Faraón.

And Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, It is not in me: God shall give Pharaoh an answer of peace.

Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, “It isn’t in me. God will give Pharaoh an answer of peace.”

E Faraone disse a Giuseppe: E’ mi pareva nel mio sogno che io stava presso alla riva del fiume.

Entonces Faraón dijo á José: En mi sueño parecíame que estaba á la orilla del río:

And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, In my dream, behold, I stood upon the bank of the river:

Pharaoh spoke to Joseph, “In my dream, behold, I stood on the brink of the river;

Ed ecco, dal fiume salivano sette vacche, grasse, e carnose, e di bella apparenza, e pasturavano nella giuncaia.

Y que del río subían siete vacas de gruesas carnes y hermosa apariencia, que pacían en el prado:

And, behold, there came up out of the river seven kine, fatfleshed and well favoured; and they fed in a meadow:

and behold, seven fat and sleek cattle came up out of the river. They fed in the marsh grass;

Poi ecco, sette altre vacche salivano dietro a quelle, magre, e di bruttissima apparenza, e scarne; io non ne vidi mai di così misere in tutto il paese di Egitto.

Y que otras siete vacas subían después de ellas, flacas y de muy fea traza; tan extenuadas, que no he visto otras semejantes en toda la tierra de Egipto en fealdad:

And, behold, seven other kine came up after them, poor and very ill favoured and leanfleshed, such as I never saw in all the land of Egypt for badness:

and behold, seven other cattle came up after them, poor and very ugly and thin, such as I never saw in all the land of Egypt for ugliness.

E le vacche magre, e misere, mangiarono le sette prime vacche grasse.

Y las vacas flacas y feas devoraban á las siete primeras vacas gruesas:

And the lean and the ill favoured kine did eat up the first seven fat kine:

The thin and ugly cattle ate up the first seven fat cattle;

E quelle entrarono loro in corpo; ma pur non se ne riconobbe nulla; conciossiachè fossero di così brutto aspetto, come prima. Ed io mi risvegliai.

Y entraban en sus entrañas, mas no se conocía que hubiesen entrado en ellas, porque su parecer era aún malo, como de primero. Y yo desperté.

And when they had eaten them up, it could not be known that they had eaten them; but they were still ill favoured, as at the beginning. So I awoke.

and when they had eaten them up, it couldn’t be known that they had eaten them, but they were still ugly, as at the beginning. So I awoke.

E’ mi parve ancora, sognando, veder sette spighe piene e belle, che salivano da un gambo.

Vi también soñando, que siete espigas subían en una misma caña llenas y hermosas;

And I saw in my dream, and, behold, seven ears came up in one stalk, full and good:

I saw in my dream, and behold, seven heads of grain came up on one stalk, full and good;

Poi ecco, sette altre spighe aride, minute, arse dal vento orientale, germogliarono dopo quelle.

Y que otras siete espigas menudas, marchitas, abatidas del Solano, subían después de ellas:

And, behold, seven ears, withered, thin, and blasted with the east wind, sprung up after them:

and behold, seven heads of grain, withered, thin, and blasted with the east wind, sprung up after them.

E le spighe minute tranghiottirono le sette spighe belle. Or io ho detti questi sogni a’ Magi; ma non vi è stato alcuno che me li abbia saputi dichiarare.

Y las espigas menudas devoraban á las siete espigas hermosas: y helo dicho á los magos, mas no hay quien me lo declare.

And the thin ears devoured the seven good ears: and I told this unto the magicians; but there was none that could declare it to me.

The thin heads of grain swallowed up the seven good heads of grain. I told it to the magicians, but there was no one who could explain it to me.”

Allora Giuseppe disse a Faraone: Ciò che ha sognato Faraone è una stessa cosa. Iddio ha significato a Faraone ciò ch’egli è per fare.

Entonces respondió José á Faraón: El sueño de Faraón es uno mismo: Dios ha mostrado á Faraón lo que va á hacer.

