17Y Dios le dijo a Adán: “Por haber hecho lo que te dijo tu esposa, y comiste del fruto del árbol sobre el cual te dije ‘No comas del fruto de este árbol,’ el suelo ahora estará maldito por tu culpa. Tendrás que trabajar arduamente para cultivar los alimentos durante toda tu vida.

17Y al hombre dijo: Por cuanto obedeciste á la voz de tu mujer, y comiste del árbol de que te mandé diciendo, No comerás de él; maldita será la tierra por amor de ti; con dolor comerás de ella todos los días de tu vida;

17And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;

17To Adam he said, “Because you have listened to your wife’s voice, and have eaten from the tree, about which I commanded you, saying, ‘You shall not eat of it,’ the ground is cursed for your sake. You will eat from it with much labor all the days of your life.
