Génesis 38

Es begab sich um dieselbige Zeit, daß Juda hinabzog von seinen Brüdern und tat sich zu einem Mann von Odollam, der hieß Hira.

Y ACONTECIÓ en aquel tiempo, que Judá descendió de con sus hermanos, y fuése á un varón Adullamita, que se llamaba Hira.

And it came to pass at that time, that Judah went down from his brethren, and turned in to a certain Adullamite, whose name was Hirah.

At that time, Judah went down from his brothers, and visited a certain Adullamite, whose name was Hirah.

Und Juda sah daselbst eines Kanaaniter-Mannes Tochter, der hieß Suah; und nahm sie. Und da er sie beschlief,

Y vió allí Judá la hija de un hombre Cananeo, el cual se llamaba Súa; y tomóla, y entró á ella:

And Judah saw there a daughter of a certain Canaanite, whose name was Shuah; and he took her, and went in unto her.

There, Judah saw the daughter of a certain Canaanite man named Shua. He took her, and went in to her.

ward sie schwanger und gebar einen Sohn, den hieß er Ger.

La cual concibió, y parió un hijo; y llamó su nombre Er.

And she conceived, and bare a son; and he called his name Er.

She conceived, and bore a son; and he named him Er.

Und sie ward aber schwanger und gebar einen Sohn, den hieß sie Onan.

Y concibió otra vez, y parió un hijo, y llamó su nombre Onán.

And she conceived again, and bare a son; and she called his name Onan.

She conceived again, and bore a son; and she named him Onan.

Sie gebar abermal einen Sohn, den hieß sie Sela; und er war zu Chesib, da sie ihn gebar.

Y volvió á concebir, y parió un hijo, y llamó su nombre Sela. Y estaba en Chezib cuando lo parió.

And she yet again conceived, and bare a son; and called his name Shelah: and he was at Chezib, when she bare him.

She yet again bore a son, and named him Shelah. He was at Chezib when she bore him.

Und Juda gab seinem ersten Sohn Ger ein Weib, die hieß Thamar.

Y Judá tomó mujer para su primogénito Er, la cual se llamaba Thamar.

And Judah took a wife for Er his firstborn, whose name was Tamar.

Judah took a wife for Er, his firstborn, and her name was Tamar.

Aber er war böse vor dem HERRN; darum tötete ihn der HERR.

Y Er, el primogénito de Judá, fué malo á los ojos de Jehová, y quitóle Jehová la vida.

And Er, Judah’s firstborn, was wicked in the sight of the LORD; and the LORD slew him.

Er, Judah’s firstborn, was wicked in the LORD’s sight. So the LORD killed him.

Da sprach Juda zu Onan: Lege dich zu deines Bruders Weib und nimm sie zur Ehe, daß du deinem Bruder Samen erweckest.

Entonces Judá dijo á Onán: Entra á la mujer de tu hermano, y despósate con ella, y suscita simiente á tu hermano.

And Judah said unto Onan, Go in unto thy brother’s wife, and marry her, and raise up seed to thy brother.

Judah said to Onan, “Go in to your brother’s wife, and perform the duty of a husband’s brother to her, and raise up offspring for your brother.”

Aber da Onan wußte, daß der Same nicht sein eigen sein sollte, wenn er sich zu seines Bruders Weib legte, ließ er's auf die Erde fallen und verderbete es, auf daß er seinem Bruder nicht Samen gäbe.

Y sabiendo Onán que la simiente no había de ser suya, sucedía que cuando entraba á la mujer de su hermano vertía en tierra, por no dar simiente á su hermano.

And Onan knew that the seed should not be his; and it came to pass, when he went in unto his brother’s wife, that he spilled it on the ground, lest that he should give seed to his brother.

Onan knew that the offspring wouldn’t be his; and when he went in to his brother’s wife, he spilled his semen on the ground, lest he should give offspring to his brother.

Das gefiel dem HERRN übel, das er tat, und tötete ihn auch.

Y desagradó en ojos de Jehová lo que hacía, y también quitó á él la vida.

And the thing which he did displeased the LORD: wherefore he slew him also.