And Joseph said unto Pharaoh, The dream of Pharaoh is one: God hath shewed Pharaoh what he is about to do.

Joseph said to Pharaoh, “The dream of Pharaoh is one. What God is about to do he has declared to Pharaoh.

Le sette vacche belle son sette anni; e le sette spighe belle sono altresì sette anni; l’uno e l’altro sogno sono una stessa cosa.

Las siete vacas hermosas siete años son; y las espigas hermosas son siete años: el sueño es uno mismo.

The seven good kine are seven years; and the seven good ears are seven years: the dream is one.

The seven good cattle are seven years; and the seven good heads of grain are seven years. The dream is one.

Parimente, le sette vacche magre e brutte, che salivano dopo quelle, son sette anni; e le sette spighe vote, arse dal vento orientale, saranno sette anni di fame.

También las siete vacas flacas y feas que subían tras ellas, son siete años; y las siete espigas menudas y marchitas del Solano, siete años serán de hambre.

And the seven thin and ill favoured kine that came up after them are seven years; and the seven empty ears blasted with the east wind shall be seven years of famine.

The seven thin and ugly cattle that came up after them are seven years, and also the seven empty heads of grain blasted with the east wind; they will be seven years of famine.

Questo è quello che io ho detto a Faraone: Che Iddio ha mostrato a Faraone ciò ch’egli è per fare.

Esto es lo que respondo á Faraón. Lo que Dios va á hacer, halo mostrado á Faraón.

This is the thing which I have spoken unto Pharaoh: What God is about to do he sheweth unto Pharaoh.

That is the thing which I have spoken to Pharaoh. God has shown Pharaoh what he is about to do.

Ecco, vengono sette anni di grande abbondanza in tutto il paese di Egitto.

He aquí vienen siete años de grande hartura en toda la tierra de Egipto:

Behold, there come seven years of great plenty throughout all the land of Egypt:

Behold, seven years of great plenty throughout all the land of Egypt are coming.

Poi, dopo quelli, verranno sette anni di fame; e tutta quella abbondanza sarà dimenticata nel paese di Egitto; e la fame consumerà il paese.

Y levantarse han tras ellos siete años de hambre; y toda la hartura será olvidada en la tierra de Egipto; y el hambre consumirá la tierra;

And there shall arise after them seven years of famine; and all the plenty shall be forgotten in the land of Egypt; and the famine shall consume the land;

Seven years of famine will arise after them, and all the plenty will be forgotten in the land of Egypt. The famine will consume the land,

E quell’abbondanza non si conoscerà nel paese, per cagion di quella fame che verrà appresso; perciocchè ella sarà molto aspra.

Y aquella abundancia no se echará de ver á causa del hambre siguiente, la cual será gravísima.

And the plenty shall not be known in the land by reason of that famine following; for it shall be very grievous.

and the plenty will not be known in the land by reason of that famine which follows; for it will be very grievous.

E quant’è a ciò che il sogno è stato reiterato per due volte a Faraone, ciò è avvenuto, perchè la cosa è determinata da Dio; e Iddio l’eseguirà tosto

Y el suceder el sueño á Faraón dos veces, significa que la cosa es firme de parte de Dios, y que Dios se apresura á hacerla.

And for that the dream was doubled unto Pharaoh twice; it is because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass.

Ora dunque provveggasi Faraone di un uomo intendente e savio, il quale egli costituisca sopra il paese di Egitto.

Por tanto, provéase ahora Faraón de un varón prudente y sabio, y póngalo sobre la tierra de Egipto.

Now therefore let Pharaoh look out a man discreet and wise, and set him over the land of Egypt.

“Now therefore let Pharaoh look for a discreet and wise man, and set him over the land of Egypt.

Faraone faccia questo: Ordini de’ commissari nel paese; e facciasi dare il quinto della rendita del paese di Egitto, ne’ sette anni dell’abbondanza.

