Ma il serpente era il più astuto di tutti gli animali della terra fatti dal Signore Dio. Questi disse alla donna: Per qual motivo comandovvi Iddio, che non di tutte le piante del paradiso mangiaste i frutti?
EMPERO la serpiente era astuta, más que todos los animales del campo que Jehová Dios había hecho; la cual dijo á la mujer: ¿Conque Dios os ha dicho: No comáis de todo árbol del huerto?
Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
Now the serpent was more subtle than any animal of the field which the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, “Has God really said, ‘You shall not eat of any tree of the garden’?”
Cui rispose la donna: Del frutto delle piante, che sono nel paradiso, noi ne mangiamo:
Y la mujer respondió á la serpiente: Del fruto de los árboles del huerto comemos;
And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees of the garden,
Ma del frutto dell'albero, che è nel mezzo del paradiso, ci ordinò il Signore di non mangiare, e di non toccare, affinché per disgrazia noi non abbiamo a morire.
Mas del fruto del árbol que está en medio del huerto dijo Dios: No comeréis de él, ni le tocaréis, porque no muráis.
But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

Ma il serpente disse alla donna: Assolutamente voi non morrete.
Entonces la serpiente dijo á la mujer: No moriréis;
And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
The serpent said to the woman, “You won’t really die,
Imperocché sa Dio, che in qualunque tempo ne mangerete, si apriranno i vostri occhi: e sarete come Dei, conoscitori del bene, e del male.
Mas sabe Dios que el día que comiereis de él, serán abiertos vuestros ojos, y seréis como dioses sabiendo el bien y el mal.
For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
for God knows that in the day you eat it, your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”
Vide adunque la donna, che il frutto dell'albero era buono a mangiarsi, e bello a vedere, e appetitoso all'aspetto: e colse il frutto, e mangiollo; e ne diede a suo marito, il quale ne mangiò.
Y vió la mujer que el árbol era bueno para comer, y que era agradable á los ojos, y árbol codiciable para alcanzar la sabiduría; y tomó de su fruto, y comió; y dió también á su marido, el cual comió así como ella.

E avendo udita la voce del Signore Dio, che camminava nel paradiso nel tempo, che levasi il vento dopo il mezzodì, si nascose Adamo, e la sua moglie alla vista del Signore in mezzo agli alberi del paradiso.
Y oyeron la voz de Jehová Dios que se paseaba en el huerto al aire del día: y escondióse el hombre y su mujer de la presencia de Jehová Dios entre los árboles del huerto.
And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.

