Y ellos le dijeron: Hemos tenido un sueño, y no hay quien lo declare. Entonces les dijo José: ¿No son de Dios las declaraciones? Contádmelo ahora.
And they said unto him, We have dreamed a dream, and there is no interpreter of it. And Joseph said unto them, Do not interpretations belong to God? tell me them, I pray you.
They said to him, “We have dreamed a dream, and there is no one who can interpret it.” Joseph said to them, “Don’t interpretations belong to God? Please tell it to me.”

La quale avea tre tralci, che gettavano a poco a poco gli occhi, e poi i fiori, e poi le uve, che maturavano:

Dopo de' quali si ricorderà Faraone dei tuoi servigi, e ti renderà il posto di prima: e presenterai a lui la coppa secondo il tuo uffizio, come per l'avanti solevi fare.
Al cabo de tres días Faraón te hará levantar cabeza, y te restituirá á tu puesto: y darás la copa á Faraón en su mano, como solías cuando eras su copero.
Yet within three days shall Pharaoh lift up thine head, and restore thee unto thy place: and thou shalt deliver Pharaoh’s cup into his hand, after the former manner when thou wast his butler.
Within three more days, Pharaoh will lift up your head, and restore you to your office. You will give Pharaoh’s cup into his hand, the way you did when you were his cup bearer.
Solamente ricordati di me, quando sarai felice, e abbi compassione di me: e sollecita Faraone, che mi tragga da questa prigione:
Acuérdate, pues, de mí para contigo cuando tuvieres ese bien, y ruégote que uses conmigo de misericordia, y hagas mención de mí á Faraón, y me saques de esta casa:
But think on me when it shall be well with thee, and shew kindness, I pray thee, unto me, and make mention of me unto Pharaoh, and bring me out of this house:

Perocché con frode fui condotto via dalla terra degli Ebrei, e innocente fui gettato in questa fossa.

Rispose Giuseppe: La sposizione del sogno è questa: tre canestri, cioè tre giorni vi sono ancora,

Dopo i quali Faraone ti farà tagliare il capo, e ti farà crocifiggere, e gli uccelli dell'aria beccheranno le tue carni.
Al cabo de tres días quitará Faraón tu cabeza de sobre ti, y te hará colgar en la horca, y las aves comerán tu carne de sobre ti.
Yet within three days shall Pharaoh lift up thy head from off thee, and shall hang thee on a tree; and the birds shall eat thy flesh from off thee.
Within three more days, Pharaoh will lift up your head from off you, and will hang you on a tree; and the birds will eat your flesh from off you.”
Il terzo giorno di poi era il dì della nascita di Faraone; il quale facendo un gran convito a' suoi servi si ricordò a mensa del capo dei coppieri, e del capo dei panattieri,
Y fué el tercero día el día del nacimiento de Faraón, é hizo banquete á todos sus sirvientes: y alzó la cabeza del principal de los coperos, y la cabeza del principal de los panaderos, entre sus servidores.
And it came to pass the third day, which was Pharaoh’s birthday, that he made a feast unto all his servants: and he lifted up the head of the chief butler and of the chief baker among his servants.

E rendé all'uno il suo uffizio di presentargli la coppa:
E hizo volver á su oficio al principal de los coperos; y dió él la copa en mano de Faraón.
And he restored the chief butler unto his butlership again; and he gave the cup into Pharaoh’s hand:

E l'altro fece appiccare a una croce, onde fu dimostrata la veracità dell'interprete.
Mas hizo ahorcar al principal de los panaderos, como le había declarado José.

Ma tornato in prosperità il capo dei coppieri si scordò del suo interprete. Non potendo alcuno interpretare i sogni di Faraone, gli spiega Giuseppe: quindi è fatto soprintendente di tutto l'Egitto. Faraone gli dà per moglie Aseneth, dalla quale ha due figliuoli prima dei sette anni di carestia. Succede finalmente la sterilità all'abbondanza.
Y el principal de los coperos no se acordó de José, sino que le olvidó.
Yet did not the chief butler remember Joseph, but forgat him.
Yet the chief cup bearer didn’t remember Joseph, but forgot him.