Haga esto Faraón, y ponga gobernadores sobre el país, y quinte la tierra de Egipto en los siete años de la hartura;

Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint officers over the land, and take up the fifth part of the land of Egypt in the seven plenteous years.

Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint overseers over the land, and take up the fifth part of the land of Egypt’s produce in the seven plenteous years.

E adunino essi tutta la vittuaglia di questi sette buoni anni che vengono, e ammassino il grano sotto la mano di Faraone, per vittuaglia nella città; e lo conservino.

Y junten toda la provisión de estos buenos años que vienen, y alleguen el trigo bajo la mano de Faraón para mantenimiento de las ciudades; y guárdenlo.

And let them gather all the food of those good years that come, and lay up corn under the hand of Pharaoh, and let them keep food in the cities.

Let them gather all the food of these good years that come, and store grain under the hand of Pharaoh for food in the cities, and let them keep it.

E quella vittuaglia sarà per provvisione del paese, ne’ sette anni della fame che saranno nel paese di Egitto; e il paese non sarà distrutto per la fame.

Y esté aquella provisión en depósito para el país, para los siete años del hambre que serán en la tierra de Egipto; y el país no perecerá de hambre.

And that food shall be for store to the land against the seven years of famine, which shall be in the land of Egypt; that the land perish not through the famine.

The food will be to supply the land against the seven years of famine, which will be in the land of Egypt; so that the land will not perish through the famine.”

E la cosa piacque a Faraone e a tutti i suoi servitori.

Y el negocio pareció bien á Faraón, y á sus siervos.

And the thing was good in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of all his servants.

E Faraone disse a’ suoi servitori: Potremmo noi trovare alcuno pari a costui, ch’è uomo in cui è lo Spirito di Dio?

Y dijo Faraón á sus siervos: ¿Hemos de hallar otro hombre como éste, en quien haya espíritu de Dios?

And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is?

Pharaoh said to his servants, “Can we find such a one as this, a man in whom is the Spirit of God?”

E Faraone disse a Giuseppe: Poichè Iddio ti ha manifestato tutto questo, e’ non vi è alcuno intendente, nè savio, come sei tu.

Y dijo Faraón á José: Pues que Dios te ha hecho saber todo esto, no hay entendido ni sabio como tú:

And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art:

Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Because God has shown you all of this, there is no one so discreet and wise as you.

Tu sarai sopra la mia casa, e tutto il mio popolo ti bacerà in bocca; io non sarò più grande di te, salvo che nel trono.

Tú serás sobre mi casa, y por tu dicho se gobernará todo mi pueblo: solamente en el trono seré yo mayor que tú.

Thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than thou.

You shall be over my house. All my people will be ruled according to your word. Only in the throne I will be greater than you.”

Oltre a ciò, Faraone disse a Giuseppe: Vedi, io ti costituisco sopra tutto il paese di Egitto.

Dijo más Faraón á José: He aquí yo te he puesto sobre toda la tierra de Egipto.

And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See, I have set thee over all the land of Egypt.

Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Behold, I have set you over all the land of Egypt.”

E Faraone si trasse il suo anello di mano, e lo mise in mano a Giuseppe, e lo fece vestir di vestimenti di bisso, e gli mise una collana d’oro al collo.

Entonces Faraón quitó su anillo de su mano, y púsolo en la mano de José, é hízole vestir de ropas de lino finísimo, y puso un collar de oro en su cuello;

And Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand, and put it upon Joseph’s hand, and arrayed him in vestures of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck;

E lo fece salir sopra il carro della seconda persona del suo regno; e si gridava davanti a lui: Ognuno s’inginocchi; e ch’egli lo costituiva sopra tutto il paese di Egitto.

E hízolo subir en su segundo carro, y pregonaron delante de él: Doblad la rodilla: y púsole sobre toda la tierra de Egipto.

