Génesis 38

Es begab sich um jene Zeit, daß Juda von seinen Brüdern hinabzog und sich zu einem Adullamiter wandte, der Hira hieß.

Y ACONTECIÓ en aquel tiempo, que Judá descendió de con sus hermanos, y fuése á un varón Adullamita, que se llamaba Hira.

And it came to pass at that time, that Judah went down from his brethren, and turned in to a certain Adullamite, whose name was Hirah.

At that time, Judah went down from his brothers, and visited a certain Adullamite, whose name was Hirah.

Und Juda sah daselbst die Tochter eines Kanaaniters, der Schua hieß, und er nahm sie und kam zu ihr.

Y vió allí Judá la hija de un hombre Cananeo, el cual se llamaba Súa; y tomóla, y entró á ella:

And Judah saw there a daughter of a certain Canaanite, whose name was Shuah; and he took her, and went in unto her.

There, Judah saw the daughter of a certain Canaanite man named Shua. He took her, and went in to her.

Und sie empfing und gebar einen Sohn, den hieß sie Er.

La cual concibió, y parió un hijo; y llamó su nombre Er.

And she conceived, and bare a son; and he called his name Er.

She conceived, and bore a son; and he named him Er.

Und sie empfing abermal und gebar einen Sohn, den hieß sie Onan.

Y concibió otra vez, y parió un hijo, y llamó su nombre Onán.

And she conceived again, and bare a son; and she called his name Onan.

She conceived again, and bore a son; and she named him Onan.

Sie fuhr fort und gebar einen Sohn, den hieß sie Sela. Er war aber zu Kesib, als sie denselben gebar.

Y volvió á concebir, y parió un hijo, y llamó su nombre Sela. Y estaba en Chezib cuando lo parió.

And she yet again conceived, and bare a son; and called his name Shelah: and he was at Chezib, when she bare him.

She yet again bore a son, and named him Shelah. He was at Chezib when she bore him.

Und Juda gab seinem erstgebornen Sohn Er ein Weib, die hieß Tamar.

Y Judá tomó mujer para su primogénito Er, la cual se llamaba Thamar.

And Judah took a wife for Er his firstborn, whose name was Tamar.

Judah took a wife for Er, his firstborn, and her name was Tamar.

Aber Er, der Erstgeborne Judas, war böse vor dem HERRN, darum tötete ihn der HERR.

Y Er, el primogénito de Judá, fué malo á los ojos de Jehová, y quitóle Jehová la vida.

And Er, Judah’s firstborn, was wicked in the sight of the LORD; and the LORD slew him.

Er, Judah’s firstborn, was wicked in the LORD’s sight. So the LORD killed him.

Da sprach Juda zu Onan: Komm zu deines Bruders Weib und vollziehe mit ihr die Pflichtehe, daß du deinem Bruder Samen erweckest!

Entonces Judá dijo á Onán: Entra á la mujer de tu hermano, y despósate con ella, y suscita simiente á tu hermano.

And Judah said unto Onan, Go in unto thy brother’s wife, and marry her, and raise up seed to thy brother.

Judah said to Onan, “Go in to your brother’s wife, and perform the duty of a husband’s brother to her, and raise up offspring for your brother.”

Da aber Onan wußte, daß der Same nicht sein eigen sein sollte, ließ er es, wenn er zu seines Bruders Weib ging, auf die Erde fallen und verderbte es, um seinem Bruder keinen Samen zu geben.

Y sabiendo Onán que la simiente no había de ser suya, sucedía que cuando entraba á la mujer de su hermano vertía en tierra, por no dar simiente á su hermano.

And Onan knew that the seed should not be his; and it came to pass, when he went in unto his brother’s wife, that he spilled it on the ground, lest that he should give seed to his brother.

Onan knew that the offspring wouldn’t be his; and when he went in to his brother’s wife, he spilled his semen on the ground, lest he should give offspring to his brother.

Es gefiel aber dem HERRN übel, was er tat; da tötete er ihn auch.

Y desagradó en ojos de Jehová lo que hacía, y también quitó á él la vida.

And the thing which he did displeased the LORD: wherefore he slew him also.