The thing which he did was evil in the LORD’s sight, and he killed him also.

Da sprach Juda zu seiner Schnur Thamar: Bleibe eine Witwe in deines Vaters Hause, bis mein Sohn Sela groß wird. Denn er gedachte: Vielleicht möchte er auch sterben wie seine Brüder. Also ging Thamar hin und blieb in ihres Vaters Hause.

Y Judá dijo á Thamar su nuera: Estáte viuda en casa de tu padre, hasta que crezca Sela mi hijo; porque dijo: Que quizá no muera él también como sus hermanos. Y fuése Thamar, y estúvose en casa de su padre.

Then said Judah to Tamar his daughter in law, Remain a widow at thy father’s house, till Shelah my son be grown: for he said, Lest peradventure he die also, as his brethren did. And Tamar went and dwelt in her father’s house.

Then Judah said to Tamar, his daughter-in-law, “Remain a widow in your father’s house, until Shelah, my son, is grown up;” for he said, “Lest he also die, like his brothers.” Tamar went and lived in her father’s house.

Da nun viele Tage verlaufen waren, starb des Suah Tochter, Judas Weib. Und nachdem Juda ausgetrauert hatte, ging er hinauf, seine Schafe zu scheren, gen Thimnath mit seinem Hirten Hira von Odollam.

Y pasaron muchos días, y murió la hija de Súa, mujer de Judá; y Judá se consoló, y subía á los trasquiladores de sus ovejas á Timnath, él y su amigo Hira el Adullamita.

And in process of time the daughter of Shuah Judah’s wife died; and Judah was comforted, and went up unto his sheepshearers to Timnath, he and his friend Hirah the Adullamite.

After many days, Shua’s daughter, the wife of Judah, died. Judah was comforted, and went up to his sheep shearers to Timnah, he and his friend Hirah, the Adullamite.

Da ward der Thamar angesagt: Siehe, dein Schwäher gehet hinauf gen Thimnath, seine Schafe zu scheren.

Y fué dado aviso á Thamar, diciendo: He aquí tu suegro sube á Timnath á trasquilar sus ovejas.

And it was told Tamar, saying, Behold thy father in law goeth up to Timnath to shear his sheep.

Tamar was told, “Behold, your father-in-law is going up to Timnah to shear his sheep.”

Da legte sie die Witwenkleider von sich, die sie trug, deckte sich mit einem Mantel und verhüllete sich und setzte sich vor die Tür heraus an dem Wege gen Thimnath; denn sie sah, daß Sela war groß worden, und sie ward ihm nicht zum Weibe gegeben.

Entonces quitó ella de sobre sí los vestidos de su viudez, y cubrióse con un velo, y arrebozóse, y se puso á la puerta de las aguas que están junto al camino de Timnath; porque veía que había crecido Sela, y ella no era dada á él por mujer.

And she put her widow’s garments off from her, and covered her with a vail, and wrapped herself, and sat in an open place, which is by the way to Timnath; for she saw that Shelah was grown, and she was not given unto him to wife.

She took off the garments of her widowhood, and covered herself with her veil, and wrapped herself, and sat in the gate of Enaim, which is on the way to Timnah; for she saw that Shelah was grown up, and she wasn’t given to him as a wife.

Da sie nun Juda sah, meinete er, es wäre eine Hure, denn sie hatte ihr Angesicht verdecket.

Y vióla Judá, y túvola por ramera, porque había ella cubierto su rostro.

When Judah saw her, he thought her to be an harlot; because she had covered her face.

When Judah saw her, he thought that she was a prostitute, for she had covered her face.

Und machte sich zu ihr am Wege und sprach: Lieber, laß mich bei dir liegen. Denn er wußte nicht, daß sie seine Schnur wäre. Sie antwortete: Was willst du mir geben, daß du bei mir liegest?

Y apartóse del camino hacia ella, y díjole: Ea, pues, ahora entraré á ti; porque no sabía que era su nuera; y ella dijo: ¿Qué me has de dar, si entrares á mí?

And he turned unto her by the way, and said, Go to, I pray thee, let me come in unto thee; (for he knew not that she was his daughter in law.) And she said, What wilt thou give me, that thou mayest come in unto me?

