17Et à Adam il dit : Parce que tu as écouté la voix de ta femme et que tu as mangé de l’arbre au sujet duquel je t’ai commandé, disant : Tu n’en mangeras pas, – maudit est le sol à cause de toi ; tu en mangeras [en travaillant] péniblement tous les jours de ta vie.

17And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
World English Bible
17To Adam he said, “Because you have listened to your wife’s voice, and have eaten from the tree, about which I commanded you, saying, ‘You shall not eat of it,’ the ground is cursed for your sake. You will eat from it with much labor all the days of your life.