The thing which he did was evil in the LORD’s sight, and he killed him also.

Da sprach Juda zu Tamar, seines Sohnes Weib: Bleib als Witwe in deines Vaters Hause, bis mein Sohn Sela erwachsen ist! Denn er dachte, vielleicht könnte er auch sterben, wie seine Brüder. Also ging Tamar hin und blieb in ihres Vaters Hause.

Y Judá dijo á Thamar su nuera: Estáte viuda en casa de tu padre, hasta que crezca Sela mi hijo; porque dijo: Que quizá no muera él también como sus hermanos. Y fuése Thamar, y estúvose en casa de su padre.

Then said Judah to Tamar his daughter in law, Remain a widow at thy father’s house, till Shelah my son be grown: for he said, Lest peradventure he die also, as his brethren did. And Tamar went and dwelt in her father’s house.

Then Judah said to Tamar, his daughter-in-law, “Remain a widow in your father’s house, until Shelah, my son, is grown up;” for he said, “Lest he also die, like his brothers.” Tamar went and lived in her father’s house.

Als nun viele Tage verflossen waren, starb Schuas Tochter, Judas Weib. Und nachdem Juda ausgetrauert hatte, ging er hinauf zu seinen Schafherden gen Timna, er und Hira, sein Freund von Adullam.

Y pasaron muchos días, y murió la hija de Súa, mujer de Judá; y Judá se consoló, y subía á los trasquiladores de sus ovejas á Timnath, él y su amigo Hira el Adullamita.

And in process of time the daughter of Shuah Judah’s wife died; and Judah was comforted, and went up unto his sheepshearers to Timnath, he and his friend Hirah the Adullamite.

After many days, Shua’s daughter, the wife of Judah, died. Judah was comforted, and went up to his sheep shearers to Timnah, he and his friend Hirah, the Adullamite.

Da ward der Tamar angesagt: Siehe, dein Schwiegervater geht hinauf nach Timna, seine Schafe zu scheren!

Y fué dado aviso á Thamar, diciendo: He aquí tu suegro sube á Timnath á trasquilar sus ovejas.

And it was told Tamar, saying, Behold thy father in law goeth up to Timnath to shear his sheep.

Tamar was told, “Behold, your father-in-law is going up to Timnah to shear his sheep.”

Da legte sie die Witwenkleider von sich, die sie trug, bedeckte sich mit einem Schleier und verhüllte sich und setzte sich ans Tor von Enaim, am Wege nach Timna. Denn sie sah, daß Sela erwachsen war und sie ihm nicht zum Weibe gegeben wurde.

Entonces quitó ella de sobre sí los vestidos de su viudez, y cubrióse con un velo, y arrebozóse, y se puso á la puerta de las aguas que están junto al camino de Timnath; porque veía que había crecido Sela, y ella no era dada á él por mujer.

And she put her widow’s garments off from her, and covered her with a vail, and wrapped herself, and sat in an open place, which is by the way to Timnath; for she saw that Shelah was grown, and she was not given unto him to wife.

She took off the garments of her widowhood, and covered herself with her veil, and wrapped herself, and sat in the gate of Enaim, which is on the way to Timnah; for she saw that Shelah was grown up, and she wasn’t given to him as a wife.

Als nun Juda sie sah, glaubte er, sie sei eine Dirne; denn sie hatte ihr Angesicht bedeckt.

Y vióla Judá, y túvola por ramera, porque había ella cubierto su rostro.

When Judah saw her, he thought her to be an harlot; because she had covered her face.

When Judah saw her, he thought that she was a prostitute, for she had covered her face.

Und er machte sich zu ihr am Wege und sprach: Laß mich doch zu dir kommen! Denn er wußte nicht, daß sie seines Sohnes Weib war. Sie antwortete: Was willst du mir geben, daß du zu mir kommest?

Y apartóse del camino hacia ella, y díjole: Ea, pues, ahora entraré á ti; porque no sabía que era su nuera; y ella dijo: ¿Qué me has de dar, si entrares á mí?

And he turned unto her by the way, and said, Go to, I pray thee, let me come in unto thee; (for he knew not that she was his daughter in law.) And she said, What wilt thou give me, that thou mayest come in unto me?