He turned to her by the way, and said, “Please come, let me come in to you,” for he didn’t know that she was his daughter-in-law. She said, “What will you give me, that you may come in to me?”

Er sprach: Ich will dir einen Ziegenbock von der Herde senden. Sie antwortete: So gib mir ein Pfand, bis daß du mir's sendest.

El respondió: Yo te enviaré del ganado un cabrito de las cabras. Y ella dijo: Hasme de dar prenda hasta que lo envíes.

And he said, I will send thee a kid from the flock. And she said, Wilt thou give me a pledge, till thou send it?

He said, “I will send you a young goat from the flock.” She said, “Will you give me a pledge, until you send it?”

Er sprach: Was willst du für ein Pfand, das ich dir gebe? Sie antwortete: Deinen Ring und deine Schnur und deinen Stab, den du in den Händen hast; Da gab er's ihr und lag bei ihr; und sie ward von ihm schwanger.

Entonces él dijo: ¿Qué prenda te daré? Ella respondió: Tu anillo, y tu manto, y tu bordón que tienes en tu mano. Y él se los dió, y entró á ella, la cual concibió de él.

And he said, What pledge shall I give thee? And she said, Thy signet, and thy bracelets, and thy staff that is in thine hand. And he gave it her, and came in unto her, and she conceived by him.

He said, “What pledge will I give you?” She said, “Your signet and your cord, and your staff that is in your hand.” He gave them to her, and came in to her, and she conceived by him.

Und sie machte sich auf und ging hin und legte den Mantel ab und zog ihre Witwenkleider an.

Y levantóse, y fuése: y quitóse el velo de sobre sí, y vistióse las ropas de su viudez.

And she arose, and went away, and laid by her vail from her, and put on the garments of her widowhood.

She arose, and went away, and put off her veil from her, and put on the garments of her widowhood.

Juda aber sandte den Ziegenbock durch seinen Hirten von Odollam, daß er das Pfand wieder holete von dem Weibe; und er fand sie nicht.

Y Judá envió el cabrito de las cabras por mano de su amigo el Adullamita, para que tomase la prenda de mano de la mujer; mas no la halló.

And Judah sent the kid by the hand of his friend the Adullamite, to receive his pledge from the woman’s hand: but he found her not.

Judah sent the young goat by the hand of his friend, the Adullamite, to receive the pledge from the woman’s hand, but he didn’t find her.

Da fragte er die Leute desselbigen Orts und sprach: Wo ist die Hure, die außen am Wege saß? Sie antworteten: Es ist keine Hure dagewesen.

Y preguntó á los hombres de aquel lugar, diciendo: ¿Dónde está la ramera de las aguas junto al camino? Y ellos le dijeron: No ha estado aquí ramera.

Then he asked the men of that place, saying, Where is the harlot, that was openly by the way side? And they said, There was no harlot in this place.

Then he asked the men of her place, saying, “Where is the prostitute, that was at Enaim by the road?” They said, “There has been no prostitute here.”

Und er kam wieder zu Juda und sprach: Ich habe sie nicht funden; dazu sagen die Leute desselben Orts, es sei keine Hure dagewesen.

Entonces él se volvió á Judá, y dijo: No la he hallado; y también los hombres del lugar dijeron: Aquí no ha estado ramera.

And he returned to Judah, and said, I cannot find her; and also the men of the place said, that there was no harlot in this place.

He returned to Judah, and said, “I haven’t found her; and also the men of the place said, ‘There has been no prostitute here.’”

Juda sprach: Sie hab's ihr, sie kann uns doch ja nicht Schande nachsagen; denn ich habe den Bock gesandt, so hast du sie nicht funden.

Y Judá dijo: Tómeselo para sí, porque no seamos menospreciados: he aquí yo he enviado este cabrito, y tú no la hallaste.

And Judah said, Let her take it to her, lest we be shamed: behold, I sent this kid, and thou hast not found her.

Judah said, “Let her keep it, lest we be shamed. Behold, I sent this young goat, and you haven’t found her.”

