Nach diesen Geschichten begab es sich, daß der Mundschenk des Königs von Ägypten und der oberste Bäcker sich gegen ihren Herrn, den König von Ägypten, versündigten.

Y ACONTECIÓ después de estas cosas, que el copero del rey de Egipto y el panadero delinquieron contra su señor el rey de Egipto.

And it came to pass after these things, that the butler of the king of Egypt and his baker had offended their lord the king of Egypt.

Da ward der Pharao zornig über seine beiden Höflinge, den obersten Mundschenk und den obersten Bäcker,

Y enojóse Faraón contra sus dos eunucos, contra el principal de los coperos, y contra el principal de los panaderos:

And Pharaoh was wroth against two of his officers, against the chief of the butlers, and against the chief of the bakers.

Pharaoh was angry with his two officers, the chief cup bearer and the chief baker.

und ließ sie in Gewahrsam legen im Hause des Obersten der Leibwache, in den Kerker, in welchem Joseph gefangen lag.

Y púsolos en prisión en la casa del capitán de los de la guardia, en la casa de la cárcel donde José estaba preso.

And he put them in ward in the house of the captain of the guard, into the prison, the place where Joseph was bound.

Und der Oberste der Leibwache übertrug Joseph die Sorge für sie, und er diente ihnen, und sie waren längere Zeit im Gefängnis.

Y el capitán de los de la guardia dió cargo de ellos á José, y él les servía: y estuvieron días en la prisión.

And the captain of the guard charged Joseph with them, and he served them: and they continued a season in ward.

The captain of the guard assigned them to Joseph, and he took care of them. They stayed in prison many days.

Und es träumte ihnen beiden in einer Nacht, einem jeden ein Traum von besonderer Bedeutung, dem Mundschenken und dem Bäcker des Königs von Ägypten, die in dem Kerker gefangen lagen.

Y ambos á dos, el copero y el panadero del rey de Egipto, que estaban arrestados en la prisión, vieron un sueño, cada uno su sueño en una misma noche, cada uno conforme á la declaración de su sueño.

And they dreamed a dream both of them, each man his dream in one night, each man according to the interpretation of his dream, the butler and the baker of the king of Egypt, which were bound in the prison.

Als nun Joseph am Morgen zu ihnen kam, sah er sie an und siehe, sie waren verdrießlich.

Y vino á ellos José por la mañana, y mirólos, y he aquí que estaban tristes.

And Joseph came in unto them in the morning, and looked upon them, and, behold, they were sad.

Da fragte er diese Höflinge des Pharao, die mit ihm im Gefängnis seines Herrn waren, und sprach: Warum macht ihr heute ein so finsteres Gesicht?

Y él preguntó á aquellos eunucos de Faraón, que estaban con él en la prisión de la casa de su señor, diciendo: ¿Por qué parecen hoy mal vuestros semblantes?

And he asked Pharaoh’s officers that were with him in the ward of his lord’s house, saying, Wherefore look ye so sadly to day?

He asked Pharaoh’s officers who were with him in custody in his master’s house, saying, “Why do you look so sad today?”

Sie antworteten ihm: Uns hat geträumt; und nun ist kein Ausleger da! Joseph sprach zu ihnen: Kommen nicht die Auslegungen von Gott? Erzählt mir's doch!

Y ellos le dijeron: Hemos tenido un sueño, y no hay quien lo declare. Entonces les dijo José: ¿No son de Dios las declaraciones? Contádmelo ahora.

And they said unto him, We have dreamed a dream, and there is no interpreter of it. And Joseph said unto them, Do not interpretations belong to God? tell me them, I pray you.

They said to him, “We have dreamed a dream, and there is no one who can interpret it.” Joseph said to them, “Don’t interpretations belong to God? Please tell it to me.”

Da erzählte der oberste Mundschenk dem Joseph seinen Traum und sprach: In meinem Traum, siehe, da war ein Weinstock vor mir,

Entonces el principal de los coperos contó su sueño á José, y díjole: Yo soñaba que veía una vid delante de mí,

And the chief butler told his dream to Joseph, and said to him, In my dream, behold, a vine was before me;

The chief cup bearer told his dream to Joseph, and said to him, “In my dream, behold, a vine was in front of me,

und an dem Weinstock waren drei Schosse; und er grünte und blühte und seine Trauben wurden reif.

Y en la vid tres sarmientos; y ella como que brotaba, y arrojaba su flor, viniendo á madurar sus racimos de uvas:

And in the vine were three branches: and it was as though it budded, and her blossoms shot forth; and the clusters thereof brought forth ripe grapes:

and in the vine were three branches. It was as though it budded, it blossomed, and its clusters produced ripe grapes.

Ich aber hatte den Becher des Pharao in der Hand.

Y que la copa de Faraón estaba en mi mano, y tomaba yo las uvas, y las exprimía en la copa de Faraón, y daba yo la copa en mano de Faraón.

And Pharaoh’s cup was in my hand: and I took the grapes, and pressed them into Pharaoh’s cup, and I gave the cup into Pharaoh’s hand.

Pharaoh’s cup was in my hand; and I took the grapes, and pressed them into Pharaoh’s cup, and I gave the cup into Pharaoh’s hand.”

Joseph sprach zu ihm: Dies ist die Bedeutung: Die drei Schosse sind drei Tage;

Y díjole José: Esta es su declaración: Los tres sarmientos son tres días:

And Joseph said unto him, This is the interpretation of it: The three branches are three days:

Joseph said to him, “This is its interpretation: the three branches are three days.

in drei Tagen wird der Pharao dein Haupt erheben und dich wieder in dein Amt einsetzen, daß du dem Pharao den Becher reichest, wie du früher zu tun pflegtest, da du noch sein Mundschenk warst.