He turned to her by the way, and said, “Please come, let me come in to you,” for he didn’t know that she was his daughter-in-law. She said, “What will you give me, that you may come in to me?”

Er sprach: Ich will dir einen Ziegenbock von der Herde schicken! Sie antwortete: So gib mir ein Pfand, bis du mir ihn schickst!

El respondió: Yo te enviaré del ganado un cabrito de las cabras. Y ella dijo: Hasme de dar prenda hasta que lo envíes.

And he said, I will send thee a kid from the flock. And she said, Wilt thou give me a pledge, till thou send it?

He said, “I will send you a young goat from the flock.” She said, “Will you give me a pledge, until you send it?”

Er sprach: Was willst du, daß ich dir zum Pfand gebe? Sie antwortete: Deinen Ring und deine Schnur und deinen Stab, den du in deinen Händen hast! Da gab er es ihr und ging zu ihr, und sie ward von ihm schwanger.

Entonces él dijo: ¿Qué prenda te daré? Ella respondió: Tu anillo, y tu manto, y tu bordón que tienes en tu mano. Y él se los dió, y entró á ella, la cual concibió de él.

And he said, What pledge shall I give thee? And she said, Thy signet, and thy bracelets, and thy staff that is in thine hand. And he gave it her, and came in unto her, and she conceived by him.

He said, “What pledge will I give you?” She said, “Your signet and your cord, and your staff that is in your hand.” He gave them to her, and came in to her, and she conceived by him.

Und sie machte sich auf und ging hin und tat ihren Schleier ab und legte wieder ihre Witwenkleider an.

Y levantóse, y fuése: y quitóse el velo de sobre sí, y vistióse las ropas de su viudez.

And she arose, and went away, and laid by her vail from her, and put on the garments of her widowhood.

She arose, and went away, and put off her veil from her, and put on the garments of her widowhood.

Juda aber sandte den Ziegenbock durch seinen Freund, den Adullamiter, um das Pfand von dem Weibe zurückzuerhalten; aber er fand sie nicht.

Y Judá envió el cabrito de las cabras por mano de su amigo el Adullamita, para que tomase la prenda de mano de la mujer; mas no la halló.

And Judah sent the kid by the hand of his friend the Adullamite, to receive his pledge from the woman’s hand: but he found her not.

Judah sent the young goat by the hand of his friend, the Adullamite, to receive the pledge from the woman’s hand, but he didn’t find her.

Da fragte er die Leute an jenem Ort und sprach: Wo ist die Dirne, die bei Enaim am Wege saß? Sie antworteten: Es ist keine Dirne hier gewesen!

Y preguntó á los hombres de aquel lugar, diciendo: ¿Dónde está la ramera de las aguas junto al camino? Y ellos le dijeron: No ha estado aquí ramera.

Then he asked the men of that place, saying, Where is the harlot, that was openly by the way side? And they said, There was no harlot in this place.

Then he asked the men of her place, saying, “Where is the prostitute, that was at Enaim by the road?” They said, “There has been no prostitute here.”

Und er kam wieder zu Juda und sprach: Ich habe sie nicht gefunden; dazu sagen die Leute an jenem Ort, es sei keine Dirne dort gewesen.

Entonces él se volvió á Judá, y dijo: No la he hallado; y también los hombres del lugar dijeron: Aquí no ha estado ramera.

And he returned to Judah, and said, I cannot find her; and also the men of the place said, that there was no harlot in this place.

He returned to Judah, and said, “I haven’t found her; and also the men of the place said, ‘There has been no prostitute here.’”

Juda sprach: So soll sie das Pfand für sich behalten, damit wir nicht zuschanden werden! Siehe, ich habe den Bock geschickt, aber du hast sie nicht gefunden.

Y Judá dijo: Tómeselo para sí, porque no seamos menospreciados: he aquí yo he enviado este cabrito, y tú no la hallaste.

And Judah said, Let her take it to her, lest we be shamed: behold, I sent this kid, and thou hast not found her.

Judah said, “Let her keep it, lest we be shamed. Behold, I sent this young goat, and you haven’t found her.”