Über drei Monden ward Juda angesagt: Deine Schnur Thamar hat gehuret; dazu siehe, sie ist von Hurerei schwanger worden. Juda sprach: Bringet sie hervor, daß sie verbrannt werde.

Y acaeció que al cabo de unos tres meses fué dado aviso á Judá, diciendo: Thamar tu nuera ha fornicado, y aun cierto está preñada de las fornicaciones. Y Judá dijo: Sacadla, y sea quemada.

And it came to pass about three months after, that it was told Judah, saying, Tamar thy daughter in law hath played the harlot; and also, behold, she is with child by whoredom. And Judah said, Bring her forth, and let her be burnt.

About three months later, Judah was told, “Tamar, your daughter-in-law, has played the prostitute. Moreover, behold, she is with child by prostitution.” Judah said, “Bring her out, and let her be burned.”

Und da man sie hervorbrachte, schickte sie zu ihrem Schwäher und sprach: Von dem Manne bin ich schwanger, des dies ist. Und sprach: Kennest du auch, wes dieser Ring und diese Schnur und dieser Stab ist?

Y ella, cuando la sacaban, envió á decir á su suegro: Del varón cuyas son estas cosas, estoy preñada: y dijo más: Mira ahora cúyas son estas cosas, el anillo, y el manto, y el bordón.

When she was brought forth, she sent to her father in law, saying, By the man, whose these are, am I with child: and she said, Discern, I pray thee, whose are these, the signet, and bracelets, and staff.

When she was brought out, she sent to her father-in-law, saying, “I am with child by the man who owns these.” She also said, “Please discern whose these are—the signet, and the cords, and the staff.”

Juda erkannte es und sprach: Sie ist gerechter denn ich; denn ich habe sie nicht gegeben meinem Sohn Sela. Doch beschlief er sie nicht mehr.

Entonces Judá los reconoció, y dijo: Más justa es que yo, por cuanto no la he dado á Sela mi hijo. Y nunca más la conoció.

And Judah acknowledged them, and said, She hath been more righteous than I; because that I gave her not to Shelah my son. And he knew her again no more.

Judah acknowledged them, and said, “She is more righteous than I, because I didn’t give her to Shelah, my son.” He knew her again no more.

Und da sie gebären sollte, wurden Zwillinge in ihrem Leibe erfunden.

Y aconteció que al tiempo del parir, he aquí había dos en su vientre.

And it came to pass in the time of her travail, that, behold, twins were in her womb.

In the time of her travail, behold, twins were in her womb.

Und als sie jetzt gebar, tat sich eine Hand heraus. Da nahm die Wehmutter und band einen roten Faden darum und sprach: Der wird der erste herauskommen.

Y sucedió, cuando paría, que sacó la mano el uno, y la partera tomó y ató á su mano un hilo de grana, diciendo: Este salió primero.

And it came to pass, when she travailed, that the one put out his hand: and the midwife took and bound upon his hand a scarlet thread, saying, This came out first.

When she travailed, one put out a hand, and the midwife took and tied a scarlet thread on his hand, saying, “This came out first.”

Da aber der seine Hand wieder hinein zog, kam sein Bruder heraus; und sie sprach: Warum hast du um deinetwillen solchen Riß gerissen? Und man hieß ihn Perez.

Empero fué que tornando él á meter la mano, he aquí su hermano salió; y ella dijo: ¿Por qué has hecho sobre ti rotura? Y llamó su nombre Phares.

And it came to pass, as he drew back his hand, that, behold, his brother came out: and she said, How hast thou broken forth? this breach be upon thee: therefore his name was called Pharez.

As he drew back his hand, behold, his brother came out, and she said, “Why have you made a breach for yourself?” Therefore his name was called Perez.

Danach kam sein Bruder heraus, der den roten Faden um seine Hand hatte. Und man hieß ihn Serah.

Y después salió su hermano, el que tenía en su mano el hilo de grana, y llamó su nombre Zara.

And afterward came out his brother, that had the scarlet thread upon his hand: and his name was called Zarah.

Afterward his brother came out, who had the scarlet thread on his hand, and his name was called Zerah.