And he made him to ride in the second chariot which he had; and they cried before him, Bow the knee: and he made him ruler over all the land of Egypt.

Faraone disse ancora a Giuseppe: Io son Faraone; niuno leverà il piè, nè la mano, in tutto il paese di Egitto, senza te.

Y dijo Faraón á José: Yo Faraón; y sin ti ninguno alzará su mano ni su pie en toda la tierra de Egipto.

And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I am Pharaoh, and without thee shall no man lift up his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt.

Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I am Pharaoh. Without you, no man shall lift up his hand or his foot in all the land of Egypt.”

E Faraone pose nome a Giuseppe Safenatpaanea; e gli diede per moglie Asenat, figliuola di Potifera, Governatore di On. E Giuseppe andò attorno per lo paese di Egitto

Y llamó Faraón el nombre de José, Zaphnath-paaneah; y dióle por mujer á Asenath, hija de Potipherah, sacerdote de On. Y salió José por toda la tierra de Egipto.

And Pharaoh called Joseph’s name Zaphnath-paaneah; and he gave him to wife Asenath the daughter of Poti-pherah priest of On. And Joseph went out over all the land of Egypt.

Pharaoh called Joseph’s name Zaphenath-Paneah. He gave him Asenath, the daughter of Potiphera priest of On as a wife. Joseph went out over the land of Egypt.

Or Giuseppe era d’età di trent’anni, quando egli si presentò davanti a Faraone, re di Egitto. Giuseppe adunque si partì dal cospetto di Faraone, e passò per tutto il paese di Egitto.

Y era José de edad de treinta años cuando fué presentado delante de Faraón, rey de Egipto: y salió José de delante de Faraón, y transitó por toda la tierra de Egipto.

And Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh, and went throughout all the land of Egypt.

E la terra produsse a menate, ne’ sette anni dell’abbondanza.

E hizo la tierra en aquellos siete años de hartura á montones.

E Giuseppe adunò tutta la vittuaglia di quei sette anni, che furono nel paese di Egitto, e la ripose nelle città; egli ripose in ciascuna tutta la vittuaglia del contado circonvicino.

Y él juntó todo el mantenimiento de los siete años que fueron en la tierra de Egipto, y guardó mantenimiento en las ciudades, poniendo en cada ciudad el mantenimiento del campo de sus alrededores.

And he gathered up all the food of the seven years, which were in the land of Egypt, and laid up the food in the cities: the food of the field, which was round about every city, laid he up in the same.

Giuseppe adunque ammassò grano in grandissima quantità, come la rena del mare; tanto che si rimase di annoverarlo; perciocchè era innumerabile.

And Joseph gathered corn as the sand of the sea, very much, until he left numbering; for it was without number.

Ora, avanti che venisse il primo anno della fame, nacquero a Giuseppe due figliuoli; i quali Asenat, figliuola di Potifera, Governatore di On, gli partorì.

Y nacieron á José dos hijos antes que viniese el primer año del hambre, los cuales le parió Asenath, hija de Potipherah, sacerdote de On.

And unto Joseph were born two sons before the years of famine came, which Asenath the daughter of Poti-pherah priest of On bare unto him.

To Joseph were born two sons before the year of famine came, whom Asenath, the daughter of Potiphera priest of On, bore to him.

E Giuseppe pose nome al primogenito Manasse; perciocchè, disse egli, Iddio mi ha fatto dimenticare ogni affanno, e tutta la casa di mio padre.

Y llamó José el nombre del primogénito Manasés; porque Dios (dijo) me hizo olvidar todo mi trabajo, y toda la casa de mi padre.

And Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh: For God, said he, hath made me forget all my toil, and all my father’s house.

E pose nome al secondo, Efraim; perciocchè, disse egli, Iddio mi ha fatto fruttare nel paese della mia afflizione.

Y el nombre del segundo llamólo Ephraim; porque Dios (dijo) me hizo fértil en la tierra de mi aflicción.