Aber nach drei Monaten ward Juda angezeigt: Deine Sohnsfrau Tamar hat gehurt, dazu siehe, ist sie von Hurerei schwanger geworden! Juda sprach: Führt sie hinaus, daß sie verbrannt werde!

Y acaeció que al cabo de unos tres meses fué dado aviso á Judá, diciendo: Thamar tu nuera ha fornicado, y aun cierto está preñada de las fornicaciones. Y Judá dijo: Sacadla, y sea quemada.

And it came to pass about three months after, that it was told Judah, saying, Tamar thy daughter in law hath played the harlot; and also, behold, she is with child by whoredom. And Judah said, Bring her forth, and let her be burnt.

About three months later, Judah was told, “Tamar, your daughter-in-law, has played the prostitute. Moreover, behold, she is with child by prostitution.” Judah said, “Bring her out, and let her be burned.”

Und als man sie hinausführte, schickte sie zu ihrem Schwiegervater und sprach: Von dem Manne bin ich schwanger geworden, dem das gehört. Und sie sprach: Untersuche doch, wem gehört dieser Ring und die Schnur und der Stab?

Y ella, cuando la sacaban, envió á decir á su suegro: Del varón cuyas son estas cosas, estoy preñada: y dijo más: Mira ahora cúyas son estas cosas, el anillo, y el manto, y el bordón.

When she was brought forth, she sent to her father in law, saying, By the man, whose these are, am I with child: and she said, Discern, I pray thee, whose are these, the signet, and bracelets, and staff.

When she was brought out, she sent to her father-in-law, saying, “I am with child by the man who owns these.” She also said, “Please discern whose these are—the signet, and the cords, and the staff.”

Juda sah genauer zu und sprach: Sie ist gerechter als ich; denn ich habe sie nicht meinem Sohn Sela gegeben! Doch erkannte er sie nicht mehr.

Entonces Judá los reconoció, y dijo: Más justa es que yo, por cuanto no la he dado á Sela mi hijo. Y nunca más la conoció.

And Judah acknowledged them, and said, She hath been more righteous than I; because that I gave her not to Shelah my son. And he knew her again no more.

Judah acknowledged them, and said, “She is more righteous than I, because I didn’t give her to Shelah, my son.” He knew her again no more.

Und als sie gebären sollte, siehe, da waren Zwillinge in ihrem Leibe.

Y aconteció que al tiempo del parir, he aquí había dos en su vientre.

And it came to pass in the time of her travail, that, behold, twins were in her womb.

In the time of her travail, behold, twins were in her womb.

Und als sie gebar, kam eine Hand heraus; da nahm die Hebamme einen roten Faden und band ihn darum und sprach: Der ist zuerst herausgekommen!

Y sucedió, cuando paría, que sacó la mano el uno, y la partera tomó y ató á su mano un hilo de grana, diciendo: Este salió primero.

And it came to pass, when she travailed, that the one put out his hand: and the midwife took and bound upon his hand a scarlet thread, saying, This came out first.

When she travailed, one put out a hand, and the midwife took and tied a scarlet thread on his hand, saying, “This came out first.”

Als dieser aber seine Hand wieder hineinzog, siehe, da kam sein Bruder heraus. Und sie sprach: Warum hast du dir einen solchen Riß gemacht? Und man hieß ihn Perez.

Empero fué que tornando él á meter la mano, he aquí su hermano salió; y ella dijo: ¿Por qué has hecho sobre ti rotura? Y llamó su nombre Phares.

And it came to pass, as he drew back his hand, that, behold, his brother came out: and she said, How hast thou broken forth? this breach be upon thee: therefore his name was called Pharez.

As he drew back his hand, behold, his brother came out, and she said, “Why have you made a breach for yourself?” Therefore his name was called Perez.

Darnach kam sein Bruder heraus, der den roten Faden um die Hand hatte; man hieß ihn Serach.

Y después salió su hermano, el que tenía en su mano el hilo de grana, y llamó su nombre Zara.

And afterward came out his brother, that had the scarlet thread upon his hand: and his name was called Zarah.

Afterward his brother came out, who had the scarlet thread on his hand, and his name was called Zerah.