Al cabo de tres días Faraón te hará levantar cabeza, y te restituirá á tu puesto: y darás la copa á Faraón en su mano, como solías cuando eras su copero.

Yet within three days shall Pharaoh lift up thine head, and restore thee unto thy place: and thou shalt deliver Pharaoh’s cup into his hand, after the former manner when thou wast his butler.

Within three more days, Pharaoh will lift up your head, and restore you to your office. You will give Pharaoh’s cup into his hand, the way you did when you were his cup bearer.

Solltest du dann etwa an mich denken, wenn es dir gut geht, so tue Barmherzigkeit an mir und empfiehl mich dem Pharao, daß er mich aus diesem Hause entlasse;

Acuérdate, pues, de mí para contigo cuando tuvieres ese bien, y ruégote que uses conmigo de misericordia, y hagas mención de mí á Faraón, y me saques de esta casa:

But think on me when it shall be well with thee, and shew kindness, I pray thee, unto me, and make mention of me unto Pharaoh, and bring me out of this house:

But remember me when it is well with you. Please show kindness to me, and make mention of me to Pharaoh, and bring me out of this house.

denn ich bin aus dem Lande der Hebräer gestohlen worden und habe auch hier gar nichts getan, wofür man mich einzusperren brauchte.

Porque hurtado he sido de la tierra de los Hebreos; y tampoco he hecho aquí porqué me hubiesen de poner en la cárcel.

For indeed I was stolen away out of the land of the Hebrews: and here also have I done nothing that they should put me into the dungeon.

Da nun der oberste Bäcker sah, daß Joseph eine gute Auslegung gegeben hatte, sprach er zu ihm: Siehe, in meinem Traum trug ich drei Körbe auf meinem Kopf,

Y viendo el principal de los panaderos que había declarado para bien, dijo á José: También yo soñaba que veía tres canastillos blancos sobre mi cabeza;

When the chief baker saw that the interpretation was good, he said unto Joseph, I also was in my dream, and, behold, I had three white baskets on my head:

When the chief baker saw that the interpretation was good, he said to Joseph, “I also was in my dream, and behold, three baskets of white bread were on my head.

und im obersten Korb war allerlei Backwerk für den Pharao; und die Vögel fraßen es mir aus dem Korb, der auf meinem Haupte war.

Y en el canastillo más alto había de todas las viandas de Faraón, obra de panadero; y que las aves las comían del canastillo de sobre mi cabeza.

And in the uppermost basket there was of all manner of bakemeats for Pharaoh; and the birds did eat them out of the basket upon my head.

In the uppermost basket there were all kinds of baked food for Pharaoh, and the birds ate them out of the basket on my head.”

Da antwortete Joseph und sprach: Dies ist die Bedeutung: Die drei Körbe sind drei Tage;

Entonces respondió José, y dijo: Esta es su declaración: Los tres canastillos tres días son;

And Joseph answered and said, This is the interpretation thereof: The three baskets are three days:

Joseph answered, “This is its interpretation. The three baskets are three days.

in drei Tagen wird der Pharao dich hinrichten und ans Holz hängen lassen, daß die Vögel dein Fleisch fressen werden.

Al cabo de tres días quitará Faraón tu cabeza de sobre ti, y te hará colgar en la horca, y las aves comerán tu carne de sobre ti.

Yet within three days shall Pharaoh lift up thy head from off thee, and shall hang thee on a tree; and the birds shall eat thy flesh from off thee.

Within three more days, Pharaoh will lift up your head from off you, and will hang you on a tree; and the birds will eat your flesh from off you.”

Und es begab sich am dritten Tag, dem Geburtstag des Pharao, als er für alle seine Knechte ein Mahl veranstaltete, daß er das Haupt des obersten Mundschenken und des obersten Bäckers unter allen seinen Knechten erhob;

Y fué el tercero día el día del nacimiento de Faraón, é hizo banquete á todos sus sirvientes: y alzó la cabeza del principal de los coperos, y la cabeza del principal de los panaderos, entre sus servidores.

And it came to pass the third day, which was Pharaoh’s birthday, that he made a feast unto all his servants: and he lifted up the head of the chief butler and of the chief baker among his servants.

On the third day, which was Pharaoh’s birthday, he made a feast for all his servants, and he lifted up the head of the chief cup bearer and the head of the chief baker among his servants.

und den obersten Mundschenken setzte er wieder ein in sein Schenkamt, daß er dem Pharao den Becher in die Hand geben durfte;

E hizo volver á su oficio al principal de los coperos; y dió él la copa en mano de Faraón.

And he restored the chief butler unto his butlership again; and he gave the cup into Pharaoh’s hand:

He restored the chief cup bearer to his position again, and he gave the cup into Pharaoh’s hand;

aber den obersten Bäcker ließ er hängen; wie Joseph ihnen gedeutet hatte.

Mas hizo ahorcar al principal de los panaderos, como le había declarado José.

But he hanged the chief baker: as Joseph had interpreted to them.

but he hanged the chief baker, as Joseph had interpreted to them.

Aber der oberste Mundschenk dachte nicht an Joseph, sondern vergaß ihn.

Y el principal de los coperos no se acordó de José, sino que le olvidó.

Yet did not the chief butler remember Joseph, but forgat him.

Yet the chief cup bearer didn’t remember Joseph, but forgot him.
