And Pharaoh was wroth against two of his officers, against the chief of the butlers, and against the chief of the bakers.

And he asked Pharaoh’s officers that were with him in the ward of his lord’s house, saying, Wherefore look ye so sadly to day?

Joseph sprach zu ihm: Dies ist die Bedeutung: die drei Schosse sind drei Tage;

And Joseph said unto him, This is the interpretation of it: The three branches are three days:

in drei Tagen wird der Pharao dein Haupt erhöhen und dich wieder in dein Amt einsetzen, dass du dem Pharao den Becher reichen darfst wie früher, als du sein Mundschenk warst.
Al cabo de tres días Faraón te hará levantar cabeza, y te restituirá á tu puesto: y darás la copa á Faraón en su mano, como solías cuando eras su copero.
Yet within three days shall Pharaoh lift up thine head, and restore thee unto thy place: and thou shalt deliver Pharaoh’s cup into his hand, after the former manner when thou wast his butler.
Within three more days, Pharaoh will lift up your head, and restore you to your office. You will give Pharaoh’s cup into his hand, the way you did when you were his cup bearer.
Aber gedenke meiner, wenn es dir wohlgeht, und erweise mir die Liebe, dass du beim Pharao ein gutes Wort für mich einlegst, und hilf mir, dass ich aus diesem Hause komme.
Acuérdate, pues, de mí para contigo cuando tuvieres ese bien, y ruégote que uses conmigo de misericordia, y hagas mención de mí á Faraón, y me saques de esta casa:
But think on me when it shall be well with thee, and shew kindness, I pray thee, unto me, and make mention of me unto Pharaoh, and bring me out of this house:
But remember me when it is well with you. Please show kindness to me, and make mention of me to Pharaoh, and bring me out of this house.
Denn ich bin schmählich aus dem Lande der Hebräer gestohlen worden, und auch hier habe ich es mit nichts verschuldet, dass sie mich in den Kerker geworfen haben.

in drei Tagen wird der Pharao dein Haupt erhöhen und dich an den Pfahl hängen lassen, und die Vögel werden das Fleisch von dir wegfressen.
Al cabo de tres días quitará Faraón tu cabeza de sobre ti, y te hará colgar en la horca, y las aves comerán tu carne de sobre ti.
Yet within three days shall Pharaoh lift up thy head from off thee, and shall hang thee on a tree; and the birds shall eat thy flesh from off thee.
Within three more days, Pharaoh will lift up your head from off you, and will hang you on a tree; and the birds will eat your flesh from off you.”
Und es geschah am dritten Tage, am Geburtstag des Pharao, da gab er allen seinen Dienern ein Mahl, und er erhöhte das Haupt des Obermundschenken und des Oberbäckers inmitten seiner Diener:
Y fué el tercero día el día del nacimiento de Faraón, é hizo banquete á todos sus sirvientes: y alzó la cabeza del principal de los coperos, y la cabeza del principal de los panaderos, entre sus servidores.
And it came to pass the third day, which was Pharaoh’s birthday, that he made a feast unto all his servants: and he lifted up the head of the chief butler and of the chief baker among his servants.

den Obermundschenken setzte er wieder in sein Amt ein, dass er dem Pharao den Becher reichen durfte,
E hizo volver á su oficio al principal de los coperos; y dió él la copa en mano de Faraón.
And he restored the chief butler unto his butlership again; and he gave the cup into Pharaoh’s hand:
He restored the chief cup bearer to his position again, and he gave the cup into Pharaoh’s hand;
den Oberbäcker aber liess er hängen; wie Joseph es ihnen gedeutet hatte.
Mas hizo ahorcar al principal de los panaderos, como le había declarado José.
But he hanged the chief baker: as Joseph had interpreted to them.

Aber der Obermundschenk gedachte Josephs nicht, sondern vergass ihn.
Y el principal de los coperos no se acordó de José, sino que le olvidó.