E il Signore Dio chiamò Adamo, e dissegli: Dove sei tu?
Y llamó Jehová Dios al hombre, y le dijo: ¿Dónde estás tú?
And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?
The LORD God called to the man, and said to him, “Where are you?”
E quegli rispose: Ho udito la tua voce nel paradiso: ed ho avuto ribrezzo, perché era ignudo, e mi sono ascoso.
Y él respondió: Oí tu voz en el huerto, y tuve miedo, porque estaba desnudo; y escondíme.
And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.
The man said, “I heard your voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; so I hid myself.”
A cui disse Dio: Ma e chi ti fece conoscere, che eri ignudo, se non l'aver tu mangiato del frutto, del quale io aveva a te comandato di non mangiare?
Y díjole: ¿Quién te enseñó que estabas desnudo? ¿Has comido del árbol de que yo te mandé no comieses?
And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?
God said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?”
E Adamo disse: La donna datami da te per compagna, mi ha dato del frutto, e l'ho io mangiato.
Y el hombre respondió: La mujer que me diste por compañera me dió del árbol, y yo comí.
And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.
The man said, “The woman whom you gave to be with me, she gave me fruit from the tree, and I ate it.”
E il Signore Dio disse alla donna: Perché facesti tal cosa? Ed ella rispose: Il serpente mi ha sedotta, ed io ho mangiato.
Entonces Jehová Dios dijo á la mujer: ¿Qué es lo que has hecho? Y dijo la mujer: La serpiente me engañó, y comí.
And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.
The LORD God said to the woman, “What have you done?” The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”
E il Signore Dio disse al serpente: Perché tu hai fatto questo, maledetto tu tra tutti gli animali, e le bestie della terra: tu camminerai sul tuo ventre e mangerai terra per tutt'i giorni di tua vita.
Y Jehová Dios dijo á la serpiente: Por cuanto esto hiciste, maldita serás entre todas las bestias y entre todos los animales del campo; sobre tu pecho andarás, y polvo comerás todos los días de tu vida:
And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:
The LORD God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this, you are cursed above all livestock, and above every animal of the field. You shall go on your belly and you shall eat dust all the days of your life.
Porrò inimicizia tra te, e la donna, e tra il seme tuo, e il seme di lei. Ella schiaccerà la tua testa, e tu tenderai insidie al calcagno di lei.
Y enemistad pondré entre ti y la mujer, y entre tu simiente y la simiente suya; ésta te herirá en la cabeza, y tú le herirás en el calcañar.
And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
I will put hostility between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring. He will bruise your head, and you will bruise his heel.”
E alla donna ancor disse: Io moltiplicherò i tuoi affanni e le tue gravidanze; con dolore partorirai i figliuoli, e sarai sotto la potestà del marito, ed ei ti dominerà.
A la mujer dijo: Multiplicaré en gran manera tus dolores y tus preñeces; con dolor parirás los hijos; y á tu marido será tu deseo, y él se enseñoreará de ti.
Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.
To the woman he said, “I will greatly multiply your pain in childbirth. You will bear children in pain. Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you.”
E ad Adamo disse: Perché hai ascoltata la voce della tua consorte, e hai mangiato del frutto, del quale io ti avea comandato di non mangiare, maledetta la terra per quello che tu hai fatto: da lei trarrai con grandi fatiche il nudrimento per tutti i giorni della tua vita.
Y al hombre dijo: Por cuanto obedeciste á la voz de tu mujer, y comiste del árbol de que te mandé diciendo, No comerás de él; maldita será la tierra por amor de ti; con dolor comerás de ella todos los días de tu vida;
And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
To Adam he said, “Because you have listened to your wife’s voice, and have eaten from the tree, about which I commanded you, saying, ‘You shall not eat of it,’ the ground is cursed for your sake. You will eat from it with much labor all the days of your life.
Ella produrrà per te spine e triboli, e mangerai l'erba della terra.
Espinos y cardos te producirá, y comerás hierba del campo;
Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;
It will yield thorns and thistles to you; and you will eat the herb of the field.
Mediante il sudore della tua faccia mangerai il tuo pane, fino a tanto che tu ritorni alla terra, dalla quale sei stato tratto: perocché tu sei polvere, e in polvere tornerai.
En el sudor de tu rostro comerás el pan hasta que vuelvas á la tierra; porque de ella fuiste tomado: pues polvo eres, y al polvo serás tornado.
In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.
You will eat bread by the sweat of your face until you return to the ground, for you were taken out of it. For you are dust, and you shall return to dust.”
E Adamo pose alla sua moglie il nome di Eva, perché ella era per esser la madre di tutti i viventi.
Y llamó el hombre el nombre de su mujer, Eva; por cuanto ella era madre de todos los vivientes.
And Adam called his wife’s name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.
The man called his wife Eve because she would be the mother of all the living.
E fece ancora il Signore Dio ad Adamo, e alla sua moglie delle tonache di pelle, delle quali li rivestì.
Y Jehová Dios hizo al hombre y á su mujer túnicas de pieles, y vistiólos.
Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.
The LORD God made garments of animal skins for Adam and for his wife, and clothed them.
E disse: Ecco, che Adamo è diventato come uno di noi, conoscitore del bene, e del male: ora adunque, che a sorte non istenda egli la mano sua, e colga dell'albero della vita; e ne mangi, e viva in eterno.
Y dijo Jehová Dios: He aquí el hombre es como uno de Nos sabiendo el bien y el mal: ahora, pues, porque no alargue su mano, y tome también del árbol de la vida, y coma, y viva para siempre:
And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
The LORD God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of us, knowing good and evil. Now, lest he reach out his hand, and also take of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever—”
E il Signore Dio lo discacciò dal paradiso di delizie, affinché lavorasse la terra: da cui era stato tratto.
Y sacólo Jehová del huerto de Edén, para que labrase la tierra de que fué tomado.

E discacciatone Adamo, collocò davanti al paradiso di delizie un Cherubino con una spada, che gettava fiamme, e faceva ruota a custodire la strada, che menava all'albero della vita. Adamo genera di Eva Caino, e Abele. L'empio Caino uccide il fratello Abele; e punito da Dio mena vita di vagabondo; e genera Enoc. Adamo parimente genera Seth, di cui fu figliuolo Enos.
Echó, pues, fuera al hombre, y puso al oriente del huerto de Edén querubines, y una espada encendida que se revolvía á todos lados, para guardar el camino del árbol de la vida.
